I created a support ticket for this, and I was told that their security system is blocking me and that they can do nothing about it. They offered a few suggestions, none of which worked. So while I'll be able to read forums on my phone, I cannot react or reply or access my website account via my phone. It'll all have to be done on my laptop. Sigh.

Yesterday, I tried logging into forums via my phone. It sent me a text code to input, and I did, but I got the error "Something went wrong. Try again in a few minutes." I tried again later and this time it didn't ask me for a code, it went straight to "Something went wrong. Try again in a few minutes." A few minutes ago, I tried again, and again I get "Something went wrong. Try again in a few minutes." So, I'm unable to log into GW2 forums with my phone. How can this be fixed?

Never mind, I found the solution! Ignore the "reason for edit"... i accidentally pressed some random keys plus enter...

But in the middle of downloading, after 4.38GB of data was downloaded, I get an error from GW2 saying that the disk space ran out and to please free up space before downloading more of GW2. My USB stick isn't anywhere near full; it says that it still has 226GB of free space. Why am I getting this error? Do I need to do a roundabout way to download GW2 onto the USB stick, or did I buy a faulty USB stick? For background info, the USB stick wasn't recognized as a path for GW2 to download to, so I started the download on my laptop, paused it by closing the client, cut and pasted the newly downloaded GW2 folder into my USB stick, opened GW2 from the USB stick, and let it continue to download. Is this the reason that it thinks that there's no storage space? Also, although I paused the download before too much could be downloaded onto my laptop (before moving it to the USB stick), some files were still downloaded onto my laptop. Namely, the local.dat file and other files in the AppData -> Roaming folder. I'm not sure if there's another folder or files that are being downloaded onto my laptop instead of the USB stick, but the large Gw2.dat file was definitely being downloaded onto the USB stick. Please help; I just want to play GW2 again ;_;

I would like a way to use my eternal ice shards without using karma, and the Sweet Campfire Treat seems like it could solve this problem. How about increasing the eternal ice shard price of the Sweet Campfire Treats and taking away the karma cost? The Sweet Campfire Treat doesn't do anything, just looks cozy and is nice to put down and enjoy with a few friends/strangers, so it's strange that it costs the same as 10 Mistborn Motes (and other similar things). I would really appreciate it if the Sweet Campfire Treats cost no karma and only eternal ice shards.

Ah thanks, I posted in the wrong section. I actually don't have answers to your questions. I don't know what was detected or what detected it. Possibly detected by McAfee, but unsure. All I got was the little download in the bottom left corner saying "Failed - Virus Detected". That's it. I'm not really sure how these things work or how to check the details. I think I'll just not play Guild Wars 2. I'm supposed to have quit gaming anyway 😛

I was thinking about getting back into GW2 and tried to download the installer, but the installation failed, saying that it detected a virus. Is there actually a new virus in the game download? Edit: In the end, I temporarily turned off both my McAfee scanner and Windows Defender to install Guild Wars 2.

It's better to ask in map chat, or in guild chat. Map chat should be enough for now, before the hype over it dies down. Every instance that I've been in was attempting to do it. If everyone brings cc and uses it appropriately, then the only reason to fail the achievement is if someone's cocooned immediately next to the spider. Good luck!

I am in the middle of doing a basic information architecture audit as an exercise for a course that I'm taking. I decided to use GW2's home page, for lack of other ideas. While doing so, I noticed some inconsistencies listed below. I will use a numbered list for ease of reference. Assume that "Home" refers to https://www.guildwars2.com/en/ 1) Home -> Game -> Professions, hovering over Professions lists 8 professions. However, clicking Professions and scrolling all the way down shows Revenant as a 9th profession. 2) Home -> Releases, clicking any of the Expansion tabs takes me to a slightly different page that no longer has the same menu of options for "Game, Releases, Media" and etc. This is not the only section that does this. 3) Home -> Community, hovering over Community shows 3 tabs. Clicking Community -> Leaderboards and hovering over Community again reveals a 4th tab, Affiliate Program. This 4th tab only appears if you're looking from the Leaderboards page. In addition, other tabs disappear while on the Leaderboards page, such as Services -> Download Game, and Releases -> End of Dragons Expansion. There's other things that I noticed, which are a bit too confusing for me to type out. Mostly, it confuses me as someone who's doing their first information architecture audit. There's plenty of inconsistencies throughout the GW2's home page, but no worries--GW2 is still my favorite MMORPG!

I swear that you had posted this in the Bugs section, but I can't find it anymore. I'll repeat what I had replied there, and some. Some hero skills require more than one point. Does your next skill require 10 points, but you only have 9 available? Also, are you doing the hero point events on Klaw, and using the points on the same Klaw? Hero points are per character, not account-wide. If it's because your skills now require 10 hero points each and you're only getting 1 point from every hero point event, you may want to join a HoT or PoF or EoD HP Train. It's a squad with a commander who leads everyone to every hero point within the area advertised in their LFG post (all HoT maps, for example).

Resolved: All of the Labyrinth bosses count for this daily now. --- Someone mentioned this in another section, but under the Dailies tab, there is an achievement for Mad King Says. I think that it's to do it 5 times. It seems to be working as intended, as I get credit for one time every time that I participate, regardless of how many key fragments that I get. But I think that, as a daily, it shouldn't require you to do something 5 times per day, which only happens once every 2 hours. Assuming that you stayed logged in for the whole time, that's 10 hours for one daily. Someone said that it's supposed to be counting key fragments for credit, in which case the daily should only ask for 3 because you can only get 3 fragments a day, for one key a day. The achievement seems to be a bit "bugged" in every way, unless it's not meant to be a daily at all. In which case, I think it's in the wrong achievement section--unless, after doing it 5 times, it counts as a daily? But does it reset progress every day, meaning that you'd have to be online for 10 hours, or at least every 2 hours for 5 times a day, for that daily?

You don't need to stay there for 6 hours straight. You can do mad king says once, get credit for 1/3, go do something else, come back the next day, do mad king says again, etc. You only need to do it 3 times over the course of the whole festival. That's once a week. Edit: Oh, you were talking about the one in the Dailies tab. I thought you were talking about the meta achievement. If the daily is supposed to be counting fragments and not whole keys, it's probably bugged.

If I remember correctly, you should have 2 mad king finishers in that tab now. One for the permanent one, one for the temporary ones. Other possibility is that yes, they display in the same icon, and using up all the temporary ones will eventually leave the permanent one. But hovering over it or clicking on it or some tooltip somewhere should tell you that you have the permanent one.

Some skills require more than one point. Is the number of your available points growing? Does your next skill unlock need 10 points, and you only have 9?
