  1. The problem I have with the new Brutal shot is the fact you need to have an enemy targeted in order to fire. If you play free-aim like me (I hate auto targeting systems as I find them clunky and annoying to use when wanting to quickly swap targets), then you only ever do the roll. I did also prefer the old version where the shot was before the roll without a long charge-up time. Felt more elegant and the new one having to charge up after the shot feels clunky and seems like it defeats the point of the roll. As soon as you've made space with the roll, you lose that space again due to the charge time.
  2. Has it been long enough to start asking for a modest Charr themed Roller Cycle again? 😅 Also parafoil parachute glider skin please. ^w^
  3. class-wise I picked rifle-warrior from the get-go because I don't like using magic or goofy pseudo-technology and I like firearms. in addition to this, of the classes that can use use rifles; warrior has better drills than the engineer (shouldering the rifle and taking aimed shots instead of hip-firing) and without magic-y hoo-haa like the deadeye (as much as am jealous of the fact that deadeye can take a knee). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Warrior rifle may not be super-ultra-metatastic, but for me it's fun, and that's why I'm here; to have fun, and immerse myself is a rich fantasy world. As for my choice of species; the Charr are very much up my alley because or their militaristic culture and they are (as much as they hate to admit it) fluffy pretty kitties. I additionally like their racial skills, such as hidden pistol, landmines, and artillery support. Suits me very well.
  4. I do fear that this reason is the reason why Anet hasn't introduced the Rollercycle skin yet, but I feel if that is the reason, then Anet's logic is very very flawed, because there's definitely no valid lore reason not to do so (Since a lot of mount skins are not really lore friendly to begin with), and differentiation is definitely not a valid reason (since there's such a massive amount of over the top skins, such as floating rock constructs, the jackal being made out of sand, and pretty much all the premium skins being soo different from their base skins), and difficulty definitely isn't a valid reason, as a lot of the premium skins have their own unique animations and even unique skeletons/rigs. Another thing to mention is that Anet has previously introduced weapon skins that are not the base weapon type in appearance, for example the scythe staff skin, the spanner mace skin, the blowtorch torch skin, and the list goes on...so I do think if Anet has any sense, both from a financial standpoint, and a design standpoint they will see that the Rollercycle is a logical and viable skin option, that would b well received, as activity on the forums has proved the demand for it.Here's to hoping. The closest thing to the parachute soo far has been the Breath Of the Wild inspired 'para-glider', which uses the right animations for a parafoil parachute, so hopefully Anet can make that one at some point.
  5. Cheers. X3 I have admittedly used some artistic licence to make him look a bit more appealing than the in-game model. Glad he's still recognisable though. I agree 100% that the lighting on the left side upper arm and right glove are wrong. I had intended to adjust the lighting on the upper arm but forgot. Completely missed the glove though. I definitely need to pay more attention to lighting in my future images, and I need to write more notes so I don't forget important things. Cheers. I think the reason why the details are better than the basics may be because I used to draw firearms a lot when I was younger. The mechanics of firearms have always fascinated me, so I have more experience depicting mechanical entities than anything else. I've painted a firearm in a similar style to this before for the Design A Weapon Contest, so that definitely helped. I guess I've also had more of an eye for the little details as well. One of my favourite things to do in video games is to explore the maps and environments looking for all the small details. When I used to play Gmod my favourite maps were the ones that crammed as much detail in as possible. Thanks for leaving this comment. It really helps a lot. =) Charr forever! =3
  6. Warrior Pistol! Then I can be Charr SF bro. Would be cool if it was a multi-target weapon, where each unique target you shoot gives you a quickness boost, so the more people you hit, the faster you hit them. For each target killed you loose one stack of quickness, so it's really good a melting one target when you're severely outnumbered, but not that effective when there's even odds.
  7. Cheers.Body type he's based on is the thinnest, and because he is turning his chest to our right it looks thinner than it would if he was fully facing the camera. I'll keep an eye on that for future pieces just in case though. Might be that I'm exaggerating the turn too much.Glad you like the hairs; it took me a couple of attempts to settle on a style I was happy with. In the end I settled on trying to replicate my older acrylic paintings.
  8. Chimie Pepin of the Adamant Guard External Intelligence.Constructive criticism welcome. Done in Photoshop.
  9. I'm confused. Alastia Crow is wearing the tribal armour set, not an outfit.
  10. Thanks. =) I do think with the rate at which Anet is able to churn out mount skins, that a selection of racial mounts is certainly reasonable, but what gets made seems to be partly dependant on what the modellers want to make. These are more meant to serve as inspirations as opposed to full suggestions, so I'm sure if and when racial mount skins make it into the game they will be somewhat better designed than these, especially since I have little experience with designing within the boundaries of the Sylvari aesthetic. I could have a go a Sylvari cape at some point, as I can't imagine it would be anywhere near as difficult as designing mount skins. Thanks. =) I think I personally wouldn't want to see my specific designs, as they are all one design pass. Generally speaking designs like this should go though multiple passes before finalisation, and as a result will be much more refined. Considering this is the first time I've ever done Sylvari themed stuff; there's room for improvement there too. Pretty happy with the Pond Jackal though. I think it's reasonable to expect that all sylvari mounts would have bio-luminescence. B)
  11. Cool. Makes sense. Well, since there's still demand for a Charr mechanical Beetle skin(and has been for 2 years ). A reminder for Anet (and to show anyone whom hasn't seen it already):The Charr Roller Cycle V.2 :
  12. Is it worth me posting my design again or is it spam at this point?
  13. I socialise a lot in game, and have had a great many conversations over the last couple of months. Haven't been on GW2 a lot this month because I've been playing Forza Horizon 4 though. =)
