  1. But it's so weird to compare a "complete experience" that will last until the servers shut down to one that will last for just 1 month.
  2. A situation that lasts for two weeks is entirely irrelevant if we want to honestly compare the price of two games. Literally just 11 days from now WoW will again cost $65 to access the entire game for a single month.
  3. This promotion lasts for two weeks and I don't remember them ever doing something similar before. LS episodes are consistently free for several months after release. You cannot compare a temporary promotion of one game with the full price of another.
  4. Could you please stop lying? $15 for a "complete" WoW experience that lasts a whopping 1 month is a temporary, 2 week long promotion.
  5. I've compared the price of every gem store item that I deem somewhat necessary with the price of a WoW in this thread. (please ignore my questionable english lol) Gw2 is undeniably significantly cheaper than WoW.
  6. This is a lie. Just a straight up lie. The latest expansion (Shadowlands) won't be free until the prepatch of the next expansion and will immediatly lose any kind of relevance outside of cosmetics. EDIT: Sorry I was misinformed, Shadowlands is free right now until September 5th (after which it'll cost money again, this is just a two week long promotion that I don't remember them ever doing before) but it's been out for 2 years now and the new expansion will be released by the end of the year. WoW also has a cash shop that sells mounts, pets, toys, server transfers, name, race and faction changes and allows you to buy gold with real life money.
  7. To be able to play WoW's newest, relevant content you have to pay around $65 ($50 for the expansion, 15$ for the subscription). This allows you to play for one single month. Just one. You have to buy the newest expansion to play any kind of meaningful content because past expansions essentially provide nothing but leveling and cosmetics. They even remove core game mechanics from past expansions. Every single piece of content Gw2 has to offer is only $35 more expensive than a single month of WoW, and starts to get cheaper after just 3 months. $65 for one month vs. $100 until a new expansion comes out, which will take several years.
  8. Well this is highly dishonest considering both WoW and FFXIV charge monthly subscription fees that are 4 to 5 times more expensive than a single LW episode.
  9. The complete lack of horses in this game is basically a running joke by now, so I wouldn't put much hope into getting them. One was even edited out of the Kaineng loading screen.
  10. You're making quite a lot of assumptions about me. Not once did I even mention liking LW, in fact I'm not a big fan of LW whatsoever and much prefer expansions. I don't know if independent one-off LW episodes would be better, the same or worse than the current model, and neither do you. I'm not defending anything.
  11. Maybe they're going for smaller, map specific stories. Maybe they're just renaming the entire concept. But a map with story in it is exactly what LW episodes are, what else could it possibly be?
  12. They absolutely did announce that there will be a new Living World season though? Sure they didn't specifically mention Living World, but new maps and story is exactly what Living World is...
  13. Well I just did exactly that. Kaineng, at this exact moment, has 13 groups listed in the LFG, 8 of them for the Meta, and 6 of them are on full or almost full maps. Both Echovald and Dragon's End currently have 3 meta groups each, but the number for Dragon's End is constantly changing atm with groups filling up very quickly
  14. It will be the case. But you can easily add non-steam games to your steam app.
  15. Log-in rewards are the main reason, followed by time gated crafting and home instance harvesting. I have two accounts but I plan on buying more
