Well the fact that Virtu has the ability to sustain outnumbered a large amount of time and bind 1-3 players for a node is annoying ( if people are stupid enough to outnumber a virtu...cuz he can´t hold the node with the invuls anyway). The next fact is u can actually kill classes like ele (or other nodeholders, beside warrior) if they don´t watch out for confusion,...spamming skill into 10+ stacks of confusion isnt smart. But overall the playstyle of virtu is kinda toxic...and i abuse it myself (even now with mimic to double blink or blade renewal). On the other hand...what do we have left to play...a chrono spamming wells kitten build (boring) and a one shot chrono build (dead to 1 condi hits u). And tbf, if a decent thief +1 vs you...ur pretty much dead

Imo Chrono is the better choice for Power, but ofc thats a personal / playstyle choice. I switched Midnight for Mimic, because of the chrashes it caused (maybe?!) and fell in love with it. I dont want to miss the choice of double blade renewal (survival) or double blink for fast movement (combined with sword leap and Staff 2). Saved me a lot and imo the best utility skills we have on Virtu atm. Not a lot enemys expect Mimic ^^

First of all i never said i am good. I wanted to share a build with other Mesmers that i have decent success with. Mesmer is my Main, i started playing GW2 PvP again after a break, on a new build...so ofc it´s not elite gameplay (btw i never played higher then P2). Whatever I played some more Games with this Build (minor tweaks included), got flamed for beeing op and cheesy and for beeing a silver player...depends on player and match. I´ll stick to it. Hi, I had a break from GW2 and i came back to try Virtu after the Patch... so I made a Build, had fun and want to share it. I dont have the time and skill to test it at higher Level. I played around 1500 Rating yesterday. So i came back after a couple of weeks to play some gw2 pvp just to find out the new way of cheating is disappearing from the map, but still stay in the match so the other team loses by timer... great. Flying, speedhacking and now start a match just to disappear if u go downstate and then wait for the timer to kill my enemys. And i dont think it was bugged. He did it 3 times in a row...

well after 30 games, top 20 and 1727 points (EU), i would say the build is fine. Never placed higher then low P2 before. So the build carrys or i´m just lucky af. Playing prime EU and all soloQ. Cheers

Thanks Leonidrex. But i'll stick to the build i posted. Like i said, its not the best build for everyone, but good enough to take me into Top100 (Platin2) today. Ofc its possible I just got carried by MM the last 50-60 Matches :). Just curios, did u tried it or are you just theorycraft?Btw im dealing some dmg, I play it as a Sidenoder and won vs most classes. It only lacks If my enemy gets +1 by Thief.... Like in the good old days. Cheers
