  1. Just looking on the wiki and: Up to 20 nodes can be gathered every day. Extra nodes disappear once the daily limit has be reached. Farming 20 nodes gives enough Chunk of Pure Jade to craft 1 Jade Bot Core: Tier 10 and 2 Modules. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Jadeite_Vein
  2. I haven't been out there in a couple weeks but this cap just hit me yesterday. It looks like some jade nodes were removed as there were less and when finished, I joined a different map and nothing. This was yesterday or the day before, I forget. But, when logging in this afternoon and going there, still nothing. What gives? This is stupid! I like to farm while playing and even during the metas. It is just something I always did. Take away that, I go somewhere else. Guess dragons aren't the only thing ending here now is it? You should just remove the fishing too. It serves no purpose in the game other than to make food with fishing power so you can catch more fish. except the disk/dawn ones. That short five minute span to catch a specific fish ranks down there with capping resource nodes.
  3. I think the expansion is not bad overall. My main gripe right now is fishing. I think this is my fourth day in a row going to Ascalon trying to catch those stupid dusk/dawn fish. Spent at least 8 hours per day on this game each day heading to lake fish early to be ready for that whole freaking five minutes and nothing ever! Those are all I have left there to catch the last two days there but been going after them every chance I get for longer. Just decided to stop fishing since no progress can be made. Another annoying thing about fishing is food crafted seems to be for fishing only since even in the ascended fish food, the top stat is fishing power so fishing is so you can make fishing food so you can fish more so you can make more fishing food. Why can't some fish-made items not have fishing power but a different stat for fighting or something, the main point of the game, I think? And while I am whining about my fishing woes, over a bag and a half of the stuff I carry is fishing supplies, mainly bait. Given the times of day for different fish and their preferences, I think some sort of tackle box is in order and not one to replace a bag slot either as you already did that. While I am sure others have issues with all aspects of the expansion, overall it is pretty good and glad I bought the ultimate version. And while there are other things here and there that sort of stink, the rest of the gameplay around those things make most issues more trivial. Now not catching a fish for four days with the right bait, hole, time of day is a progression issue and I really doubt even ANET wants progress to be stagnant for any parts of the game. And long before this epac was even announced, I whined about wanting to fish(among other things) and now I have it and it works well for mechanics. Dusk/dawn crap has to go, honestly. A mere five minutes with the worst RNG is a bad combo.
  4. Op may not have been clear enough but did not intend this to seem like I am speaking of a dead Silverwastes only. Again, over 8 years in this game. Everywhere I went, except overnight, was populated well before PoF. This included level 80 zones and lower level zones as well. HoT brought more 80 zones and PoF brought a lot more level 80 zones plus the addition of the Eye of the North. This could be two-fold where this game is losing players and there are so many 80 zones that we are a bit thinned out. The addition of the mastery system seems more like a necessity for the needs of HoT and PoF, such as adrenalin mushrooms and the like. I would not call them even a cheap substitute for leveling as ones like those mushrooms is HoT specific. I can understand maybe central Tyria 80 zones being light due to the newer zones offer more of everything, including loot. And this is more input than I expected so thanks everyone. There are some great opinions here.
