  1. The last half year I worked intensive on my second Master degree and evaluated a global operating company. I've learned several techniques to measure process performance. For this I created a maturity model and measuring points for the application of Six Sigma and recorded and evaluated thousands of key figures. Last but not least I created a 40k word essay with 165 sites, cited key Literatur and showed academically the need of the developed tools. The results of my thesis are now used to improve the process performance which will save the company a lot of money. Others of us got children, moved to another country or state and began a totally different life from the one they had in the past. One or two even were promoted and are now working on tasks not even remotely like the ones they did. We had to learn complex stuff very new to us and are able to meet the requirements for our job, for our lives, for ourselves. Life changed for us all I could say. But not GW2. GW2 stayed the same. The same bugged, broken balanced game it started to be after the first years. We did all the mentioned things above while ANet managed to come up with ~ 10 number changes to mesmer in PvP and WvW from which 50% are nerfs and they still haven’t reverted the one dodge nerf. The point is, this stuff needs so long to be fixed, by the time it is fixed humanity has reach world peace or a state of warhammer 40k.
  2. To respond to op, I feel the same and it pretty much made me turn away from gw2. Everything feels so clunky and lack luster. Taking Mirage or chrono feels more like a punishment then an enhancement. And taking Core is unbearable to begin with making it all around an unpleasant experience. Even more so the variants of traits you can pick from. The change to chaos trait line to base everything around condi damage / regen made it even worse for me. And all the time this underlaying feeling of getting your coolest stuff outsourced. To give one of the latest examples, look at Chaotic Interruption compared to Fervent Force (GM trait of Untamed). Chaotic Interruption: When you interrupt a foe, recharge one of your equipped-weapon skills at random. Recharge Time: 5s ICD: 1s - Restricted to interrupt - Restricted to one skill - Restricted to weapon skills - Dosnt reduce the CD of the skill that is used to interrupt a foe - ICD prevents it to be triggered more then twice with gwell - Added RNG factor Fervent Force: Disabling a foe reduces the cooldown of all of your equipped skills (by 2s) Disables includes stun, daze, …, taunt and fear Recharge Time: 2s ICD: 1/4s - Will be triggered even with daze - Resets ALL skills including utility and elite - No restrictions at all For me personally it really feels like they had an idea for chaotic interruption but the new trait was so nicely working that they just added it to one of the new especs to give them something unique instead of using the new version on mesmer. Because, to be honest, Fervent Force is how chaotic interruption should be, if you ask me. It truly bothers me that once more things like this get outsourced to other classes while mesmer has a dead GM trait since years. I mean it was never a good trait to begin with but apparently it could have been. And it truly bothers me that in special interrupt related things get added to other classes while it is one of the last identity’s this class has beside the obvious ones. It leaves such a bad taste when other classes get new traits and skills to do the exact same thing as your class can and at the same time mesmer gets negated or even worse receives nerfs in special to those traits and skills to make sure it is worse in those aspects. The best time I had with this game was before HoT but since the add ones can’t be undone I would say right after the phantasm change was one of the most interesting times. You had so much choices and the combat was much more fluently then it is now with all those restrictions implemented. It’s like you play a totally different game now. I still can’t believe how this could have happened but then I remember all the fan boys cheering for the Bad changes till it went to truly unenjoyable experience it is now. Latest example is this nonsense „bring the player not the class“ vision or what ever it is. Perfect Chrono wells add again alacrity, we have so much more variety in PvP now, it’s amazing /s I wonder why no one is coming up with some amazing builds…
  3. No, Chaos should never have condition damage. It should be based around utility and used regardless of power, condition or support. That Chaos adds condition damage is just because a dev didn’t like axe and wanted to play staff Mirage with alacrity.
