Grolorm.4072's Achievements

  1. You may want to look into getting the short term armistice bastion pass to get them from Penelope. The JP there is far easier. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Penelope_the_Unconquerable#vendor6
  2. Have you been doing the story? You'll get mastery points that way as well. It follows a pretty natural progression if you're following the story, after the oasis you move north to desert highlands.
  3. If you don't mind doing WvW the reward track gives you the boots as well. The only bit of vision that doesn't work for is Jahai, because the story mastery is a requirement for purchasing the item.
  4. You can get an extra 250 out of the kitty warclaw reward track if you're willing to spend the 200g. That would only matter if you don't have time to cap tickets two weeks in a row though.
  5. Unfortunately nobody plays dungeons, and I wanted to earn some set pieces. The WvW reward tracks are also an option for the sets if you can't find dungeon groups. I ended up doing that for the currency to get the monk runes when groups started to become scarce.
  6. When I was just starting out after hitting 80 on my first character I was clearing the pagga elder wood farm in malchor's leap every so often in addition to the daily achievements. It's not a huge amount, but it gets you a bit closer to that next piece of gear or bigger bags.
  7. I went with bloodstone fen(second ring), lake doric(amulet), and emberbay(second accessory) on my first few characters. They all have a gathering cap on nodes that's account shared, but doric and emberbay hearts can be done with each character each reset. Getting trinkets from multiple sources will be the quickest method because of the caps. The portal scrolls/tome will help out a lot if you have alts and don't want to run each through the first story bit as well. I would save the volatile magic since unbound magic is easier to get because of winterberry not having an account gathering cap.
  8. Was kind of hoping the Armistice Bastion pass would return in time for the WvW/PvP patch.
  9. I think one of the frustrating bits is being forced to get the first three pieces of the other set after 9k AP. You need to gather 11k more before you start getting the set you actually want again. A lot of folks seem to get miffed about AP as a grind in that window because the daily cap stops passive AP gain and the goal seems a long way off.
  10. The commemorative sprockets from the memory boxes can be traded in for the fractal bits to infuse rings and back pieces if someone isn't interested in grinding fractals. Not sure how many people know about that. I converted some of my gold stash to gems for them. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Black_Lion_Commemorative_Sprocket
  11. Sorry, was typing out something about saving gold for the griffon and left part of it in. ^.^
  12. Thanks, I won't think about ascended equipment for now. Then I have another question, is the story in the living world any good? How is it compared to the main story? I could buy 400 more gems and purchase Season 3 and 4 or wait for a sale, if there are any for living world. The story is amazing for LW3 and 4. They upped their storytelling game quite a bit. Season 4 gives access to a few new mounts too. Griffon, Skyscale, Warclaw, and Beetle. You should be fine without season 2 for core mastery points., there are more than enough to get everything without it. Season 2 is more about learning history bits, it all occurs in silverwastes and dry top. (zones that are open world.) I ended up buying it last, and don't regret it, but the other seasons are better.
