  1. For me it's more a matter of the festival weeklies not being consistent with each other. Halloween and the festival b4 doing the dailies barely gave you any points and it's just because of what the dailies were. Like for Halloween carve 5 pumpkins 0 points, kill 3 champs 0 points open 10 ToT 0 points. Where if the dailies actually gave you 5 points each, or 15 for the completionist one then no problem. I suspect for wintersday we will have similar issue as our dailies are gonna be 3 champs, snowball hit each other, donate to hobotron, with only the jp and ring the bell (snowball mayhem if u enjoy it) will give us the points. Where when you look at Sab and dragon bash most of those dailies had you doing something that counted towards the weekly. So if they tweaked that then sure you'll have to grind still specially to 200 points but would be less so. But its anet the only thing they're consistent in is not being consistent lol
  2. this story/map is supposed to be similar to how drytop/silverwasters/bjora/drizzle was released. So you'll get more story once the next story patch comes out, maybe more map too. It's basically how some of the living world stories and icebrood saga content came out. So expect 3-4months b4 next story, but....since storywise did feel short like living world season 2, it could even be 2months time for next one. Basically just be paitient for next content.Enjoy new map and meta in meantime and whatever else you do in game lol.
  3. It works in rest of tyria, but what i meant by across different maps, is placing it in eod map for example, then going to teq and using your waypoint to get back to eod
  4. It would get alot more uses if we could use it across different maps, specially with a 10minute recharge on it. Or at least change it's cooldown to work when you cast it, not use it, which probably isnt doable cuz of coding. I also would like to suggest the cooldown to be set globally across all your characters. I mean if you set it to J to use it, that is set globally to all characters so it only makes sense the cooldown should be as well. Could change it's casting time to 1sec since it's just a QoL thing but even with the recharge or only just in 1 map use still don't see it getting used as much as it should be. It was the only mastery in EoD i was excited to get because of how the skill description reads. But it was just a huge disappointment when i did finally get it, I'm sure there are other tweaks they could make to it of course, just as it is it's just a wasteful mastery. Only time i've used it was for the dragon's end meta lol
  5. Yeah, it's still once a day, unless another person comes to start it.. Makes it very annoying to unlock the elite specs on all your toons......
  6. I'm currently on "dc" 4 for that final cutscene lol. It is one thing i have never understood with anet. They added a reconnect feature back in gw1 but in gw2 we only get that option for dungeons, fractals etc. BUT never do we get it for story, which is why players HATE doing story. Wasting our time over and over for story bugs/dc's. Yes the checkpoints have helped since they got added but it's not a real solution. And right now as OP has said, why can we not skip these cutscenes. Yes they're nice to see but they would help fix a lot of the issues. Heck even add in a checkpoint for AFTER the cutscene, so at least when we "dc" which we know isnt a real DC but a bug in the program, even that would make players a lot happier. Anyways time for attempt 5......and waste more time trying to finish this stupid story step........
  7. What worked for me, was when i replayed the chapter was doing the story from the start, so the fort salma part and the following green bits. Then when you finish caithe's reconnance the NPC you talk to after it to actually finish it will be there. And once you talk to him you get credit for it. . So wether you use a new character to do that chapter or just replay it, you must do all the story bits as if it was your first time, to get it to work.
  8. To be honest it just sounds like we will be saving our build codes in notepad then importing that build when we wanna use it thus never needing to buy more slots or account slots. But wont know til it comes out
  9. Since your taking forever to figure out how to make alliance work, and our understanding is there would no longer be world transfers for wvw. Why not just give us free world transfers now with limitations so players are not jumping from server to server every other day. Since this is where we are heading to eventually from the players understanding how the alliance system is supposed to work. Allowing free ones now in my opinion would help you understand how to make the keeping the alliance players together with their guilds. Thus allowing you to create the alliance faster then your current pace and make adjustments to it. And by giving free transfers now, no one is gonna feel ripped off that they just paid last month and now it's free. Like if you said After Wintersday world transfers would be free. Then players would know not to spend to transfer and just wait for it, thus giving you less headache with complaints of i just transferred now refund me. I only seeing giving us free world transfers now, would help wvw and help the development of your alliance system. Since it will allow you to see the problems of bandwagon jumping and help you curve that. So for me right now I'd be fine if you allowed free transfers only during the middle part of the Linking. So say the middle two weeks of the link, thus allowing time for things to settle in before the next link. It's not like adding free transfers now would create more spying on servers or anything, as players can just make alt accounts for that. And from talking to my one friend that does wvw everyday and continues to jump servers with his wvw guild. ANd has still played it since launch back in 2012. That even he agrees that it would help wvw more, and already knows there is alot of spying now with players having alt accounts. So you wouldnt be adding to it with free transfers. ANd it would also be a good way to get pve'ers doing it more since they could freely go to their friends or to a wvw guilds server without no extra cost just to try to get more out of the game.
  10. It's not just you OP. Its everywhere. The cards haven't been sold in Canada for years now and our money is about the same as yours. Would it be nice for them to set a fix amount in all currencies of course. But it's just not practical because of the exchange rate constantly changing. Like back in the mid 2000,s our dollar was on par with theirs so magazines and books got sold to us at the USD instead of the listed higher Canadian price since are dollar was 1:1 ratio, now ours is back up so we are back to paying that higher price, since it's part of economics. Its the same with those gem cards
  11. ok, maybe that's what happened then. I remember them saying TP was loading slow so they closed it out but then it said sold successful. They're an aussie player and we all know they have higher ping then the rest of us NA players. Still shouldn't be able to sell though without the listing going up. I know i told them to speak to higher up with their ticket because what if the item was something worth 1k-2k gold and this type of bug happened. Would make players quit with how unhelpful they seem to be at times.
  12. So my friend recently sold on the tp 44 dragon coffers, they didn't press any number keys and they sold for 2 copper each. They know how to sell on the TP. They should have been sold for the lowest order price which as we all know is a whole lot higher. So my friend put in a ticket, the response was that they listed them for 2 copper so there is nothing ANET can do about it.However if you go and test it. I used candy corn, i sold 44 candy corn i put in for 2 copper, and they system defaults to the highest order price. I even clicked the sell while it was still reading 2 copper and it wouldn't budge off the highest order price so i got 16 silver back after fees. So how the heck does my friends dragon coffers still sell for 2 copper each when the system prevents that? So whose fault is it? From my testing it's ANET's fault and they should be doing something about it. But instead they'd rather play the blame game and say it's your fault for listing for 2 copper. Afterall if the system won't allow you to sell an item lower then the highest order price doesn't seem fair to make someone lose out on gold.
  13. I feel it wont be unlimited, they will most likely give us the same drops that we get from the world boss bonus chest just with slightly different lot table. Like I can see the gemstone being a rare drop in it. So there will still be more but not enough to tank their price below 85s-1g
  14. Same just got it now too. Was fighting for 15-20minutes get to the updraft part, scramble to get to the closest one which was the one in front and get rocketed right out of the instance. And you can't even put in a bug report inside the game for story instance or at least I couldn't find it lol Still it just makes you kittenly mad and frustrated when this is many years old now and still not fixed
  15. Story instance The Crystal Blooms the cutscene is causing my friends pc to freeze completely to where she has to hit the reset button. We have tried it twice now and same result both times. Ill get her to try solo before she goes to bed to see if that works but i doubt it. Just an update my friend did solo it and the cutscene didnt freeze the pc this time. So if you are freezing with ppl try it solo it might work
