  1. similar here... "We were unsuccessful in restoring the character back to the account. We are currently experiencing an issue with our character restoration tool. Please contact us at a later date to attempt to restore the character again." so tool is either down, or having issues... or they just playing ping-pong game to respond quickly and close the case instead of do actual job... or maybe they doesn't want to bother before anniversary... doesn't seems too professional ;(
  2. still can not log in to the game, but API seems to be working again, so you can use sites like gw2efficiency, and on the first look seems like progress was restored...
  3. nice update ;)and the update is... "no update", but we will keep you updated even when there's no update.
  4. that is called failover, not rollback.and if that's the case, it was failover to outdated database.still can not image automated rollback, sorry.
  5. I don't think rollback is something that can be considered for automation,rollback is sort of last resort type of thing, if things goes so wrong that it's not possible to fix stuff easily and quickly.
  6. I'm sure real money transactions can be sorted, tho it's not really priority. Priority is to ensure game is stable.
  7. I guess everyone noticed rollback and we're all still waiting for ArenaNet response. Rollback decision is never easy to make, and if ArenaNet decided to rollback then I'm pretty sure there was a good reasons. It would be really great to know whatever rollback is final, so regardless of trouble caused we can keep playing game without worry that yet another rollback will be performed. We all lost time invested in the game, some sort of re-compensation would be appreciated as well.
