  1. Lots of people consuming something doesn't automatically mean it's high quality. This game, like the rest of the genre, uses rewards, gambling, FOMO and various nasty psychological techniques to incentivise bringing people back. It would be better if they used decent content a bit more instead of copy pasting and slightly altering pretty much everything.
  2. The player character who has done years of fighting, commands the planet's armies, saved the planet, brought up an elder dragon, is now an inter dimensional legend is still doing the same quests as the base game. Go find this and that for a low end NPC, follow someone far below your station into a cave to fight an enemy. This is really not immersive however many hours you have in the game.
  3. It would help if the mech was stowed by default when you join a map. People wouldn't bother to have the mech out when using something like a hub or capital then you wouldn't have the mech going over the top of people standing at the bank etc.
  4. I'm sorry, do you have a roster? Do you know how many -people Anet has working there? Do you know how many people they have working there that are working on Guild Wars 2? Do you know how many people were working there on Guild Wars 2 than there were back then? I only ask because when people make statements like this it implies specific knowledge. Unless you actually work there, or have a very good friend working there, I doubt you have that knowledge. It'd be sad if the current content was the result of putting more human resources into the game but there you go.
  5. There isn't a situation where you have layoffs and end up with more people. I'm not making any theories, I don't know why the game updates are getting worse. Is the game putting out content slower than before? Seems like they plan to be putting it out more often to to me, so they can charge more often for lower quality quickly done content.
  6. The problem isn't the release cycle, it's that there is only so many times you can recycle the content of older much better parts of the game.
  7. Game developers these days don't write manuals, instead they rely on players to write wikis or people to do "how to" videos on youtube. A new player can just do one set of weekly challenges on the wizard's vault and have enough gold to buy a set of exotic armour on the trading post, it's easy but only if you know how.
  8. That guy is wrong though, a lot of people do enjoy grind. They probably realised that as well as grind = people coming back to the game more to do tasks repeatedly
  9. For me the weekly bounty achievement was in Vabbi, so it would have been a bit empty for me going to Desolation too.
  10. The story writing is inept, it's no wonder that the OP didn't understand. Some random bit of grey snot appears for five minutes then is killed "shock", there is no such thing as dramatic effect in the story which differs from when they killed multiple main characters of the game in heart of thorns. Haven't seen any such spine in the story since. Heitor is supposed to be a villain demon to kill, yet next to nothing is known about them and the character has only just encountered them. It's why the whole thing is so anti climatic.
  11. It was boring. Same old crap, fight some enemy in the first part and then by the later part they start being our friends. Over and over again. Oh the poor oppressed demons in the demon realm, give me a break. I'm supposed to feel sad at some point because some bit of walking dried grey snot we met a few minutes ago got killed? The fights were meh, even the player character is disappointed in the map. It's not it.
  12. I agree, if it's wanted to make it an actively triggered trait, it would be better to activate it when the heal skill is used.
  13. The idea of strike modes was put forward as something easier for players to get into instanced content and they have also put challenge modes in for the sweaty players, so it's not altogether wrong to point out if a standard mode is a bit too much. It's not the best that they vary so much from strike to strike how difficult they are.