  4. From a PvP / WvW point of view - Chaotic interruption should finally be made acceptable again. What we have now is a place holder and doesn’t really function. And the random factor on it is just terrible. It needs definitely a rework. - Delayed reactions should be buffed. 1,5s of slow on a daze means 0,5s effective slow time. That’s not acceptable. - Danger time should be looked at. After the nerf it feels more like a minor trait and not a major trait. It just isn’t rewarding to take it and the duration is so low you feel in such a hurry to dish out at least one skill in this time that you always combine it with gs wombo combo and mantra of distraction. And if danger time really needs to be bound to slow then chrono has in general way to clunky possibility’s to apply slow without delayed reactions combined with mantra of distraction. It definitely needs another effect on activation and a longer duration. - Weapon skills in general should be buffed. It’s a huge problem that specific weapons are only for specific alignments. Staff shouldn’t be taken only from condi builds. Scepter shouldn’t be taken only from condi builds. These days the choices are to one dimensional. Number changes for the beginning are the least and tbh those skills just hit like a wett noodle on power builds. Lot of Phantasms need urgently buffs. - Staff 3 received 2x 50% nerfs, the summoning of 3x chaos Stroms was deleted and the effect to deal more damage with every condition on the enemy was deleted. It lost every identity and is only a clone spawner now. - When you take focus you have to „trade“ a extremely bad phantasm for a pull. It feels like a punishment to take focus because of this. The phantasm is in this case mostly or only used to spawn a clone. - Same Case with Torch 5. It feels so random and is terrible for power builds in this state even with the daze. More often is the use of it to just spawn a clone then due to its actual effect. - Sword 5 is okeyish beside the pathing problem. But it could be a nice touch to have a port instead of a leap or a buff to sword 4 to compensate the relatively underwhelming effect of sword 5. Sword offhand is just still to underwhelming outside of PvE. - Chaos armor needs some love and with this also chaotic transference. It is such a bad design to place this trait on the same row as chaotic potency, while staff is the only weapon that actually HAS chaos armor as weapon skill. - And it is such a bad design to add condition damage on both skills, chaotic transference and chaotic potency. It deletes every diversity in chaos and pushes power builds further into specific trait lines. This really has to be changed again. Due to the design of staff with staff 4, chaos armor enhancements and staff skill enhancements have to be on the same trait or different rows AND need to provide utility not power or condition damage in my opinion. - If ANet would work on the combo finishers in general, chrono could get a whole new depth in terms of build diversity and could make some interesting bruiser builds with staff sword shield or pistol, wells and interrupt traits. Plus it could finally bring back the combo with pistol and focus, would buff indirectly staff 4 and gave wells another purpose then just being a alacrity applier on use. - The skills in general need urgently more depth. After all those years ANet took out to many effects and pushed weapons, traits and skills to only one specific purpose. Be it due to traits that no longer provide effects to specific skills or due to the skills itself being nerfed. You do not have to combine smartly traits so that A fits to C instead of B because there is no trait or skill that supports this decision.

Maybe you mean the discord leak? Like how am I supposed to know what you mean. Well look, we have an occasion that proves you wrong after you gave this statement from you. I point it out. Why do you think you can give those statements if they are clearly just wrong to begin with. You are actually giving the impression that everyone who is complaining is actual wrong instead of you which is even more harmful then you think.   8. More or less. I make statements according to my experience with this company over the past 10 (17) years. You with 2 years experience and no knowledge about the time before. I’m to 99% sure those are all balance changes that will be shipped out. And if not then it will be the first time in 4 years that they add more then minor changes after the balance patch preview. Most likely they have meant that bug fixes and NPC fixes and stuff like that will be added to the notes afterwards. Yeah yeah. This is again something similar like your strawman some post before. You know this is not true, I know this is not true. I just want my stuff back and will give accordingly feedback if they delete game content. And tbh again an pure insult considering how long I am already here providing feedback to balance patches. If you mean the 2 dodge mirage discussion. Indeed. And we already had this discussion here for years and a good amount of people, so as me, would prefer to revert the nerfs, which have been carried out because of 2 dodge mirage, instead of giving a second doge back. But again this is something we agreed long time ago and even suggested it here more then once. Instead we got alac mirage.. Idk man. We had the lowest common denominator attitude here. I personally am not willed for compromises anymore. It went already to far and this game misses to much. Same Team is relatively spoken then since the most patches got celebrated from to many people while it deleted our stuff. But maybe finally the community notices that it is a pile of garbage which gets rolled out every 6 month by canal rats. That was not the point. The point is You denounce every person who has spent a lot of time in the past giving a company feedback to their product, while exactly the the opposite is happening to, now, chrono of what you are giving away from you. Because the whole community agreed on chrono being absolute kitten.
