  1. So what's the best openworld Weaver setup so far based on testing?
  2. and if you're jumped by more than one mob, you're dead before you can even finish your rotation.
  3. I've been using Earth/Water/Weaver, seems pretty solid so far, fire gives more damage, but less sustain.

  5. Its because of the core design of this game, the developers believe disabling your character is the best way to slow your dps rotation on boss encounters. Then you have folks that do not take that into consideration and blow their top about your personal dps. Dps meters are a nice tool to make personal improvements, but it can also be abused by players.
  6. The boss fight was Cairn, most ridiculous design i've ever seen in a game, literally spent more than half the fight face down, can barely get any kind of damage rotation going before you're mindlessly and incessantly interrupted and on the ground again.
  7. I've avoided raiding in this game, I did a boss couple weeks ago, and literally the boss mechanics have you knocked down 90% of the fight, not fun design, I hated it, I stuck with open world instead.
  8. I'm just glad I can put the Skyscale collection behind me, most painful thing i've ever done in any game.
  9. Are there plans to release anymore new skins for the Skyscale mount?
  10. Agreed, the map currency portion of this mount is the biggest time gate in its design, assuming you work 40+ hours a week and have other responsibilities outside of guild wars 2.

Its going to take me twelve weeks to farm 250x of each living world currency for the saddle portion, I work 50 hours a week, plus have two kids, its just not tenable for me to complete this portion in a decent amount of time. Couple more months before i'm able to even think about getting the Skyscale.

Anyone calling for any specific class to be nerfed to adjust TTL has never played games with core pvp stats that separate pve from pvp, if you want pvp to be adjusted for the better, then start a petition calling for core pvp stats. Obviously this will require a whole new set of armor/weapons to be implemented in the game for players to acquire, and force a ton of work onto the developers, but if this issue wont ever be addressed, then you'll know the dev's treat pvp as an after thought.
  13. Time to Live(TTL) was never a consideration in this game by the developers, other companies have obvious solutions. But it would require a huge amount of code and testing, something Anet is obviously not interested in doing. It seems most of their efforts are towards their cash shop and living world episodes which also boost their cash shop. I give you an example, some games have implemented pvp specific stats, ie. resilience for world of warcraft, toughness for games like Rift. Gw2 has no pvp stat to mitigate pve skill damage from players. Which is why I've stayed away from pvp, its stun->dead, all in less than two seconds. Its not fun, and quite silly actually, but it'll come down to the developers to implement specific core stats for pvp that will separate it from pve.
