  1. The new design philosophy that has been spoken about in the Studio Updates, suggests a desire to encourage players to delve into core content and other expansions rather than just focusing on new maps and new expansions. Given that masteries also function beyond their original expansions, it seems logical to let players progress on a mastery track outside the exclusive zones of those expansions, provided they've purchased the relevant content. Currently, if I want to advance an expansion exclusive mastery track, I'm limited to expansion exclusive maps. Ideally, I should be able to choose any mastery track I've gained access to and play wherever I wish to earn xp progression towards that mastery, rather than being restricted to particular areas. While it's reasonable to earn mastery points in the expansion zones related to them – promoting exploration and engagement with new content – the subsequent experience progression feels unnecessarily restrictive. The current system feels outdated and opposes the intent to enhance the core game experience. How? If playing in maps outside of an expansion hinders my ability to progress, then all of that content becomes immediately obsolete. This, ironically, shortens my engagement time with any new expansion because it results in content burnout at an accellerated pace. Without flexibility, every new mastery track inadvertently escalates this sense of obsoletion, at least for me as a player who is primarily motivated by systems that promote shorter feedback loops for a sense of progression. Like leveling and mastery tracks. If I choose to engage in activities in previous zones, it feels like a halt in my progression since any XP gained outside new maps feels like a missed opportunity. P.S. LET ME DYE MY WEAPONS! Thanks. ❤️
  2. I understand the balance perspective on total pool for Specter, but I feel like an 80% nerf is a bit heavy handed here and will likely effectively kill the specs viability in pvp and pve. Hopefully this number comes up about 15%-20% before this goes live. I spent several hours dueling 1v1 with meta spec on specter against a mirage Mesmer. I died every single round with them still at 90% hp. I swapped to a mechanist in full support spec, beat them nearly every round after. Even at full shroud, the hp was not enough of a gain to counter a Mesmer running shatter build mirage, and ended up dying in less than 10s after engaging. Side note, I remember when you did this to me to reaper and it absolutely destroyed the class to the point it was not fun to play in any game mode which forced me to re-roll off necro (a class I had stuck with since launch) because you’d also nerfed base necro through the floor at the time. I re-rolled my first character (thief) to daredevil, enjoyed that for a bit, then that got nerfed so hard it couldn’t even fight trash mobs in open world. By that time you had fixed reaper at least. I was planning on re-rolling the daredevil to specter til you fix DD, but after reading what you have planned it sounds like that spec is going to be deader than DD. It makes me a bit sad tbh because I really love the specter’s design and concept, and as a primarily PVE player, if I won’t even be able to enjoy the pve content on it because it crumples to trash mobs because your efforts to balance pvp spill over into nerfing the crap out of it in pve, it won’t even be worth the character slot.
  3. Please show legendary weapons in the pvp equipment screen. It’s really annoying having to equip the weapon to a pve build to use it in pvp.
  4. Just some thoughts here that I hope you'll consider. Necromancer: Signet of Spite - Consider giving the active something that's more fitting for a power build. The signet is passive power, so why is it all condition based when active? Engineer: While I understand wanting to tune the power of the new Elite spec, I feel like cutting all of its shielding in half is the wrong direction here. If the goal is to make room for other support roles, is there a compromise that can be made here, where the shielding on the player remains the same, or close to it, but the support shielding to allies is reduced to match what you've outlined in these notes? This will accomplish the goal of reducing the GROUP effectiveness, while not demolishing the "solo" capabilities of the class while running around doing open world content and such. As someone who was around for the beta of GW1 and followed you guys into GW2, it's really painful to find a class/build I enjoy playing a lot, and then see it nerfed through the floor to the point I can't even get basic content done. I understand the need for balance, and making adjustments to that end, but you tend to be very heavy handed in this regard and from what I'm seeing here related to Mechanist, this time is no different. This happened with my reaper build, and I actually did quit the game for a while. I came back, tried out Daredevil and found a build that was viable like the reaper, then it too got nerfed to the point I could no longer even 1v1 trash mobs in open world zones, so I took a break again. I came back for this expansion and have been enjoying the Mechanist. Please do not do this to me again. Please consider players like me, who primarily enjoy just running around and participating in open world content, experiencing the story, and exploration. PvE isn't supposed to be a competitive elitist space where I have to worry about min-maxing my build to be able to even survive. You contradict your goals here by making this elite spec practically obsolete when you claim you want them all to be viable. In the end though, I guess all that's left for me is to hope you will reconsider and wait and see. These changes are likely to cripple a class I've come to enjoy. If that does end up being the case, I will likely move on from this game. It seems it's moving in a direction that's trying to leave players like me behind.
  5. I'd highly recommend running the game in DX12 with your rig. Here is the guide herehttps://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/110553/want-to-use-directx-12-dx12-for-gw2-heres-a-guide-on-using-the-d912pxy-on-windows-10 Also with 128gb of ram I'd be running the game from a ram drive ?? This was all super helpful! Thank you! That fixed the issue big time! Now looking at 200~ fps in 4k. The only thing on this list I didn't have was the "High performance" profile, but I had manually gone through and set most of the settings there already that would have affected performance. Thank you for the tip though! I appreciate it. It was good practice to just go through that list and make sure I hadn't missed something.
  6. System Specsi9 - 10900KFNVidia RTX 3090128GB (3000MHZ) RAMM.2 Samsung 970 Evo Plus (x2 Raid0) In some places I run at 100+ fps (read, looking at a wall, home instance, etc). In towns, (even with character models on low) I drop into the low teens. Also some explorable areas this happens with no one else around. I can run Cyberpunk 2077 with Ray Tracing and all settings max, at 4k and still manage a solid 60 fps.. but this game brings my rig to its knees? What gives?
  7. Dye-able backpacks (So we can finally match glider colors) and weapons. Even if you only do legendary weapons to make it one of the perks, that's better than nothing.
  8. I have only one dream through which all my other dreams can be accomplished. This game is a beautiful, wonderful, and entertaining game, yet I have found it lacking in one area. In every other MMO I have played, it was fairly easy to find a guild of like-minded individuals and form bonds and friendships that have lasted years. Yet for some reason I have found this task to be incredibly difficult in GW2. It's not for lack of those guilds being out there, but more that the type of guild I am looking for doesn't often spend their time advertising to potential new recruits in map chat. That said, I would love to join a guild that is focused on building a community and enjoying this game together. I enjoy the social aspect of guilds, forming friendships, and the mutual contribution towards each other's success. Whether that be simply sharing knowledge or actually making the effort to help each other with goals. My personality is fairly laid back and casual, and I enjoy being around other people who don't lose their minds over the little things, or think that failing at something is the worst thing the world. After all, failure is a part of the journey to success. I enjoy helping people out with 'questing', world exploration, dungeons, fractals, raids, story content, achievements, and general progression (like working towards legendaries for example). As for my goals... Short term, I'm working on getting enough Tyrian mastery points to unlock the final mastery tier, and then moving into HoT masteries. Long term goals, I'm hoping to find people to team up with to work towards legendary armor and trinkets/backpiece. Thanks! See you in game.
  9. I'm a little late to the party, but for any of you other late comers, here's some tips.He can actually be quite easy... if you bring some CC for right after he does his leap attack. You'll see his break bar go up and just hit him with one or two CCs and his break bar is down. You never have to deal with the leech. In the event you miss a break bar, double dodge roll through his leech to avoid healing him and taking damage.Hope that helps!
