  1. Desync pulls are as ancient as the game, when you build your game with client sided position forwarding to server you get desyncwars like this.
  2. So much for the big balance patch, guess they really wanna push untamed vs soulbeast a bit more huh.
  3. Regarding ranger, There was a moment when signet of the hunt gave you a frame to deal some ranged dps but alas the balance gods deemed it to strong and made it useless again, when it was pretty niche to begin with ^^ (considering the duration and cd)
  4. No Ds-weeks are awesome, ever since the damage shave downed hp and mechanics didn't really change along with it. Outmanned fights are a lot more enjoyable again like this, and that's a good thing cause balance in wvwvw is never equal, giving the outmanned side a fighting chance by removing players from the field ensures they got a chance at defending vs numbers that otherwise would permares cause there simply is a hard stat-check these days to contest a downed when outmanned.
  5. Seems this week is the first bonus strike mission that is community gated, newer players wont be able to do this one.. So it's good it's optional.
  6. It's a shame this game has no true server sided pvp, but rather client sided position forwarding. Kitten like that wouldn't be a problem anymore then.
  7. They should expend this fix to golem manning aswell, probably more things where changing forms out there that ain't fixed. And yea if you enter-exit water quickly it still bugs.
  8. Maybe let us trade em for Provisoner Tokens or something as a means to go for the legendary treadmill
  9. Just give reflection skills the same treatment as unblockable skills. Ergo give it charges and make em useless like signet of the hunt Kappa

  11. The main problem with pulls is Anet's inability to have them work mechanically consistent. Pulls very often desync pull way past the intended range after someone mobility's off and then there's times aswell where pulls get the line of sight treatment of having no los when there's just flat terrain. Perhaps we should just kill pulls that bypass block/evade to at least minimize the chance of inconsistenty with this mechanic at a little. Or maybe Anet just needs to ''get good'' and code some consistency in this mechanic. (which is probably inpossible in wvwvw with their current client sided position forwarding to server setup, maybe they need to have the client give more position updates to server during mobility skills that overrule the pull if it's out of range)

With retal gone the old signet of the hunt combined with piercing woulda actually allowed ranger to pressure a bit, sadly unblockable is pretty much killed in favour of number safety, i guess perma reflect/damage reduction/banner/siege/mount stomping and stuff like signet of the hunt had to be made useless or nerfed in favour of the numbered passive playstyle, seems easy acces to quick ressing wasn't enough to keep the herd together.
  13. Maybe if Anet decided to design their game fully server sided rather then client sided position forwarding to serve then they wouldn't have had to cut options cause people could abuse em and we actually wouldn't be stuck with desync pvp instead.

Shao is correct this game was never build for consistency just for numbers #desyncwars Gw1 fully server sided pvp respected a players input and position unlike the desync this game offers cause of client sided position/evade frame forwarding to server, low ping indeed at times feels like a liability and actually at times punishes proper position and timing play instead of rewarding it. (least in wvwvw this is often the case don't play spvp to comment on how bad it is there) Building pvp on such foundations will obviously never lead to serious competition poor mode design, balance and terrain bugs aside.If Anet ever does design a Gw3 in the future it better have fully server sided pvp again.

Working as intended seems to be in line with how Anet balances, rather make something useless then keep it playable the less options the easier the balance for them!Besides we can't have people contest the safety of numbers in this game even if they play out of position or already have the favour of numbers and organisation. Ironicly with lead the wind + one wolf pack your signet of the hunt will be gone in a single arrow nowadays so like many other skills before Anet simply killed an option for the players, which sadly is nothing new considering their thought of balance and voices they seem to listen to.
