Tbh currently the best thing u can do is change class. I like thief and I've played quite some matches in PvP, but lately it was just pain(although I was doing mostly fine), I've decided to change to berserk and it's much more fun, I mean the burst dmg is just far better and I can almost one shot them with berserk burst attack soo the thing is, don't play teef in PvP rn, why bother for low rewards? Thief currently isn't good, playable? Yes. Enough dmg to 1v1/ effective +1? Not so much. Mobility? If your shadowstep is on cooldown u're not hard to catch. So I mean if u like to hurt yourself or u're up for a real challenge sure go for it, but currently u could just swap to another class that's in better shape. I'm not a PvP main nor have I played/tried everything to truly judge so this is based on few of my crappy builds and personal exp.

I was trying to get arcdps to improve and learn rotations on a golem so that I won't just be a burden in raids, but I've tried it also with the mount wheel one and it didn't worked either. Thanks much, it's working in bin64. (Also I messed it up the first time, cause I was putting it in program files(x86) and the gw2 I'm using is in program files so it was probably just me messing up from the start, tyvm)

Hello, the problem I have is that I don't have the addons folder in pc. It's not near the .exe file nor in any other Gw2 folder. I even searched whole pc and got 0 matches. I've tried reinstalling Gw2 but it haven't changed anything. Artificially creating it won't start the addons so I was wondering if anyone encountered something similar.(I'm using Taco sometimes and it works fine, cause it doesn't need to be in the addons folder)

Right also don't play thief in 2v2, it's a bad idea. In 3v3 it's somewhat okay but still there are better choices. In 5v5 however thief is a must.

I mean I was a long time thief(mainly pre PoF cause mobility was sweet before mounts) so I know(should know) a thing or 2. Imo the IA iniative increase isn't gonna change much, signet kinda hurts but it's also not such a big thing. U still have the portal for guaranated unfollowable escape and shadowstep for running, if u use daredevil u can travel ~1350 range units with all of your dodges or deadeye rifle 4 so there's still a lot of movement. IA change was deserved, being able to tp 3x was cancer. When the round started, u cuold be on the enemy point as fast or even faster than the enemy. Also it's not like other classed haven't been nerfed as well, if u're dying just use the portal.

the reason why you cant climb out of trash league is cuz you dont even understand what you are supposed to do, there is a reason why at high ranking team without thief will lose, and people will swap to thief just to not auto lose the game. If enemies afk on a node to stop you from decaping then leave them to it and win X+1 VS X and enjoy free snowball, kill stagger and free win. Guess what, thief dmg isn't that good I mean I can go to the enemy point + try 1v1, but by the time I get back to mid my team will loose badly in most of the games. so I've tried healbreaker and I can just go mid cancer heal everyone to 100 almost insta and enjoy 4 kills = 20 points + enough time to rotate to remaining points. Theif is awesome in pve and decent in WvW tho so I guess u cannot have class good in every mode. My last point is, even tho thief is decent in PvP it can be outperformed in almost every field so it's not really worth, unless u really enjoy it or u're in higher ranks.

Well, as a former Thief I can say that it's pretty bad. I mean even if u for some reason pick SA, many classes can reveal u, like warrior's shout and even if with your mobility u're almost unkillable, what's the point if u Can get killed by one combo or perma fear and just running around isn't much helpful. + In many games I'd encounter not brain-dead opponents who would camp their point so I couldn't even decap and winning 1v1 either took really long or I was obliterated by cc / 2 hits. Since I'm in a trash League I could win most of the 1v1s easily tho, but competent opponents were hard to deal with or I'd just insta die. Stealth isn't Op, it's just annoying and pistol 5 could be useful in teamfights but wait, blind can be insta condi cleaned and even if they wouldn't for some reason, it's not like u can deal solid dmg so 5(blinded)v4 isn't that much of a deal. Anyways tip for thief players: Switching class was pretty relaxing cause all other classes (tried all, currently ele+war player) are in a better state rn. So don't waste your time, enjoy the game.
