  1. Oh haha, I was also one back then. Specter and untamed are kind of somehow giving like a "dark" feeling either. But I'm not really having fun with the initiative mechanic of thief and I dont really know the dps of cele specter. I believe it could be able to get perm quickness with relic of chronomancer, but i dont have full legendary gear so i m not spending Ressources on something i probably wont play, because I know i wouldn't have fun with it.
  2. Yes, I mean its not entirely bad, but it cant keep up with the damage and defensive if we compare it to cele harbinger or cele/power untamed. Imo one of the best open world solo builds are: - Celestial Harbinger with soul reaping (https://youtu.be/524NjjDOQPk?si=Huavu4qgaHkV9Rwg) or Celestial Harbinger with Blood magic for more defense ( https://youtu.be/JPHgKS8pAJU?si=oa6QXMKsqcu3whua ). cReaper also works well (I found scourge to deal the least dps of these 3 e specs tho) - Cele Untamed or cele druid - Power Untamed ( https://youtu.be/Bw9-MBTDTE4?si=f1nBE7IASdFh6mbO ) - Cele Mirage (high cc with daggers but slow ramp up time) - cele weaver and cele Catalyst - Cele Deadeye Of course there are more like Berserker on power of cele, cele holo/scrapper/mechanist or power mechanist. Cele tempest, cele virtuoso, willbender/firebrand, cele vindicator/renegade, cele soulbeast and so on. But personally i found the ones listed above to perform the best if we consider both the dps and defense. Most of the other builds have the same dps and lower defense or the same defense but lower dps. It doesn't mean they dont perform good tho. They do, but perform slightly worse. Maybe some are still comparable to the ones above like cele holo, but cele scrapper for example just has too low dps compared to cele untamed/Harbinger and others. The builds you can find via the youtube links are made myself and have personal preferances built inside. For example i did split mace so i have the axe offhand pull on the mace side while having the jump finishers of mh sword on the other side. These are basically different variants of the same e spec. For example you can play power untamed with mainhand sword for more defense and mobility (and projectile reflect having no influence on you) or mainhand axe for more spread out damage to hit more targets and eliminate adds faster. It also kind of depends which bosses you plan to solo at some point. Cele mirage for example isnt really helpful on bosses with lots of reflects.
  3. Well, what would steath be for without "decent dmg"? Stealthing, then revealing yourself to deal no damage? That would be kind of nonsense. But yes, classes with stealth (mostly the thief specs) are kind of mobile. Steath is used to avoid incoming damage by not being visible. Thief just has additional bonuses like the stealth attack to gain damage out of using stealth. The reason thief is mobile is because its defense isnt really good without it. A thief without stealth would be dead in seconds because most of its defense is tied to stealth (like gaining protection on stealth or reveal or cleansing condis). Removing stealth would kind of fully kill the logic of a thief. Stealing something while everyone notices? So that already would kill the full class logic, but you dont want to only remove it, you want to give no compensation for it? Thieves would go from one of the best roamers in wvw to worst the second your idea would make it ingame. Is stealth sometimes a bit too much? yes, imo perm stealth shouldnt be a thing. I had thieves running away from me to get out of combat to swap to a build they can take on my build with. I still had bleeding and poison on me so i couldnt even out of combat fast enough either while the player i fought simply swapped to a different build while the condis this player inflicted on me avoided that i could get out of combat (yeah that system is kinda kitten too, because if someone inflicts condis on me and i still receive damage from them, the other player shouldnt be able to get out of combat either). And thieves can be annoying too. But please dont try to kill the theme of thief or even the whole class. Because what you are suggesting definitely will do this exact thing.
  4. Please dont single handely contest the jaka itzel waypoint trying to get a new pet
  5. I m not saying it is entirely bad, but certainly worse than untamed, druid, harbinger, scourge and those others cele boonspitter specs with good condi. These just dont need to swap out so much damage for defense because they basically get their defense for free (like 5% condi to hp trait in combination with blight or 3k hp on cc (like every 2 sec) via wilderness survival while still going 25k+ dps and having perm fury, 25 might, perm protection, perm quickness, perm 25 vuln inflict and all that) Warrior isnt bad, but there are just far better or easier options.
