  1. When WvW beta alliance is announced, you know it's gonna be a kitten show. The queue bugged for me last time, and it bugged again this time. At this point, it's a game of "how am I gonna get bugged this time". Last time I couldn't use the portal, so I had to wait in queue for an hour. Now this time I get logged out to the character selection screen????? That makes absolutely no sense. There are also people said they were sent to other borderlands even though they selected EBG. This beta alliance is full of surprises, and I find it disappointing that they have been doing this for years, yet they still can't fix this kitten.
  2. A BUNCH of people started crashing today. This was an issue before, but it's happening way more often. It isn't on just one server, but it is also happening on other servers. When we were fighting a zerg, a third of that squad crashed, and a bunch of our people crashed too. We don't know the exact cause of it, but it has believed to be either: 2. Related to the commander tag 3. Related to repping guild tags 4. Related to the set up of alliance beta 5. Sieges (specifically guild siege) 6. Some kind of interaction with siege (such as siege hitting other siege or it being built) I'm still trying to experiment on how to replicate the crash, so there are other possible causes too.
  3. Classes should be nerfed by benchtests AND skill level. If someone can do 40k dps with zero effort, and they’re just spamming buttons, then that deserves a nerf. Getting high dps should feel rewarding because of all the effort you put in to practicing your rotation. Imagine if someone worked on a class for months to reach 40k dps then suddenly it gets broken and now everyone can do it. It doesn’t sound fun or unique. Now I do agree with you that balances shouldn’t be based solely on golem benchmarking. Some fights are situational that the golem testing can’t do.
  4. I don't really understand Anet's "big picture". Right now, all I see is the downfall of Guild Wars 2. Not to sound pessimistic, but what made them think they could balance this? Have you forgotten the people you laid off? Not only that, you changed your ways of accepting applications. Weapon mastery does sound cool, but that sounds like a nightmare to balance. Not only only that, there are SEVERAL game modes you will need to balance. I honestly feel like Anet might just ditch WvW and PvP. I just hope the balance patch in PvE becomes decent.

I'm a support vindicator main who has been playing it since EoD launch, and I'd say support vindicator is still pretty decent and viable in WvW squads as long as you know how to manage your energy well. They still do a lot of healing, but they are more on par with druids. The build you posted is good, but instead of going with the Song of Arboreum trait, I would use Angsiyan's Trust since it's more effective in WvW, and you get more endurance.
  6. I haven't overlooked the stability they added to Ventari, and it's a nice addition, but the problem is every Ventari skill consumes a lot of energy plus Energy Expulsion takes 35 energy. Uptime of stability wouldn't be that great because you have to use Energy Expulsion very carefully.
  7. I agree the healing was busted, and it needed to be nerfed several times, but that’s all what support vindicators are used for. Although you can still make the most out of it, there’s really no point since most big zergs won’t take you. Massive healing was unique to support vindicator which made them wanted. In recent zerg fights with arcdps on, your healing is in line with tempest, so there’s no reason to go support vindicator because tempest provides auras, massive condi cleansing, and healing while vindicator can only produce only a bit more healing than tempest.
