I get better performance in Star Citizen than I do in guild wars. That's nuts to me considering how much is going in Star Citizen when it comes to big events and how good the graphics are compared to guild wars 2.

I'm not sure where to report this so I will make a forum thread here. In WvW there is a guy who shows up as Tarnished Coast Bronze Footman who was invisible and was fighting quite a few of us at one of the bases. He was invisible so we were unable to take the base until he left and he was able to kill at least me with no way of me targeting him to hit back. The one and only update this games NEEDS right now is performance optimizations. Good lord does the FPS drop in this game. How do I get better FPS in Star Citizen???

The 15th anniversary bosses are out in the world as long as you got the anniversary item in your inventory. If you dont have it you can ask if someone who does have it can go kill the bosses with you so you can get it. Guild Wars 1 also is not really being worked on anymore so we all need to accept it. I REALLY want more content for the game but I have accepted that is probably not going to happen. Its nice the game is still playable though and the new skills were a genuine surprise and a cool one at that!

This would open a huge can of worms where people could easily unlock all the mount skins for free. The free giveaway is a fun way to celebrate 10 years of guild wars 2 and give a little back to the community the helped Anet get this far. Its a mount skin so its not really that little but you get the point. I can join up for getting up in arms and asking Anet to do certain things, balance stuff, do not abandon certain game modes, fix bugs, all that stuff. Making a controversy about getting a free mount skin is not something I am picking up the pitchfork for though

The FAQ is not specific about this. But it looks like the Hall of Monuments is inaccessible to GW2 Steam accounts at all. Can I link my Guild Wars 1 account to my Guild Wars 2 Steam account? No, Guild Wars 1 accounts cannot be linked to a Guild Wars 2 account that was created via Steam. If your Guild Wars 2 account was created via Steam, you will not have the option to link a Guild Wars 1 account within the Account Management page of your ArenaNet account. However, if you have a Guild Wars 1 account that was created via Steam, you will be able to link it to an existing [non-Steam] Guild Wars 2/ArenaNet account that was created via the Guild Wars 2 website. Only an Arenanet Guild Wars 2 account. This is an odd decision in my mind as completionists may not learn about GWAMM or these rewards for a VERY long time.

I never heard of a mesmer placing troll portals. that is hilarious! I always get good portals and have not seen troll portals ever but I would probably laugh if I saw one in the wild.

You are over reacting. This is an action style rpg. Tons of achievements require this same skill. There are huge achievements that require jumping puzzles, combat encounters, pvp, reflexes, and so on. Anet can't adapt every to everyone's low bar, this would remove challenge and make the whole game as boring and easy as the story instances. For any normal gamer the jumping puzzle is challenging but not impossible, I beat it in a few tries and I'm an aging gamer who hates twitch shooters now because I can't keep up with them. If I can do it normal folks can. Even if you have one hand you can bind jump to your mouse and complete it. If you have a disability that bars you from this then there are many other things in this game you are also unabtto do, does anet need to go change all that as well?

I'm excited. I think HOT was better than core and I think POF was better than HOT so if they continue that trend we are in good business here. Sure the icebrood saga didn't go as planned but there are other living world season episodes that did not do well in every season. There are parts of icebrood saga that did very well so we know the capability is there. Will every piece of the expansion nail the landing? of course not that is too high a bar to set. will parts of it be awesome? of course, there is no way the entire thing fails. Where on the spectrum will it fall? no idea but I am naturally optimistic about basically everything in life so I think they will do a pretty good job here.

They gotta make money somehow. Also you can get free gems from some of the achievement chests. I would say stick with gold > gems exchange. If you get a big drop then sell it and covert to gems. Boom gem drop

If you define winning as getting more money then yes. More bag slots, more bank slots, infinite gathering tools with buffs, warps to exclusive areas that make crafting more convenient, max level boosts, instant access to merchants/black lion merchant from anywhere, instant repair from anywhere (this one is really stretching, who even uses this? maybe raiders?) and so on. Granted you can get all of this without paying money by converting gold to gems then using those gems to buy these items but if I throw my credit card at the gem store and do the same thing as someone who didn't and we both do the same stuff for the same amount of time then yes I have more gold. In PVP this really doesn't do anything since everyone is equalized and you don't get an advantage no matter how much money you throw at the computer screen. At the end of the day though it really doesn't matter. Sure another player has more money than me but I play casually, don't buy any of these items and I probably still have plenty of gold. Even then, open world PVE is largely cooperative so are you even winning if you have an advantage over other players in gold farm? You are not exactly winning. If convenience the player is considered winning then sure this is pay to win, but what are you winning at? Inventory management?

This game is terribly optimized and I believe focus should be moved to fixing this. I get more stable and higher frame rates playing star citizen right now than I do playing guild wars 2. I really like this game but the performance is really bad most of the time unless I am in instanced content. Intel i7 5930k, nvidia gtx 1080, 48gb memory, samsung evo 960 ssd, 1080p resolution My CPU is a little old now but when I'm getting 60+ FPS in basically every other game I play and guild wars 2 runs between 20 and 40 fps its quite apparent where the issue is. Even when playing games in VR I am getting a much more smooth experience with far greater detail. I also play BDO so I do play another MMO and that game does not have the same performance issues unless I am fighting a world boss and in that case there are far more players on screen that what guild wars 2 has at far greater detail. It is painful as guild wars 2 is one of my favorite games but man this performance... it can get frustrating
