  1. Does anyone know how this build works with Elementalist/Baelfire runes ? I see Lord Hizen uses the Baelfire version saying it reaches 120% burn duration but I thought burn was capped at 100% ?
  2. Hey all, I'm a bit of a noob so I am struggling to decide between which Ele raid build would suit me most. What would you say it's the easiest Ele raid build ? To me it looks like Condi Tempest or Power Weaver. On the Weaver side, I am not sure going Marauder is worth it.
  3. I have heard that in EoD they are looking to replace raids with missions. Does anyone know if: 1) There will be a change to the requirements of the PvE Legendary armor ? 2) If not, will these new missions give Legendary Insights ?
  4. 2 further quick questions: 1) Do you have any suggestions for runes that could work on a Tempest build as well ? Or would that sacrifice too much ? 2) Could you tell, from experience, if Cele/Trailblazer is allowed into raids or do people just outright reject it ? I see that they are required for Legendary armor which is a bummer since raids are not really my thing.

What do you think about this build ( Lord Hizen's ) ? http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PGgAw2lJwmYSsLGJOKPXvbA-zRRYcRBPZkAhgzsAznG-e It looks like it has 10% less DMG reduction than trailblazer but gains a lot of health which makes the trade worth it. Have you experimented with any other builds ? Viper has been a complete dud in my view, the loss of defense compared to the dmg gained is ridiculous.
  8. A bit confused. Protection now says 61% DMG reduction. Wouldn't that mean we got more defense now ? Also, is this not a defense boost for Weaver ?
  9. Just adding my 2 cents here. Playing on a laptop and this would be really helpful.
  10. I'm gonna keep this short cause I am virtually certain it will be ignored. But I can't help but shout my suggestion into the void. Big picture points, fill out the details to your heart's content. - F5 is removed. Every attunement gets the possibility of placing a symbol on the ground ( double tapping similar to Tempest ). This symbol has to be large and a combo field, it's supposed to be a class mechanic not something you can negate with a dodge. Big enough to comfortably not run out of it using any evade skills ( your skills as Ele, not talking about other profession ). - Keep the energy system but place it near your evade bar, similar to the Skyscale flying bar. - Energy and the field's DMG and/or "usefulness" (depending on its mechanic) increases based on "compatible elements" combos. Eg. you place a fire symbol and using earth finishers ( combo ) grants you energy to maintain the field and inflicts burning . Up is now down. Earth skills now burn. Fire skills bleed, water skills shock, air skills heal. The idea here is not to merely invert the DMG conditions but to give you a way to attach them to skills that have a larger hitbox/AOE or some such thing. Eg. same skill being used in 2 different situations returns completely different results. - Using any attunement skill inside a combo field comes with some small but cool animation (eg. using fire dash inside a lightning field gives a lightning trail ). - Traits could be constructed in such a way as to improve build diversity. Eg. transmutation ( for those wishing to tune their symbols for condi swaps as mentioned above ), combo master ( strike DMG increased in compatible attunements fields eg. while inside symbol an earth skill does more strike DMG if also used inside a fire field), battle mage ( interacting with the symbol in some way builds up a healing/whatever team support boon and releases it ). I feel like the above would be a good way to go about it and would also have the awesome benefit of being usable with core weapons. This is just a suggestion folks, treat it as such.

  13. You are right that I am mainly playing PvE. I'm looking for something that can give a bit more DMG than trailblazer; and I am not sure Viper is worth it ( I already have a Viper set and to be fair the difference does not seem to warrant the squishiness ). I also thought that Cele would give a boost to defence ( apparently I'm wrong on that ) and if the DMG difference is not that high I would have made that trade. EDIT: I would also like to use a ranged weapon and in my experience nothing can match dagger or sword on either Tempest or Weaver.
  14. I know this it is weird but could someone please perform a DPS test on the golem ( not looking for perfect rotation, just optimal ) while using Tempest/Weaver with Celestial gear ? I have been thinking to switch my Trailblazer set to a Celestial one but I am not sure how much DMG and defense I will lose. From what I've heard Cele is not worth it on Weaver cause Trailblazer outperforms it. Curious if this is the same for Tempest as I've found the playstyle is a bit more relaxed.
  15. Honestly, I think a lot of people are just not aware of this. They go in thinking there is some general risk/reward "balance" (not sure that is the right word). Because obviously, why would a player think a game developer purposely makes a class achieve the same results with twice the effort, especially in PvE where it doesn't really matter that much.
