  1. I just wish Sand Swell was a stun breaker and instant cast (or a stack of stab to cover the dumb cast time)
  2. Just like you, as I mentioned a few posts above, I picked a world and ended up being placed on another, where the guild I picked was placed. So, I'm assuming the world selection was problably meant for people who didn't pick up a guild, as picking up a guild seens to have precedence over picking a world. But of course, we never received any word about it, so it's all guessing currently... And I doubt we will have another beta soon enough for me to try again and test my theory.
  3. But did your guild (the one you picked) get assigned to Titan's Staircase? If it did, then it worked.
  4. Not so sure about the dropping part... I just logged on my alt account which I haven't played WvW in like 2 months and it still got assigned to the same server as the guild it had assigned before
  5. So just updating what happened to me, I choose Reaper's Corridor on the World Selection thing to see what would happen if I picked a server and my guild ended up assigned to another. My guild was assigned to Phoenix Dawn and I was assigned to the same server as my guild. So picking a server actually did nothing and choosing a WvW guild took precedence.
  6. tbf, I'm pretty sure they did that because of the addition of the United Legions Waystation which doesn't really affect other game modes outside PvE. Yes, I get what you are trying to imply here, but other than Mechanist and Untamed, can you point me a EoD spec that have tons of CCs that weren't already in game?
  7. These builds are meant to be super tanky while dishing decent damage so, for your general open world content, I believe they should be fine... Granted, I don't entirely expect them to be able to solo group content (Maybe the mechanist one can, but that's more because Mechanist is broken in PvE) but as the name implies, you should face such content as a GROUP. And, except for the Hero challenges in Heart of Thorns, I don't think there is a whole lot of open world group content you may find the need to tackle alone unless you actually want to.
  8. https://metabattle.com/wiki/Open_World#Low-Intensity_Builds You can problably try these... They are usually simplified versions of other builds which you can switch to when you feel confortable enough with the gameplay
  9. You should problably just play Power Reaper then (You can Axe+Focus/Staff instead of using Greatsword)... Or Celestial Harbinger with another weapon instead of the pistol.
  10. Why exactly is this a problem? There was a time most meta builds ran Rune of the Thief. Do you know why? Because you get extra damage from it by positioning behind or by the sides of your target. Thief traits and skills also work the same way despite Backstab saying only "back damage" on the tooltip. Sure, there are some fights where you literally won't ever leave the boss face (like the Boneskinner or Sabetha where you want the entire group stacked in one single point) but it's not a norm. The meta rune for most power builds is Rune of the Scholar, which give you extra damage when above 90%. If being above 90% health wasn't a issue before, why is it now? The only scenarios where I'm usually not above 90% are: 1) my healer is struggling with other people taking free damage that they shouldn't (usually because they are not where they should be) or; 2) I'm dead on the floor 😂 This is actually false... The cleave is BAD (like, real BAD) but it's definetely not NON-EXISTENT. The auto attack chain (which you will be doing a good ammount of your time) hits a second target on all hits (and they do hurt, you can literally do 28k DPS if you just sit there auto attacking). Also, Shadow Flare is a AoE with a respectable damage (granted, the CD is high, making it unreliable if you need constant cleaving). On these two, I definetely agree with you... Normally I don't have issues with random stealths (usually it's on me if I fumble that) but sometimes you get that random scrapper that thinks Sneaky Gyro won't be a issue and pops it on CD for additional Gyro stuff... The Deadeye mark CD kills me a little inside every time I need to pop it and it's not ready yet. I try to work around it's CD and duration when I know the fight will require me to change targets. I think you are going a bit too far by saying it's ineffective in "most fights". In strikes or raids, I don't have any issue playing it and keeping up with the other people on my group. However, I do agree that running D/D DE on fractals is suicide though... It's way too chaotic to be able to maintain the conditions the build need to deal good damage.
  11. Double Daggers Deadeye (Thief Daggers got buffed in the current patch) You basically just CnD into Backstab every time Revealed wears off while pressing Assassin Signet and Shadow Flare on CD. Only on 25% you should add Heartseeker to the rotation for some 5 malice Backstabs. I'm pretty sure it was at SnowCrow site at some point, but it's not exactly the best DPS out there and it have very little cleave potential (Also, I was only hitting 32k prior the dagger buffs which is very low compared to other benchmarks on their site), but it's simple enough to let you focus on doing what you have to do on the fight while still contributing well to the damage. Also Rifle DE is stronger (40k Benchmark prior current patch), but it have a much more punishing rotation. Edit: Nvm, they just added the D/D DE to their site with a 44k Benchmark. It's slightly different from the one I'm using but it no longer have the rifle in the rotation as it used to (the one I mentioned above)
  12. Well, too bad... I honestly prefer simple rotations to be able to do decent damage so people can actually focus on doing the fight mechanics instead of doing subpar dps because any little thing the fight throws their way will ruin their 238096598234652 buttons rotation. Unless you enjoy having to 8 (or less) man 10 man content because some dudes failed to do fight mechanics while trying to match their golem benchmark on a actual fight. Then, I guess we'll just continue to agree to disagree.
  13. idk about 30k damage autos, but I'm happy with my 3 skill rotation being able to pull 38k+ on golem
  14. I used to like Chronomancer when it wasn't outclassed by every other support in the game outside being a pull bot in WvW.. Now I just play Mechanist because I'm tired of playing the not-so-good support
