  1. nature magic has no place in a soulbeast build. we don’t want more ppl running around with perma boons and weakness spamming passives. you can argue it has a place for druid and core, but it does not fit with the soubeast theme. literally bonding with your pet so that you both merge into one entity isn't considered "nature magic"? lol
  2. i know just checking hows axe/dag and axe/torch build more dps? slight more diffuclt rotation? the build is actually dagger/torch and axe/dagger but yes, it does more dps for a slightly more difficult rotationhttps://snowcrows.com/raids/builds/ranger/soulbeast/condition/
  3. I mean as it is now nature magic is probably the least taken trait line for the entire class for every game mode, this would make the line much more appealing for solo builds and pvp/wvw.
  4. All other traits and skills that add something to the pet add it to the ranger while in beast mode, and this trait should to. Currently it does absolutely nothing at all for a merged soulbeast which basically means you're completely missing a minor trait.
  5. this build has literally the simplest rotation in the game already
  6. If you're playing a duelist, being able to hold a 1v2 long enough for your team to get a lead somewhere else or for you to get +1ed is part of the job description. You aren't playing the role properly if you can't/aren't prepared for it. In fact, since you're asking what your objectives should be, pushing outnumbered fights and holding them is one of the main things a duelist does. That doesn't mean mindlessly hold down your movement key into a lost teamfight with 3 of your team already in the downstate, only to die yourself seconds later. It takes experience knowing what you can and can't get away with to buy your team time. In most cases, dying at all, regardless if you were 1v2, 1v3, or even 1v4 is the absolute worst thing you can do, unless you held them for a SIGNIFICANT amount of time to where your team was able to create a massive lead. In that case however you would wonder why they never came to rotate into you and create a winning fight with numbers. Your primary objective is to not die. Regardless of what you are 1v1ing or how many players you are holding. If you're in a losing 1v1, just leave it before it gets too bad and rotate somewhere else. Take note next time not to push a 1v1 with that player/spec. If you're holding a 1v2, and you know you're going to die soon, try to get out before it would be too late or if you know there is absolutely no escape die on the node so the enemy is forced to stomp you instead of let you bleed out in downstate. Having good map awareness is crucial to being able to survive a +1. For example, you pushed far and you see that your team lost mid while they were outnumbered before your home cap could get there. You know that there are likely going to be 1 or more enemies pushing into you pretty soon, so you can get yourself in a good position before they get there so you can survive and kite for even longer. This makes it much harder to die and gives your team a chance to make a comeback. As for other objectives, you need to use your map to know where to go next. Usually I prefer to push far right out the gate, because I know I can win the 1v1 relatively quickly. Worst case my team will be 3v4 mid until our home cap is able to get to mid, or the enemy will have their own far pusher and we have a 1v1 on each side node and a 3v3 on mid. If my team loses mid I know I can hold an outnumbered fight for quite awhile in order for them to come back and snowball other areas of the map together, while the enemy is focused on me. It's also worth mentioning the way you play when outnumbered changes completely. You can almost completely disregard the node, your new objective is to just waste the most amount of time possible while you have more than one enemy with you. If you do a good enough job a lot of the time one of them will even rotate out because they know even if they can kill you eventually, it's going to waste so much time their team is going to be behind because of it. This is good because it gives you another 1v1 you can win and make more decisions from there. Learning kite spots on each map and node is helpful when playing this way as they will help you live significantly longer. Most duelists can't hold an outnumbered fight standing strictly on node, just using their block and evade skills until eventually they die. Hell a lot of duelists can't even hold 1v1s fighting strictly on node. That doesn't mean they are bad duelists either. Leaving node is perfectly okay if it means you win the fight, or you waste multiple enemies time while outnumbered.
  7. Maybe try to copy some tactics , from this guy if you loose most of your 1v1 ?There is room for improvementshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gE3AS-kx9w wvw lmao
  8. Or properly interpreted by people who understand statistics and want the power of information. It would be very insightful and help paint a better picture of the current state of PVP. Plus we could see if any of the changes the ANET PVP Balance Team made created any changes in the actual performance of the game. or you could just play the game and see that much more directly
  9. longbow/GS core ranger is the viable bunker/dueling build. You can try axe/axe instead of longbow but GS is a must
  10. This thread should be...It would be nice to hop into unranked to play new builds but...Every single unranked match is just dumpster tier bronze players vs dumpster tier bronze players so it's impossible to actually practice anything.
  11. I've been playing Gw2 since 2014, and for the past 3 years or so it's been almost entirely solo. I miss having friends to jump into discord with every night and hang out. In real life, I'm a 22 year old college student in my senior year of college pursuing a marketing degree. I am playing on the NA servers, specifically on Dragonbrand, but that doesn't matter much for anything except WvW, and I'm open to transferring for the right fit. I would consider myself a hardcore player that plays casually. Most of what I do ingame is PvP, and I've been in the top 100-250 the past several seasons, as well as legendary division in Seasons 1 2 & 3. Sometimes I WvW, but mostly solo with a few havoc squad things. Probably 80% of my gametime however is in Heart of the Mists. I've done PVE before and it's pretty fun, but I've never had the opportunity to run week to week with an experienced group so I lose interest quickly. I've done most of the raids multiple times, fractal CMs, etc. In WoW I was really into selling M+ runs with all my friends. I would love to find something like that again here where we all just hang out in discord every day and do content together. Thank you for reading this and hopefully I hear from you soon.
  12. If you think you need to use zerk amulet to do damage on ranger, you're playing ranger wrong. Pets don't scale with your stats either btw
  13. Anything that involves more than walking straight to your opponent and pressing 1 until either one of you dies makes you a coward
  14. Its totally impossible to play game as ranger when there is 100000 skills that do damage in every match. Im running double bow build long/short so all i got is ranged damage and how im supposed to kill people if their skills just do more damage than mine. when they hide behind higher damage like kitten cowards? When i started play pvp it was supposed to be fighting vs other ppl and not that cowarly running around pressing skills like kitten chicken. Can you remove those damaging skills for weak kids?.