  6. I see, yeah i m all in for boon nerfs tho. Because some builds have like 20 boons perm and others like none. Especially in solo pve normally the classes with more boons perform the best while builds without perm everything dont perform so well. Thats why for example warrior isnt something that would be my first choice in solo play.
  7. Yeah the might is the reason i said it would take a hit too. But nerfing fury impacts power builds far more than condi builds, thats basically my point and it wouldnt be fair to give power a harder hit than condi.
  8. As for nerfing might per stack, okay, but why nerfing fury? Its basically a power only boon and would just make that condi is even more stronger than power. I mean with nerfing might and fury u would kinda nerf condi 1 time and power 2 times. In blob fights it probably wouldn't matter, but in roaming it would give power an extra (non-deserved) hit
  9. Yeah I know, tho its kinda dumb its for pvp only. Condi gets to use stuff like trailblazers and for power its like "no toughness for you". Condi is far ahead when it comes to solo play in open world while almost all power builds deal too low damage or have too low defense when it comes to soloing champs or legendaries while for condi its just like go get trailblazers or cele and you good to solo almost everything. Its time for power to get some good stats in PvE imo.
  10. I would like to see 5-6 stat combos. Specifically something like: Power Precision Ferocity Toughness Vitality Concentration or Power Precision Ferocity Toughness Concentration or marauders toughness edition (demolishers of PvP): Power Precision Ferocity Toughness
  11. If it was just the regen and condi cleanse, i would be in for a shorter cooldown, but ressing 5 people is kinda strong and justifies the cooldown. Reducing its cooldown in PvE would be fine because ressing doesnt have such a high value there (maybe from 120 to 90 sec), but in WvW and PvP insta ressing multiple players is a really strong mechanic and shouldnt have a low cooldown, because it changes up the whole fight. Ranger needs better elite skills outside of elite specs, yes. An elite signet or elite trap would give ranger that, but these dont exist. But thats actually the problem with lots of the existing classes. Making existing elite skills too op in specific situations isnt the way tho. Imagine you have a 5v5 and everyone runs a skill that insta resses 5 people on 60 sec cooldown. It would kinda be a never ending fight because this mechanic is just too strong to be on low cooldowns (actually i hate mechanics like that and imo insta-ressing-5-players-mechanics shouldnt even exist in pvp and wvw).
  12. Medium: Ranger: Mainhand (or main- and offhand) pistol or offhand sword (Yes, i know anet doesn't want firearms for rangers, but I would still love to see pistol on ranger). Tho I'd choose a Mainhand over offhand to get new unleashed ambush skills for untamed. Engi: Mainhand and offhand axe (so engi finally gets a proper offhand thats not pistol) with mainhand having the focus on condi and offhand being a hybrid of both power and condi. Light: Mesmer: Hammer or maces (power based with cc and defensive skills like healing, barrier or other stuff. Somewhat like ranger maces). Ele: Longbow or Rifle (without a clunky mechanic tied to it like pistol or hammer have, please, dont make that next time).
  13. Yeah I mean i mostly use it like that because of personal preferance. Mainhand mace just has a mini jump on skill 3 but mainhand sword has 2 big jumps on 2 and 3, so i use offhand axe on mainhand mace to pull enemies because sword doesnt really need it.
  14. Yeah i use sword as well. Does far better than having 2 maces in mainhand imo. Its really fun to use. Especially due to the leaps of sword and having access to the burst of power builds while still being tanky. Its really nice to have a good power open world build for once instead of always cele or trailblazers.
  15. Harbinger doesn't have 100 boon corrupts. It has some, but not that many that they straight up corrupt it away. But you really think they will reduce boons on harb or willbender? Keep dreaming...i mean..at this point i also dont think they will add stab to druid or soulbeast so yeah. Yes you are right, we need less boon spam, i totally agree, but this is clearly not the way that they are going.
