Is celestial the way to go for WVW as a scourge or is another stat selection better?I hear Trailblazer is nice and so is Grieving apparently. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you. It can either be condition or power, I have fun playing all styles.

No. I think GW2 is a great game but it also has a lot of systems in play in regards to skills and UI. It would be taxing on the player to navigate them all. You would have to simplify it and redesign it from the ground up. If you want a good example as to why MMO's can be too overwhelming on a console look at Neverwinter. That game is so overwhelming on console compared to PC.

The more I think about it the more I think we will get a Ritualist with our pets all getting spirit forms. You have to think what Anet can do logistically, so ideas like, swapping places with your pet or totems, or what not may be great ideas but also too much of a burden on their engineering and design team. With spirit animals it's a simple art request. Tell them to take the model for whatever pet and turn it blue and translucent lol. Programming wise the AI is already there (although it's mediocre at best) and you could just have the spirit animal automatically cast a few spells with some spells that are manually cast through the f1 through f3 skills. Disable auto attack on the pet in this form. I think giving the spirit animal five manually cast spells would be a little too powerful. Three would be fine. The pet would hang out at the rangers side like a familiar of sorts. The biggest issue here is that buffs like swiftness, regeneration and protection would be totally wasted on your pet. Maybe the pet transfers buffs to the ranger? In terms of a new weapon I would bank on either 2h Hammer OR Focus. In terms of utility skills they could have wells that summon animals from the spirit realm to do damage, cc, or conditions (whichever design direction they go here is fine as long as we get some sort of ranged AOE utility skills).

Hey, I am a returning player looking for a guild. I enjoy WVW, PvE, and when I played five years ago I enjoyed Fractals and Dungeons too. I wouldn't mind eventually getting into Raiding, but it's no rush and I'd rather have a good time first. I have a level 80 ranger and a level 80 engineer but I enjoy playing the ranger more. Currently working on gearing out Viper stats and Harrier stats (for Druid) (I have Berserker already). Have both PoF and HoT and am mulling over purchasing LW3 and LW4. The time I can play is pretty firm as it's when my son is asleep. Thank you!

We have a support class in Druid, a strong single target power OR condi class in Soulbeast, we need a good AOE dps class that focuses on Nature Magic. New weapon could be focus. Pets could turn into familiars or spirits. They lose their auto-attack but are ethereal and now cast spells depending on the pet. I think losing auto attack would justify maybe 2 spell abilities plus the ability to swap pets.

Hi everyone, The quarantine had me get the urge to revisit old games and GW2 was one of them. I played for one day and was so happy with everything they added that I immediately purchased the HoT/PoF package. Recently I finished the HoT story and am working on the PoF story. My goal is to get a full set of ascended Berserker and a full set of ascended Viper gear for my ranger. I've watched youtube videos, and read some guides on metabattle, but I am still a little lost. Are these things I will eventually understand over time? It seems like there are a lot of moving parts and things to do to simply get one or two pieces. I guess my question is where should I start? What is a good path to take towards full ascended? I do not have living world season 3 or 4, is that something to save up for since metabattle says its really easy to get ascended trinkets and accessories from those maps? Is buying old living world seasons a good idea especially if new stuff comes out that is free and may offer the same rewards? Sorry if any of these questions are noobish! Great to be back. Having a lot of fun.
