  1. I'm pretty disheartened too. In 18 days my favorite class is going to pretty much turn into a jade AI robot. My queues today for the six games that I played at plat 2 were vs the same 5 people. I haven't seen pvp this barren before an expac. I used to be excited for the new elite specs when HoT and PoF were coming out, but from playing the last couple of beta's nothings caught my attention and I'm pretty depressed about the engi spec. I'll give EoD a shot, but if it's what I'm expecting I'll only be returning to this game for the campaign until the reworks come out years down the road....
  2. Was longbow'd 4 into a wall by a ranger, went for the relog to try and get out of it faster, ended up not being able to rejoin and recieved a 20min dishonor. The stuck command has a duration of 30s + 15s respawn, I find this a bit ludicrous like we're being punished for being stuck in a wall. Please fix the bugs that allow this to occur or find a way to reduce the time on /stuck. 45s out of the game is pretty detrimental in conquest.
  3. Please increase the cooldown on this skill by at least 20 seconds.
  4. I love them as well. I really love the game. I wish there was just a different decision in some of these specs, I really would've enjoyed even just a new kit, they didn't have to try to go all out with AI. I don't believe it's suited for the class.
  5. I really don't find the new engi spec as an addition to the game and I'm seriously let down by it. I know I'm being that guy (based on the title) I'm open to discussion about why, but I'd like to hear what other's would say in defending that it was a healthy addition to the game.
  6. I'm getting no response from hitting the queue button for pvp at all. I don't get an error code or anything like, it just won't let me queue.
  7. I came back to the game with the understanding that this would be balanced and promote actual play, and I'm really not sure about how herald elite or how torment is being scaled right now? I'm just curious! I'm sure all the people playing condi/bunker rev are great players with lots of input!
  8. Things to consider before posting something like this. Is the game still active enough for others to care whether or not I won and is the player worth mentioning that I even beat him? Does winning in this game even lead to rewards or does it just lead to me queueing again and again because I haven't discovered a better game, or a better hobbie to pursue? Will I even remember posting this after it's taken down by mods? Who really cares about what I have to post if it's in regards to GW2 whatsoever?
  9. A couple things kept me coming back, but just don't do the trick anymore, besides LS and that's only to an extent. Got burnt out on PvP. 15,000-20,000 matches of conquest just ruined the game mode for me, as well as seeing my friends leave because of metas, no more ranked queue pushing out a lot of the competitive players, (queue sniping into a five man with your own five man brings back so many memories and you didn't have to wait for AT's to have fun 5v5 team matches). I used to LOVE WvW, that passion died after 2 years when I realized it would always be the same. LS brings me back for a couple of days, I rush through the content and then I don't feel implored to seek out the achievements. I came back to GW1 to farm all the greens in game, and go through the RNG experience. I loved it. Running certain dungeons with the hope that I'd get that rare VS, or BDS. That was an amazing feeling. With GW2 I think they put a lot of beautifully designed weapons into the gemstore. Completely skipping the content or challenge part of getting those weapons, and now you just need an outside currency. I bought a lot of gemstore weapons in hope that it'd support the game, but also fueled the fire for this game becoming mostly microtransactions without the content. I came back to my friends, and now even they have gotten fed up and found the same pessimistic view that I had found.
  10. I'm starting to believe that the initial layoffs this year came from lack of production of content and lack of community growth in GW2. They couldn't produce or profit, so NCsoft felt it was okay to cut a large amount of them to merge with another company (can't remember the name). As much as they want to hype up what we've gotten this year, it really hasn't been engaging and certain modes in this game have been left dormant for almost 7 years (I'm talking about dungeons right here), after the layoffs I'm sure NCsoft has been down A-net's throat asking for them to deliver. I don't believe A-net was ready to accommodate to this, and I think the dev's have probably been running around the office for the last couple of months trying to piece together some content to sell to the consumers, so they don't lose their jobs. These funkopops, yoga pants, etc all feel like desperate cash grabs. In these last 7 years I think they lost dev's that they couldn't afford to lose and we're just now seeing the backlash. One that comes to mind that kept our PvP scene pretty interesting was Grouch, and I'm pretty sure he left after the embarrassing PvP opening of HoT, that was left unfixed for months. I'm not sure if this dev team is lazy, but I don't think they are matching with NCsofts demands. I think NCsoft is at the point and we'll see it after Living Saga Season 5 if they want to revamp the GW2 team entirely, or if they want to put this game on maintenance mode, and start working on a new project. If they go the new project route, I have very little hope that it'll be related to the GW franchise.
  11. It's also nice that we paid 60$+ for that expansion and now it's worth 30$ and you get 2 other games with it. We're so lucky guys!
  12. It's not really a reveal if the company has been talking about what it intends to do the last year. For people in WvW to hear, "we're going to announce later on about WvW restructure", causes an uproar because they've heard that same exact thing since the release of HoT. I don't think anyone is upset that the story is advancing it's more that certain modes that others have found the most entertaining on this game haven't progressed as the story has. This is an odd statement because really when I play the first two years of GW2, it wasn't like getting ascended armor felt all that grindy, and it was facilitated by LS1 and the release of HoT and other things, so from my perspective I've never felt it to be a grindy game, and there are plenty of avenues at getting close to the best armor in game that really are far from grindy, so I'd like to hear more about that. Unlock grinds is what drove a lot of people to playing GW1. If everything is easily accessible through the gemstore, where is the merit? The value of items in an MMO should come from the work that was given to get those items, and not an outside currency. A lot of the items in the gemstore were just sold, with no content built around them. Which also leads to everything feeling so stale. When items like Chaos Wep Skins are just sold on the gemstore, an entire amount of content is just completely skipped, and you've just spent either real life money or grinded gold to buy them. Imagine if with the release of those weapon skins, challenging content like a raid, or even a dungeon (those are entirely dead now with no consideration for the last 7 years) then those weapon skins wouldn't feel so meaningless to have. It's like, "damn I just earned this, I worked my ass off for it, feelsgoodman, everyone else bow at my greatness" that element of the game has been completely erased and we're stuck on this casual mindset of "take my money, I want it now", which in turn, destroys fucking content, and makes games stale. If I wanted to blow money I'd be at a casino or at a bar.
  13. If they showed the gameplay you'd already know how it panned out, because I'm assuming there isn't that much gameplay.
  14. There wont be a gw3 you are deluding yourself, ncsoft will go mobile with it because thats how they are. And they control what anet can do. You're probably right, but I can dream can't I?
  15. Watch that WvW with Devs segment they have on twitch and it's beyond noticeable that the dev's don't even play this game. The only team working on this game that currently matters are the ones who run the gem store. They should honestly fire every single other person, because at the moment this game is a hot dog stand and instead of selling hot dogs they are selling 'cool skins'.
