  1. IMO it feels a lot like a living world chapter more so than an expansion. I'm glad were getting new content, but I kind of wish they would spend that time working on getting all classes/builds more level with one another. The reason I often get burnt out of this game is not lack of things to do, but the fact that I often feel pigeonholed into playing a specific meta build/playstyle that just isn't fun to play. I am really happy there is a legendary armor set from open world content though. At least I don't have to play a meta build to do open world content.

  3. As I mentioned I tried this using GeforceNow which does not let you add addons. So the addons aren't the issue here.
  4. So I noticed today that every time I try to stream the game from my desktop to my mac, it crashes after a short while. I thought that maybe my addons were breaking something, so I uninstalled all of them. Still crashing. Then I tried geforce now (free tier and the 3080 tier). Same crashing issue. Happens on both DX11 and DX9. Anyone else experience this? I noticed it seems to happen if there is a lot happening on screen at one time. Also it was not happening last week. So I suspect something about the patch that added LWS1 chapter 3 is causing the issue. EDIT: It just happened on my desktop as well. Heres the crashlog: This is the crash log I get:
  5. AFK farming is only breaking the TOS if you use a third party program to do so. If you are sitting by your computer spamming your turrets/aoes using features built into the game. You aren't doing anything to break the TOS. Necros/rev using the auto cast function - not a third party utility Engi has to sit and recast turrets every 5 min - not even afk at that point Also I think those numbers are vastly overrated. Maybe if you have 10 accounts running at once. But if your a single player just trying to get karma/volatile magic, its hardly the most profitable way to do it.
  6. Vindicator is mostly mediocre all around. Not bad but not great. why are there no buffs?
  7. It’s ridiculous that this hasn’t been fixed 2 years later. I managed to get it with that help of another player. basically I had them start the instance and I joined them. the abilities that you get as the guest are far more effective at dealing with the bug. the #1 ability is spammable so you can get way more hits. the #3 ability if used at the beginning of each attack phase increases not only the hosts damage, but also the guests. So combined with the rapid fire, it’s super easy to get this achievement. Rather than focusing on any weak spot in particular, I just spammed my 1 ability 10 times on as many as I could. The annoying part of this bug is that you can’t tell if you have broken a weak point or not until after you move onto the next portal. So once he phases, you will start seeing him bleed.
  8. yep this is completely ridiculous. Impossible to complete solo. The first weak point on his head breaks in 1 hit. But then rest don't break at all no matter how many times I hit them.
  9. A lot of MMOs these days that are "free to play" offer a subscription that gives you certain bonuses over the free to play crowd. Elder scrolls online's subscription model is very nice. Where those who subscribe get unlimited material storage, larger banks, more bag space, free access to all DLC (expansions are not included here) and crown store currency every time their subscription renews. I think guild wars 2 should offer something similar. [Suggestion] Premium Membership - every time the subscription renews you should get gems (bonus gem amounts for longer renewal cycles) - all convenience features that you dont have unlocked should be unlocked as long as you are subscribed (bank tabs, bag slots, account wide inventory slots, etc...) - any living world stories you don't have are unlocked as long as the subscription is active What happens to items in inventory slots that are unlocked via the subscription? The inventory slot should become "read only" so to speak. Meaning you can see whats in there, sell whats in there at a vendor, remove the item from the slot, but not activate it or put new items in that slot. This will prevent people from paying for one month, loading up their account wide inventory with stuff, then stopping the subscription. Same goes for material storage/bank tabs.
  10. of all the problems with the new player experience, lack of mounts is not a serious one. id rather they put resources towards an overhaul of the leveling experience. Not only is the 1-80 experience really dated, it also does nothing to prepare you for any form of end game content.
  11. I think with the addition of the siege turtle, we have seen that combat mounts are viable and useful in pve. Maybe we should add some PVE specific effects to the war claw abilities so that it is useful from a combat perspective rather than a transportation perspective.

As someone who does not do fractals, or raids (Not that I don't want to, but I just don't have consistent time to dedicate to a raiding schedule), I actually don't find the dragons end meta all that difficult from a fight perspective. Every time I've actually made it to the fight, the group has been mostly successful. Rather I've found the most difficult part is getting a group together. If you happen to join the big meta train in LFG too late, you are pretty much stuck unable to join the server. For the fight itself, the only major issue I've seen is sometimes soo-won goes into a frenzy and spams her bite attack over and over. That is a huge chunk of time where nobody can DPS. These issues can be fixed in a few ways: address the full map issue fix soo-won's attack RNG Full Map Issue I think the full map problem is the biggest issue. I generally have no issues joining other meta events so long as I get there within 10 min before the event start time. But with dragons end, the event from start to finish takes a very long time. Not only do you have the main event which takes ~45 min, but you also have the prep phase which is required to get the full loot from the main event. As such, meta groups start up much sooner, and the servers fill up much earlier. So unless you have a 2 hours or so to dedicate to this event, you may not get into a public group. Secondly, joining these full servers is a huge pain in the kitten. If you join a public group thats on another server, you should be put into a queue to move to that server, rather than having to spam the "join user in dragons end" button over and over. So how do we fix this problem? We need to encourage more groups, rather than one giant meta train. Maybe give commanders/party leaders a sizeable bonus for a successful meta event completion. That way you will see more groups in LFG rather than just 1. add a queue to join full maps so that you don't have to spam the join button over and over. So if there is still only one group going, it gives you a less annoying method of attempting to get in. in order to make #2 above work, encourage non-participants of meta events to leave full servers (similar to the popup you see when you are in an empty server). Also add an afk timer to move afk players off of full servers so that people can get in. rather than basing the awards on meta prep participation, award keys from meta prep participation. Use the keys to open the chests at the end. This means that if you don't have time to do the full meta, you can still get some keys for participating in the prep to use at a later date. It also encourages groups to form closer to the time of the meta, giving people more time to join before the server is full. Soo-won attack rng So far I've been successful almost every time I've fought soo-won. But there have been a few times where I have had a group that was more than powerful enough to win, but we still lost due to weird behaviour on soo-wons part. Last night for example, she went into a frenzy and started spamming her bite attack over and over. This happened a few times during the fight. As a result this took a massive chunk of DPS uptime away from us and despite having over 52 people we still lost. Our DPS wasn't bad at all. We just couldn't do any DPS because she was constantly doing that attack. This should not happen. Certain boss abilities should have some sort of cooldown preventing them from being spammed like that. The fight was literally impossible to win at this point because we just couldn't do any damage to her.
  13. It would be nice if joining a meta party would queue you to join the server if the server is full. Mashing the join character button over and over is really freaking tedious.
  14. Spear of Arch is pretty bad. The damage it produces is too little for how long it takes to wind up. Maybe add a huge knockback to it so we have at least one skill that can help break defiance bars.
  15. Legendary alliance always swaps back to St. Viktor after dismounting. I am not sure what causes this, as sometimes when I start the game fresh, dismounting does not change my legendary alliance. But after some time, it breaks again
