  1. Steams ESO store page lists 8 GB for recommended memory. How can GW2s be 24 gb.
  2. I'm really happy with the skyscale now that I've got all the masteries. Aiming the attack might require some more practice. Not a big deal to me.
  3. Well it's got to be related to the "Long Live the Lich" update. I've been playing since 2012 and never had problems backing up... mounted or unmounted. It's most likely caused by the new Beetle mount code. Please fix this ANET!
  4. I've also experienced this issue... twice so far. Both times on the new map. I had been playing for quite awhile before the bug showed itself. Switching maps fixed it. First occurred 2 days ago and then today. Sent in-game bug report.
  5. Just froze up again. On Cursed Shore map while on griffon. I was flying around map looking for orrian saplings to log when this happened. Map was pretty empty. Really getting tired of this s___!
  6. It's the western bone wall that's causing this. Might be the huge bonfires/smoke on top or just the high level of detail in the wall. And the fact it's sooo huge. Facing the wall my fps goes down into the 20's. Using High graphics settings... Native (1920x1080) render sampling... All reflections... FXAA antialiasing... all bottom boxes are checked. 7. Exactly. The November 7th update seems to be the likely cause of these problems. Before it I was fine. After, freezes and stuttering.
  8. Neither of these 2 systems are running the W10 Fall Creators Update. So this problem/solution might be Anet's? Not sure if that's good or bad news. For me the freezes started around the second week of November and for what it's worth sometime after I got the griffon mount. It's pretty much the only mount I use now. Is it a mount issue? idk. Maybe the problem lies with Anet's server location move to Amazon and east coast... idk. 9. Just froze up in Crystal Desert. Let it sit there awhile to see if it recovered but nothing. I should just download the windows 10 iso previous to fall creators update and do a clean install of OS.
  10. I posted 2x above a few days ago. Same stuff, freezing... ctrl-alt-del... signout and back again... all good. Yesterday, for the first time, I had a couple of very short (1-2 sec) freezes that didn't stick and the game continued after. I've been noticing stuttering in the game for a while now and now I'm wondering if the stuttering is just a series of these really really short/micro freezes (millisec. range). The duration of the freeze might be the changing variable. I wonder if left long enough one of the freezes that seem to require ctrl-alt-del might actually recover like the shorter ones.
  11. Since it might be a Directx problem with the Fall Creators Update I decided to install the last Directx SDK from June 2010. Just need to install the runtime i think but i installed the whole thing. Fingers crossed.
  12. I'm also getting freezes. Started about a week ago. PC lets me cont-alt-del and sign out and back again. I checked the 2 boxes in the compatibility tab of the Gw2.exe properties (disable fullscreen optimizations and override high dpi scaling). I also disabled windows 10 game bar, game dvr and game mode. disabled game mode in registry. After doing all that tonight I got another frozen screen. PC doesn't even log any event critical or otherwise and gw2 doesn't give its crash dialog box for sending info to anet. My GeForce drivers are current. I have an intel i7 2600k, 2 gtx 660's sli and 8gb ddr3 ram.
