  1. Anet, I am making you aware that upgrading a newly created WvW guild has become prohibitively expensive. Upgrading guild objective auras to level 8 costs 780 mystic coins plus other materials. This is equivalent to more than 1700 gold, which is way out of line compared to all the other guild upgrades in the game. Remove mystic coins from these recipes and replace them with runes of holding. They are not subject to price inflation.
  2. Has anyone figured out the aggro mechanic for the final boss Varinia Stormsounder? She definitely ignores toughness.
  3. Why are only privileged ArenaNet partners allowed to watch tournament games? Nobody is broadcasting on Twitch anyway.I want to be able to observe the team that beat me as it advances through the tournament.
  4. Hi, this is Trixx from [PINK] Community Portal, the EU JP portal guild.The reduced falling damage is essential for many portal skips. A save way down is often blocked due to the no flight/mount zones and only with a fall damage reducing trait a save portal to the end of a jumping puzzle is possible. With this changes you will lock out the ppl that can not jump, due handicaps or lack of patience or skill or ... , from achievements and dailys. We provide a special service to the communtiy and we won't be able to continue this service in its entirety with these future changes. I'm fairly sure Jumping puzzles were never meant to be 'risk free' parts of the game, nor were they designed to be skipped and completed in many ways they are today. Many are are designed to be challenging content, either exploratory wise (finding the right path) or mechanically wise (being able to make the right jump). Players that are too impatient (that is all jumping puzzles essentially really need: patience, this is coming from a bad jumper myself) simply must accept not to do them. Players need to realise that there will - and should - be some challenging aspects in the game, and many jumping puzzles were designed to fall under that category. The game can't continually be simplified/diluted down to the lowest common denominator.Think before you babble. Jumping puzzles are required content for all legendary weapon precursors. If you make portals impossible you exclude handicapped players from completing any precursor collection.
  5. You're forgetting that there are free-2-play accounts that don't have gliding. In WvW fall damage reduction was obligatory for those accounts.
  6. Interesting. That would make heal tempest meta if not completely overpowered, considering how much healing this class can put out.
  7. Oh whoops, was the quote you had that had TTK in it then linked a video of Redguard taking 5+ people out instantly with well bombs. My fault. The Redguard video is a bad example. The top guild on the top server playing against random undergeared zergs. To assess the time-to-kill pre HoT you need to look at guild vs. guild fights with teams of equal strength. Something like this:
  8. Interesting to see a lot of pre-HoT nostalgia. I started playing after PoF but I've watched some old videos. The zerg fights were mostly melee and lasted longer, one side would be lucky to down and kill 1-2 players before regrouping. Today with the Warclaw those killed players would probably be back and fighting before any side gained a decisive numerical advantage. Careful what you wish for. Nerf the power too much and you may end up with endless fights with no winner. Or maybe these standoffs could be used in a larger strategy? I think currently ranged classes are too powerful. It's particularly painful when you are outnumbered. Just getting close to the enemy zerg is often suicide. The only class I enjoy playing these days is Spellbreaker with the long invulnerability and the blocks. I can run into the enemy, do some CC and damage and run back out. Everything else is either instant death or staying at full range pretending to do some damage.

  10. Have you thought about officially supporting a competitive mode for guild vs. guild which includes leaderboards? The WvW alliance system is already a good attempt to make guilds relevant.

  12. Irrelevant. By the same logic you can also call Kralkatite ore a crafting material because it is used in equal amounts for crafting Astral weapons. In case you haven't noticed there is no WvW legendary trinket. You either want to exclude WvW players from getting legendary trinkets or force them to farm Istan meteorites for weeks? That's why the reward tracks exist, to let players play their favorite game mode while working towards PVE goals.
  13. People who primarily play WvW use the reward tracks to farm LW S4 currencies required for the legendary trinket Vision. This works for most currencies except rose quartz, which is needed in large quantities for the Visions of Istan achievement. Add rose quartz to the Istan reward track in equal amounts to Kralkatite ore, so that people can play their favorite game mode while farming for the legendary trinket.