  8. What are your thoughts on support vindicator as of now? I find it disappointing because ArenaNet has nerfed it 3 times consecutively without adding anything useful to it. Support vindicator was mainly used in wvw zergs because of its massive healing, decent barrier output, and decent condi cleansing. I agree with the fact that ArenaNet needed to nerf the healing, and I’m glad they did. The problem is that after this update, they finally killed support vindicator. They only now do decent healing, kitten barrier output, and kitten condi cleansing. Support vindicator is not needed anymore in zergs because tempest are more useful since they provide just as much healing as support vindicator, and they can do massive condi cleansing while providing auras. In all honesty, support vindicator wouldn’t have been viable without the massive healing. If they did decent healing, they wouldn’t be used because of other classes like druid and tempest. The healing is what made vindicator stand out the most, and ArenaNet has taken the only thing that made them viable. They have never provided useful utility such as alac or quickness, but instead provide useless boons like regeneration and might which any other classes can do. It’s sad to see support vindicator becoming another victim of ArenaNet’s poor balancing of classes. The latest update really killed support vindicator because they increased the upkeep cost from 5 to 7. It was already hard to manage energy, but now you made it almost impossible. Not only do you have to worry about your health draining and getting cleaved with a bunch of damage, but you will also struggle managing your energy resource. What I suggest is changing back the upkeep skill to 5, but add a 3-5 second cooldown for the Alliance Legend’s elite skill. This way people can’t abuse the elite skill by spamming it. That’s the only thing that I would change. In the future, I hope to see support vindicator being able to provide more utility such as more resistance or resolution. I don’t think big priority skills are needed such as quickness or alacrity, but giving them something other than regen and might makes them more useful to the zerg or party. Literally no one would accept a heal vindicator in raids because they don’t provide quickness or alacrity. I’m saying this for both PvE and WvW.
  9. Arenanet nerfed support vindicator 3 times consecutively, and now it’s just become garbage. They made it impossible or very hard to manage the upkeep of the skill Urn of Saint Viktor. Now you not only have to worry about your health, you struggle even more managing your energy. I find this disappointing as they knew that adding 2 dodges to vindicator would make mayhem powerful, but continues to implement it only for it to get nerfed continuously with 0 buffs.
  10. Is there any update with support vindicator? I agree the healing needs to be nerfed, but suddenly adding a 10 second cooldown to the skill Drop the Urn is absurd and unreasonable. Using that skill or even accidentally clicking it will send you to death’s door. You are literally vulnerable within that 10 second timeframe because your health will be draining overtime, and you can be cleaved to death. The 50% damage reduction doesn’t help at all. The cool down should be between 3-5 seconds. That’s a reasonable cooldown because you can’t spam Drop the Urn, but at the same time you won’t be a punching bag with that skill.
  11. I am a support vindicator main who has been playing it for over a year to the point where I had mastered 90% of its skills and traits for it only to become useless now. I agree that the healing needed to be nerfed. It was insane, but nerfing the condi cleansing and barrier is a bit much. Vindicator support is used in WvW zerg fights because of the massive healing and barrier output. Other than that, they’re practically useless. They give no useful boons such as stab (unless you’re playing dwarf), quickness, and alacrity. If you take away the two things they’re good at, what do you get? A useless class that no one wants lol. Vindicator support is garbage in PvE because you don’t provide quickness and alacrity. The only home it had was WvW, but this patch took it away. What I find even more disgusting is suddenly adding a nerf to the Drop the Urn of Saint Viktor. You increased the cooldown from 1 to 10 seconds? That’s literally sending yourself to your grave if you use that skill now. In that 10 second timeframe, you are the most vulnerable person when you activate that elite skill. The damage reduction doesn’t do crap to help you survive with the Urn on. Please change the cooldown to something that’s actually REASONABLE. I would say 3-5 seconds. That’s enough where you can’t abuse the elite skill, but at the same time you won’t get cleaved to death with it on. The healing nerfs were reasonable, but did you had to take away their condi cleansing? They didn’t even do that much. Vindicator support has now become unviable IN ALL GAME MODES.
  12. The ones who used the portal got in while the people who listened to you (including my commander and me) got bugged. Very disappointed, and probably won't listen to another announcement like this again.
  13. Ran again on Monday, it was another game of Who's Gonna Crash Next?. Literally over 8 people crashed more than twice including me. As much as we joke about it, it gets pretty annoying. The guild we went against also had a few people crashed in their squad too.
  14. Around 10+ people from my squad crashed more than 2 times. It became a game of who was gonna crash next, lol.
  15. I agree with that vindicator shouldn't be able to dodge while immobilized, and I'm glad they implemented that, but being interrupted while dodging is unacceptable. That only existed back then because of Vindicator's 1 long evade duration, but it got removed. They need to fix Vindicator getting interrupted while mid-air. Literally no other class can get stunned or cc'd while in the evade frame but Vindicator.
