  1. (Haven't been in game yet) -- Does it feel like you have enough healing with staff to not need Vigorous Shouts? That at least opens up your utility skills (per your links). Defense Banner still looks good. If you over stack boons, even if you drop out of Berserker mode every once in a while that's probably fine
  2. I feel like that's just wrong. I remember seeing the same people when it was solo queue. Just play for fun and nothing else matters.
  3. Please for the love of god be a full support weapon (i.e. guardian staff like)
  4. One idea I had was instead of only giving quickness if it was -6 upkeep, it could instead be an increased amount of quickness depending upon tiers. Let's just pretend their current proposal is 3s of quickness every 3s when you have -6 upkeep (I hope its better than this, but just an easy example). Instead what if it was something like this? -2 upkeep = 1s quickness every 3s -4 upkeep = 2s of quickness every 3s -6 upkeep = 3s of quickness every 3s -8 upkeep = 4s of quickness every 3s This way you could still get some quickness value without the full -6, but you also could weigh that against keeping up specific glint facets. However the issue here as others have pointed out is that draconic echo is so good for the other boons. This will definitely impact DPS quick herald, as it will greatly reduce might, fury, regen, swiftness, prot uptime. Heal will probably be less affected because you overcap so hard anyway, but still annoying. I do wish there was a re-work in place that tied the upkeep quickness with draconic echo. The idea of having it tied to upkeep isn't necessarily bad because you can then give some quickness outside of Glint, but Draconic Echo is just so good for all of the other boons.
  5. No I was specifically talking about people who try to win with a friend. That is what is 'fun'. I'd also argue they also could just removed unranked instead of what you are describing.
  6. The d/sh+GS build with banner of defense is going to take over anyway, so we'll be seeing much less of the hammer setup.
  7. TBH the opposite direction of this is actually the right answer IMO. What should happen is that the leaderboard should always show everyone's rating, regardless of number of games played. They could 'gray out' the players who haven't made the game minimum for that week, and then at the very end of the season it should just remove the players who haven't done 120 games. At this point in the games lifespan, transparency should be priority. There's no reason why it should be possible to just hide under the game minimum.
  8. People are forgetting the most important part of a 2v2 offseason ranked for two weeks. Duo queue will not, and should not be removed simply because playing with a friend is more fun than playing solo with a person you don't know. Fun = how this is mode is designed. The level of imbalance and the problems that arise are secondary to the fun factor.
  9. Primarily the boon duration needed is what I was referring to
  10. Not a whole lot of love for Renegade in the November 29th patch. The alacrity build especially could use some love to bring it ever so slightly up. Not requiring such as high of boon duration for example. That is all! Thanks
  11. Here's the setup I use which is the SC rotation but has 35% boon duration for a bit more wiggle room. Still exactly 100% crit and just trades some power/ferocity for 5% more boon duration. http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PmwAwyZlxQKMPyi1RXMOCjRSiMCqgJ7larE-zRZYBhg7YL6IFwhKCvMaLFqoCsdWiYZDA-e
  12. Two reasons: - It will now only take two burst skills on spellbreaker to reach 4/4 stacks, but currently two burst skills gets you to 2/3 stacks. This means that the highest part of the burst (i.e. the first 5-10s) will burst more, which can greatly inflate the benchmark due to how good the tactics 20% modifier is. - There are specific points in the current rotation where you can see it drops from 3/3 stacks to 2/3 stacks. Because of how the new Berserker's Power will work, once it reaches 4/4 stacks it should never drop below 4/4 stacks throughout the rest of the rotation, because 2 currently = 4 post patch. The first point impacts the burst which is the large impact, the second point impacts a smaller part of the total damage in the rotation, but both of these together combined should be able to account for ~700 total DPS across the benchmark, which is all that is needed to hit 36k. Maybe it comes a bit short, but I can easily see that rotation going from 35.3k -> 36k.
  13. Its also getting better next patch with the berserker's power change. Should be right around 36k next week with definitely over a 50k burst in the first 20%. It also generates some group might and some minor quickness. Not a bad melee DPS slot.
  14. Let's keep the posts on topic at this point. TBH I'm not really interested in moderation related discussions.
