I wouldnt even mind if core D/P was a viable option but its not. And no these SA changes are NOT GOING TO CHANGE THAT. As of now, if you want to play D/P you have to go for DrD and that just got a massive nerf for no fucking reason at all. I mean it wasn't even the strongest conquest build before the swipe change. All they have accomplished is less build diversity and i have no idea why they went for it. Makes no sense at all. Anet has no clue what they're doing it feels like they're just randomly changing stuff for the sake of changing stuff.

<- thief main Yes it helps with survival but it's primarily a damage ability, often utilised for cleaving or getting a target down. They reduced the cast time. They didn't reduce the damage. Same damage occurs over 3 seconds instead of 4. This is a damage buff. That's what you get in return. There is your tradeoff. I've read that the same way you did, it is an evade nerf but a damage buff.ANerf didn't say anywhere the damage was reduced too, so I guess it's similar to when BF was reduced, meaning the damage you dealt over the course of 4 secs is now done in 3secs.they literally gave a +33% dmg buff to it in pve to compensate so dont get your hopes up that the damage stays the same in pvp

get rid of this skill entirely and never give such dumb downed gameplay to thief again keep that to other classes thank you very much

Re-installed the game after a one year break yesterday. Saw that they gutted D/P thief for whatever reason (just wow) so probably just going back to Lost Ark. gg Arenanet this honestly made me sad deep inside.
