  1. I have been using the Mac to play this game since 2012. All that I can say is "so long and thanks for all the fish". My gaming needs are satisfied by the XBOX.
  2. I love the new map. The storyline is getting interesting too. The amount of difficulty is just right. The lack of voice acting hit hard. The video made by voice actors in quarantine was beautiful. Can't wait for the next issue of living story / saga.
  3. Understood. There is no beta-program for interested users and there is no company/developer contact for early testings.Good to know :pensive: For those who want to check whether their XProtect is up-to-date: https://eclecticlight.co/lockrattler-systhist/ does check this and other components. While you are being sarcastic about Apple Developer & Beta programs, ArenaNet should invest some time and effort in testing the game with upcoming software releases. -- https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/ Thanks for the link for checking software update. I installed the command line tool.
  4. Thanks for that. XProtect seems to be stuck. Killing it in Activity monitor relaunches it. But this also allows the game client to load. Is this a problem on Apple's side?
  5. I had the same problem with Catalina 10.15.4. Game wouldn't start. It just bounced on the dock. EDIT: From the terminal, forcing some cleaning seems to have fixed it.__ cd /Applications/Guild Wars 2 64-bit.app/Contents/MacOSrm CoherentUI_Hostcd ~/Library/Application\ Support/rm -rf Guild\ Wars\ 2 __ Try that and see if it works for you. Worked for me.
  6. The problem persists on my iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015). The only way to stop it from crashing is to set graphics to "max performance" which turns everything off. Using "Auto Detect" on graphics causes the crash randomly. This is a poor work around and it is certainly not due to outdated graphics card. (AMD Radeon R9 M395 2 GB) I hope they identify and fix the problem soon.
  7. I don't think they will let their investment into making the Mac client go waste. But they really need to communicate more. I am hoping that GW2 will be playable on my Mac after MacOS Catalina release. I have no intention of messing around with Windows. GW2 under WINE is slow.
  8. Hi, Please fix the Mac 64bit client so that it works with MacOS Catalina. We are regularly getting warnings that GuildWars2 is not going to work with the next release of MacOS as it is not optimised. Thanks.
