Last night I went over an entire stack of candy corn while in WvW and only got like 30m worth of XP boost and 15m of Karma/Magic Find (forgot which one was it).I get that this must have been a once-in-a-blue-moon thing, but due to the rng nature of the gobbler, it can happen.

Thank you all for your answers! I did not expect such a high claim window, I was thinking it would be available for a week or so.

Unless I've missed it, neither the release page nor the patch notes mention the claim window for the new episode.I don't have access to my PC right now so I'm wondering how long will the episode be free on the gem store?
