  1. populations dead dude and its only shrinking so your getting matched with lower rated people its to the point if i want pvp ill go play wvw now.
  2. ive completed multiple CM titles runs and the grapple mechanic is by far the worst mechanic and is the cause for like 80% of wipes in my group. The grapple hook can just not work at times and in some instances you don't even get a grapple hook and no one can get the last aspect resulting in a wipe. The fractal bugs constantly i tried recently helping a pug get their title and almost all wipes were from bugs and the 3 main culprits are: 1.Grapple hook not working or some rare cases not enough people even getting grapple hook. 2. Eye hitting you when your looking away even when action cam is off. 3. Platform phase happening twice in a row and overlaps with number phase which happened both at 60% and 30%. The mechanics aren't hard its just luck at this point. your lucky if your fractal doesn't bug.
  3. You'll have better luck with other classes as a decapper and contribute more to the team than thief
  4. honestly I'm waiting for the riot or ashes of creation to see what their rogue playing like. playing thief is miserable now my main is a thief i don't use it for any content anymore when i can play something else and be more useful.
  5. The issue is the weapons damage and some functionality are baked into their respective specs as traits. Unless the specs and traits are reworked to offload their functionality to the weapons nothing will change. Because our specs design is so niche and restrictive were the biggest losers of the weapon specialization feature.

  7. i view the preparation rework as Anet just deleting utility skills from thief. They are not fun to use so i don't even use them with the rare exception with shadow portal for when white mantle device is on cd.
  8. i think it would be cooler to have skill 2 be a ground target ability where you throw the axe and it spins there and have skill 3 be a ground target ability that moves the axes. or if we got axe offhand too you could have skills 2, 4, and 5 be ground target skills that drops 1 slightly bigger axe then it flips to let us recast it to relocate the axe to a new position. if axe is offhand you could have skill 3 toggle it between condi and damage . this is only my opinion and i think this would be more fun to play but sadly we dont get axe offhand.

  11. we actually get something good and they take it away. why am i even playing this class anymore. thief is my main and in the last year its the class i played the least because its just not fun to play anymore due to their balance and theres nothing to look forward to with weapon master. why waste my time when other classes can do things better and easier.
  12. the trait line needed a full rework since 2015 when it was gutted to make Daredevil. Acrobatics feels like a mediocre combination of other trait lines. ini regen? ill just take SA to get ini on entering and exiting stealth, reducing effects of movement inhibiting condi's? ill just take DD and run dash to remove em completely, more damage? ill just take kitten or CS, reducing steal cd? ill just take trickery for 20% cd reduction. i like the trait 10% increased damage on shadowstep and would like see more traits that augment gameplay through shadowstep
  13. lol idk anyone running dagger offhand in pvp its been dead for years probably since s/d died. its such an unreliable access to stealth which is why everyone has been using d/p for years because its way easier to access stealth. its not an issue for pve because the mobs literally stand there to take it
