  1. GW2 is old. Really old. The engine is old, the graphics are old, the community is old and the coding is a mess as a result of being old. Does that mean it's time to move on? Not if you're comparing it to WoW Classic, or OSR. Feel free to point out other successful old MMOs, but the age of this game is NOT subjective. I think we should give it a chance. Even if it's just prettier Guild Wars 2. Let's see what they're cooking.
  2. "We know you won't like this one, so we're not giving you a preview, but we're going to release it anyway"
  3. Wanna know how many people bought something like, say, Pharus? It's the same amount of people who agree with you on this argument.
  4. I'm finding it hard to personally justify pre-ordering this expansion compared to the previous three... It's being called an expansion, but it's not one, it's a seasonal pass where you have to wait months to get the whole package... drip-fed content was a Living World thing, so I'm not going to pay until the expansion's content is fully released.
  5. And don't give the female charr the male outfits please for the love of Aurene
  6. For goodness sake, put Rifle Leap's animation back to the way it was before, it genuinely looks ridiculous now.
  7. I like how Rifle Leap had a really awesome animation and for some reason it now looks like a placeholder animation, like, you may as well just be playing as Sonic because haha rifle leap go speen
  8. I don't really know what to tell you. The only people you accept feedback from are in a discord group with you. Do you trust those people to steer the game in the correct direction? Just take a single look in the forums when you nerf something else about Elementalist. It just confuses everyone, and now we know why you don't respond to that confusion. It makes me wonder if someone in your feedback group is just trying to sabotage things for their own gain, the obtuse changes would make so much more sense from that perspective. Of course it's not a real perspective. I hope.
  9. It is really confusing to me that there weren't any new SAB-themed gemstore items in the store this year, as there have been every year - and even moreso confusing that there's no infinite continue coin, or any of the gliders... did something go wrong here? I know that there's an overly-vocal minority who hate SAB, and will most definitely read this despite that and even reply to it just to state their hatred for it, but... honestly? Who cares about them? If I could wager a guess, I'd say it'd be because the new items were dependent on actually participating in SAB - that I can understand (even though the armor is very deliberately designed to look nothing like SAB). But even then, that still doesn't explain the lack of SAB-themed gemstore items that haven't even been put on sale for the entirety of SAB... so what's going on here exactly?
  10. I love the sheer amount of confused reactions in this, I'm pretty sure I read a title saying that EoD was a flop, then the actual post saying it was a success, and then that being replied to as if the opposite had been said What is going on here? Lmao
  11. I hate to necropost, but I'd be very embarrassed if I nerfed Catalyst, only to then announce "oops now it's underperforming" Can we have a bit more clarity please? Who is making these decisions, and why are they being made if they're not even being tested?
  12. At this point it is a joke - End of Dragons hasn't even been out for a month and Elementalist is being nerfed. Elementalist mains have it rough - it stung when Wash The Pain Away got its first nerf, it stung when Obsidian Flesh stopped you from fighting back, and now we're having our swords taken away and replaced with wet noodles. Let's just nerf Elementalist's ability to breathe oxygen next.
  13. I wouldn't be surprised if the person who wrote this post did the meta in a big guild as a syncronized group. No-one who failed the event as much times as 3 or 4 would say "please don't nerf this" because they would be sick of the same thing happening every time.
  14. It's one thing to fail an event due to people lacking synergy, it's another to fail it over and over and over, and when you finally get a squad with good synergy, it fails because of the servers. It doesn't matter how many times people say "don't stand in the green aoes", all it takes is one person to ruin the entire thing. The only people who could possibly complain is the people who aren't taking others into consideration. You could do it perfectly every single time and still fail because people ignore chat. "Don't nerf the meta" you say, well I'd like for you to experience the same frustration I have. The event is far too long to say "all people need to do is learn", because every single time is a new set of players who don't understand or don't read chat. This meta's success is, unintentionally, based on how lucky you are to get into a squad that listens. That may not be the intended design, but it is the way things currently are. One person can ruin a whole hour's worth of effort. And you say "don't nerf the meta". You simply have not experienced the frustration others have.