  5. First I would like to state, I have over 8 years in this game that was preceded by 6 years of WoW and I applaud Arena Net for the many features implemented on day one that eliminated problems that bothered many WoW players, such as instanced nodes so we can all chop that tree, kept the PVP in it's own arena so PVE players need not worry about accidentally tagging a player who stands over a node, flagged as hostile with the hopes you make one mistake, and the far better loot system, just to name a few. Furthermore, if I mistype or have state something in error, it is not intentional and please be politely correct me and move on. I really want to read your opinions on the topic. And mesmers are the best, ha ha. So to the topic, we have been capped at level 80 since vanilla al the way through two expansions with now a third announced. Looking at the map where some areas are not open, you can see some general names like Woodland Cascades and near is an 80 among the colors. This suggests more level 80 zones are coming and Arena Net still has no plans to level players any higher. At a glance, it looks like we have somewhere around 25 level 80 zones already open. Before PoF and all the level 80 zones that came with and after, I never had a problem in any 80 zone finding large groups of players to join for some fun. After PoF came out and all the new zones that followed, I believe the herd was thinned too much. For example, with these renewal of some older storylines to replay with new achievements, the current ones lead you back to the Silverwastes. Yesterday, I was there for a few hours in the same map with only a small handful of players that could not manage to hold more than two fortresses at a time and eventually we got to the main assault simply by completing events until the preparation bar was full. Took the mesmer to the center lane where I was one of four players on a Saturday evening/night for us on the east coast of the US. Pre-PoF, I was one of about 12 to 15 in a single lane. And this is like the three hours leading to the daily reset so it should be hopping with players. The only time I see a significant amount of players in any zone nowadays, is if it is featured in the dailies, world bosses, and perhaps some organized guild events. I know the strikes are the new thing for a good many people, My guild hits them almost daily but they do not take long and we are back out of Eye of the North fast. Some stay and farm but not that many. I really see no point in farming exotic gear to simply salvage and nothing ascended there seems any better than what I can make at a crafting station, for the most part. So to my question, are there too many level 80 zones that we are spread out too thin for normal PVE playing? I hop around some of my favorite zones. About half of those are level 80 zones and none have a significant amount of players no matter how long I am there. Are we going to have more level 80 zones with this expansion too and make this problem worse? I welcome all to chime in with their opinions because this is just what I see and I play on a North American server during all hours of the day. Thank you all.
  6. Eternal ice can be turned into S4 currencies (which leads to leather/trophy crates via volatile magic), it's hatched chilis that are the problem. And now the original LW5 design team have left, any plans to make the chilis useful at the end will have left with them. Not to mention that WoW was far worse for QoL and killjoy hotfixes than GW2 ever was...yet they still had cool stuff like Jeeves, the 2-seater bike, the yak with vendors and the flying mecha that can herb while mounted. The trouble here is that the mounts are split into different types with different skills (unlike WoW), so it would be tricky to implement stuff like the engineering mounts with special properties. I forgot about the hatched chilis but I have a couple less stacks of those. The eternal ice is my bigger stockpile. That can be a fun zone, apparently. But still to spend takes karma, gold, or other as well as the eternal ice. An eater might be good for that. You never know what to expect in return from those thingi. And as far as WoW, I played that about 6 years and going on 7 for Guild Wars 2. GW2 is definitely a step up and does not have problems like WoW as far as loot and farming, for example.
  7. Looks like you are missing the point mate. Already have a bunch of the non-permanent ones and they are not constructed but purchased. Not everyone likes to buy things like that. And they take up multiple bag slots unless you make yet more purchase with shared slots like you said. It may not always be the functionality of an item making it desirable but the fun of constructing and owning something like that. I guess similar to why people make or buy legendary gear when ascended gear is much faster to make and easier with the same stats. I have mounts too but a motorcycle would be cool. Instead they made a mini to sell (Mini TT6-B Devourer).
  8. I have over 1700 eternal ice shards and close to 1000 of hatched chilis in the bank and nothing to do with them. Maybe I have no interest in the weapon crafting. Maybe I want to spend them but I do not want to blow through karma, gold, and anything else required by the vendors for any items. The lease ANET can do is make yet another eater like the many for bloodstone dust and the like. Almost 7 years playing this game and it never felt right destroying entire stacks of stuff like this just to gain a space for something else. You folks are too busy trying to sell skins and minis it seems sometimes. I don't go to zones like Bjora Marches or Grothmar anymore. Hey, while I am whining about my storage issues, let's add something else in the mix. I want Jeeves. Most people that came from WoW know Jeeves and I am sure ANET people played WoW too and know it. Selling us salvage things that also cost to use is BS, compared to fun things like Jeeves. And how about a mount one can construct like a motorcycle? Since the Skyscale cannot seem to stay in the air for some reason, how about a copter or something like that? And they should be made from parts anyone can easily obtain. Meaning, not everyone does fractals, dungeons, and raids. Hey, if you are going to pile me up with stuff from the open world, I should be able to craft cool stuff from it.
