I feel like this game is PvE-oriented which is a bit of a shame because there are so many better PvE-only games that it boggles the mind. I still login, but my conviction to do dailies or contribute anything dwindles. Love the story still though, might be one of the best stories for a MMO.

Cos literally nobody plays PvP. It's a graveyard. And it's a graveyard because ANet never touches the mode. I think it's beyond saving with just balance patches, I don't think they could ever get enough people playing again to make it fun.

Oh that's certainly an idea then, I'd definitely weapon swap sometimes as well - and a scepter/focus would be great because of the wayward wand from HoM and the new tea kettle would look lovely on a rit-themed character.

Honestly, can't answer that. But my PS4 gets more mileage these days than my PC does. I find it incredibly tedious to enjoy GW2 beyond the story anymore, balance has just been sucked out of the game.

Are you new? What makes you possibly believe they'd support the competitive scene at this point? Move on, lol.

Solely for story and fashion wars, so it doesn't have to be meta. I just want to use the ritualist outfit and staff. I mostly play guardian (in fact I have 3 of them) so if guardian staff is any good for story I might make another.

Regardless, I'm not the one with such a failed grasp of my own communication that I need to call a failed stratagem a "social test" and evaluate the validity of opinions or critiques based on forum activity. Aw, I got 50/50 and I think it was a blast. If I had to do it again, it'd probably be easier because a lot of people just give away minis these days and the price/effort for everything else has been stable. Some players are even nice enough to give away the cheaper hero armors to new players looking to fill their HoM.

Well yeah. That's why it's usually a graveyard with the same people playing compared to raids and fractals. Except when we want our dailies, ofc. PvP hasn't been good since like 2015 and anyone hoping for change might want to consult their calendars to see how long ago that was.

From context it seems they are referring to the HoM rewards, but that's not exclusive to signing up early and it hasn't gotten any more difficult since EotN released - and arguably has only gotten easier because minis have dropped in price, gold zcoins have risen in price and the 7h update made it much easier to clear content by yourself.
