  1. I don't. I quit the game in 2019 cause I got tired of the constant, aggravating grind this game is and the attitudes that are holding it back from improving. I'm actually here atm cause a Reddit post with news regarding EP3 linked the announcement.*I did log in the client twice to claim the episodes though. The second time I even managed to keep the game on for more than 15 minutes cause I got the mail for this new Super event going on, tried it, seemed fun and fresh until I realized it's pretty much a huge grind for some AP and some meh skins, just like all the previous ones. Uninstalled right after.Maybe some day they'll fix the game to actually reward you for playing without needing to grind like a full time job or take the wallet shortcut for gems. Maybe they'll add an automated matchmaking system like every other online game has so 75% of the end game content stops being gatekept by like 10-15% of players too. Maybe by 2025 when the new expansion releases. o/
  2. I made the decision this Christmas to buy an SSD to improve my gw2 play! Maybe in the future when I buy some other xTB HDD to put in my PS2 & PS3 games I might just pity the game enough to squeeze a bit of space to download it and then let it collect dust with those. If the game is still around by then.
  3. I'm not. Finally made the decision to delete the game today after going back and forth about it. It's not worth the 45GB of SSD space it takes.

The paywall has been the biggest complaint about this new system for a while now (in this forum and especially outside of it) and that one point of criticism (the main point of criticism really) is conveniently ignored every single time. Color me surprised, just like every other time they've paywalled QoL features. Mark my words, Taco is gonna be next. "Contract Black Lion Company scouts to map out and mark helpful routes, guides and icons on your map. For the low, low price of 500 gems per map".
  5. Maybe don't give money to a game that doesn't reward you for the time and effort you put in it in any way whatsoever? Try that.
  6. 1k rare bags opened in a day (all from different sources like Bjora, Dragonfall, Istan, Auric, DS, TD etc.), 3 exotics. Seems legit.
  7. The event chain that starts with the "Help the cubs defeat Kasmeer's illusions!" event seems to stall randomly and when it does, it doesn't spawn again until daily reset/ any reset. I imagine that isn't intended + it pretty much breaks the achievement "Teacher's Assistants". Also (unrelated) even though I'm luckily done with it (cause I camped the spot and had to wait for daily reset), here's a PSA that the Lady Shamshir bounty in Istan is still bugged, two years since it was first reported in this forum. The bounty itself will spawn but cannot be interacted with.
  8. I saw someone link a cape called "Basic Guild Cape". And yes it looks like a far lesser version of the gem store one as expected.... :/ I took a look at it, it's literally a bib. They shared a trailer of the BLC cape on YouTube and people called them out on the obvious quality difference between the paid and earnable cape. My page refreshed for whatever reason and suddenly "Comments are turned off" lmao.
  9. It's a nice episode even though it feels like more of a prologue than the actual prologue we got. Still, I understand it's a WIP and that the map will get bigger. I have some nitpicks regarding the content we've gotten so far though. I understand that the stronger version of Boneskinner is reserved for the upcoming strike rotation but you could at least give the open world variant some better stat scaling? It feels so insignificant currently. The rewards for the meta feel underwhelming. Definitely need a few buffs there - the only incentive to keep coming back for the meta currently is for the achievement tied to it - what happens when that's done though? A week for a strike rotation is too much waiting time. Also, you could do with a few buffs to the rewards. Getting the mastery drops right now feels like an annoying chore instead of something complementary to the combat - especially since most fights will be well over by the time you get the required stacks. Maybe lower the required drops needed to actiivate the buffs and/ or make the drops more frequent. Also, the active part of the buff really puzzles me. I don't get what I need to do to trigger it. In some encounters I'll get the active every few seconds, in others, I won't get it at all or just once. It happens with the same, consistent DPS and activity. Not a nitpick: I like the direction of the story. It's kinda spooky and I love spooky content. A suggestion: you know those novelty items where people pull out a chair or throne or whatever and sit? What if you did something like that but instead of a chair, you get to pull out a campfire where the character interacts with the various objects. That would be super cool for roleplaying. And finally, also not a nitpick, just a note: keep strike missions as they are. They don't need to be more difficult or easier, people shouldn't have to go through the grind and annoyances of getting ascended gear and whatnot to do them like T4s and raids require atm. it would suck if yet another piece of content starts being gatekept by like a super toxic minority of this game's community, like raids have ended up being. Hell, just walk away from them if possible. Transition the existing raids to strikes and make most people happy. Keep resources and quality content where the majority of your players are.
  10. Well you see when the target demographic is not the overwhelming majority of players, that can be problematic. This content that takes time and money to make is only enjoyed by a few people, to me that doesn't seem like a sound decision. I think that the developers have begun seeing that too as budget and schedules have gotten tighter so it's probably why they're already introducing "easy" mode raids aka strike missions. Hopefully those do well so that the day they move on completely from raids comes sooner rather than later. And you and the target demographic for the raids can happily continue gatekeeping Vale Guardian, Samarog and co. as you repeat them for the 1000th time. :)
  11. As others have pointed out, before PoF Anet shot down any possibility of mounts. And here we are now. It'll be a while before they come to their senses and rework Skyscale and Griffon to be proper flying mounts but it'll happen eventually.
  12. Salty guardian/ warrior mains demanding that engis/ thiefs and mesmers can never be viable in any way whatsoever. The audacity of those classes to survive their encounters with guardians/ warriors for more than 2-3 seconds.
  13. Been trying to do this for about a week now with LFG and all but at most one player will show up when like 5 are needed to do it. Idk what to do at this point + it's the last achievement I need to be done with HoT.

Completing the HoT maps (and the achievements for them) and all story missions (base, HoT and PoF) solo.Getting the Ascended spec collections.Having all crafting professions maxed.Also whenever I can help someone with a jp, or with directions or a portal that makes me happy and is a small "accomplishment" on its own for me. Now I'm AP hunting and at the same time I need to create a Warrior, a Gurdian, a Revenant and Elementalist to unlock their specs too since I have the others.