  9. This wasn’t exactly my point here but nice to hear your point of view too. The thing is you are talking about that the community first has to admit the real state of mesmer, while the whole community knows how bad of a play chrono is and still, chrono receives the most ridiculous changes. Maybe I’m gambling but considering the past nothing will happen to those changes. They will be shipped as they are written down. Best example is virtuoso, where they had 6 month to adjust. And tbh I can not think of a reason why they should leave out a larger amount of patch notes. Oh but this is not everything. Those notes will not only be implemented as they are. They will not be touched for minimum of 2 years now. You don’t believe me? The most mandatory thing, IP, was given back to chrono after min. 2 years after they deleted it. There is no chance the will spend resources on something that is not even remotely as important as IP. This is also something. Yes you expected it but honestly, everyone here was expecting nothing at all because that’s how ANet is now. It just shows that you are not even remotely familiar with the past of this game which makes some things you say to basically an insult to the people who are in year 4 of patches that delete game content: and the worst part is you do not even understand that chrono lost again some builds. MesmerDuelingMaster Fencer: => Straight nerf to Power Mesmer VirtuosoQuiet Intensity:Bladesong Sorrow: => I don’t care ChronomancerSeize the Moment: => It’s okeyish but considering we lose Quickness on Shield 5 again and now has to be traited is a bitter taste. Lost Time: Stretched Time: => Band aid fix for wells, which has to be traited. ANet just lied when saying they want to fix wells. It makes the situation even worse since considering the past this will be the status of wells for another 2 or more years. They are still not only useless they handicap you if you consider taking them in any build with no streched time traited. => I just now noticed with the change of LostTime they also nerfed a huge part of the utility rupter chrono they wanted with Chaotic Interruption and Vicious Expression. ShieldTides of Time: => The swifness Part is a little bit meh but I like the might. With Size the moment it could do some nice things but tbh chrono was the last espec that needed more burst on its wombo combo. Overall every build of chrono loses something important cause alac or quickness now have to be traited. Bad change. WellsWell of Action: => Why would someone stay inside the well for super speed? This doesn’t make any sense at all. We had Super Speed on glamour. You deleted it and now give it back on the end tick of a well? Lmao Well of Recall: => This is again a change to a more and more passive combat playstyle. Like seriously who is in charge for such things? All in all disappointing as always. ANet deletes every source of quickness and Alacrity from Chronomancer and push those two boons in 2 separate GM traits. Alacrity is now liked to wells, which still require you to stand inside till they end to receive the full effects of them. The effects of the wells itself getting worse and worse to a point you handicap yourself taking them. The change to Lost time also deletes every chance to receive alacrity without extremely clunky skills and therefore deletes all access to alacrity in PvP. Furthermore this change directly nerfs the utility rupter build in WvW with vicious expression and chaotic interruption, making the build variety for mesmer in WvW even smaller. PLUS you destroy once again synergy in the top chrono traitline itself AND other traitlines by deleting another GM trait dedicated to interrupt which effects every interrupt build, dedicated to small scale and Zerg fights. This patch is another nerf to chronomancer, core and virtuoso and deletes even more variety of this game. You should really think about the changes and if you not want to delay them. The changes you provide at the very moment and in the past 4 years made this game to a stall and bland experience. The build diversity is not given anymore because with every patch you rip out skills, traits and mechanics and delete the thoughts of the original dev team irrevocable. Synergies between traits, skills, mechanics and more important between classes go over board. Instead of builds you just play condi/power/Support + Core/Chrono/Mirage/Virtuoso because all other traits in that line and other traitlines are useless for the purpose of the specific thing you want to achieve. And if you really have the choice between two traits those traits are already behind a 4 years nerf marathon and affecting your build so marginal that it really doesn’t matter at all which trait you take. This game has lost something again with this patch.
  11. They indeed deleted 2 options (well of action and tides of time) but gave tides of time through the trait back. (Typical ANet balance) and yes, apparently without traits chrono now has basically 0 source for group quickness beside Time Warp.
  12. After thinking about it, what is missing in the patch notes is the change to rune of chronomancer. Would be odd the leave it like it is when they want that wells are for alacrity. Maybe we should not talk about it in the forums. Hopefully they will forget it as incompetent as they are and chrono still is the one class with alac and quickness 😛

  14. @Waffles.5632 soo my dear, you talk about changes can first happen when the community admits the real state of mesmer? Another key component for builds like an interrupt chrono got deleted. I lost with another patch another build. Would you like to elaborate how the heck does this even remotely comes close of what you are talking here?
  15. I feel like the same. We getting changes sold as buffs but at the end of the day we have less to take and less variety in build diversity. Chrono rupter in general is smiter booned now and we have lost the synergy between 3 traits. I thought the top line was dedicated to interrupt. Now danger time got heavily nerfed, lost time is not available anymore and the 1,5s slow on an interrupt are worthless anyways. This means we have now 4 dead traits in the chrono line with no real concept.
