  1. I've seen other hero points also tell me the same message (You've gained all you can, come back tomorrow). *even on a character that has never done the hero point* (Vet necromancer purist in Kaineng, the Tengu in Arborstone to name a few) Strangely, I've also seen other people start the hero point spawn just fine, and if I participate, I receive credit just fine.
  2. These are still very buggy. For the Lighting the Way map long puzzle, at least two of the mirrors eventually reset when you leave them alone. The lights stop coming altogether at some point, though I'm not sure if this is because a mirror earlier in the chain resets or what. Edit: I was able to complete it by NOT setting a mirror. When I arrived it was already reflecting light correctly, even though it was not set at the correct angle. I did not interact and continued the puzzle, and everything else worked correctly.
  3. The lighting is definitely different. Many maps and areas are much darker. Tangled Depths actually looks foreboding now. The Applied Development Lab is much darker. It's a welcome change for me personally, things pop out with much more detail, and honestly, GW2's environments are far too bright even during the night.
  4. This has always happened to Charr players since day 1, 2012. Probably happened in the beta - I wasn't around then. If it's not a bug that was fixed for charr since launch, why would it be considered a bug for any other race?
  5. Also on the actual topic: I abhor the change. I get that it was meant to cater to those using Photonic Blasting Module, but it really makes the rotation for those that don't use the trait awkward. Engineer feels much more clunky and less mobile, and I have to stand around and cool down rather than bursting straight into photon forge mode - which not only drastically affects my DPS, but also my sustain with Heat Therapy. Guess it's time to re-spec.
  6. The ability for necromancers to preserve their minions after dismounting was temporarily disabled earlier this month. I haven't checked to see if the patch today brought it back.
  7. It's definitely the lynx looking face. My lynx girl has the same gaps on either side of the neck no matter which body type I preview at an aesthetician. Can also confirm that it definitely wasn't always around. I'm just glad she currently uses a look that doesn't show her shoulders and neck, so I at least am not aware of it most of the time.
  8. It's been prone to stalling like this literally since the game launched. But yeah, I've seen the event break here as well. Your best bet Ather is right after a patch, as you'll wind up on a fresh instance after the update.
  9. After you open the portal and finally enter the cave, there's this grinding noise that plays throughout the entire instance. It's incredibly distracting from both the serious moment in the flashback, and the actual fight. It appears to be a sound that is playing on loop without a source entity, as it is continuous and equal in volume no matter where you go in the instance. Adjusting environmental volume mutes it, but it also removes a bunch of environmental cues. I noticed this on a playthrough of S2 a couple years ago with a friend. Everyone I've asked has also noted it. I was hoping this would be fixed now that the episode has been revisited...
  10. You can very much stun alligators with the boomerang. You just have to move your character lower. Which sometimes isn't possible in certain spots. For whatever reason, the alligator's hitbox sits lower than the visual model; if you're able to move lower on the Z axis, you'll be able to hit it. You'll notice the same behavior from the slingshot, since both it and the boomerang travel in a straight line - right over the hitbox and not connecting most of the time. That being said, this is the main reason I've stopped using the boomerang and switched back to the whip.
  11. https://imgur.com/a/UzABL3E (some images) I believe it was the Champions: Balance update that broke the iboga's Crippling Anguish projectile effect, or at least there-abouts. It stands out very noticeably. Have run -repair in-case it was local file corruption, does not seem to be the case. I can list hardware specs, but I don't think it matters, everyone I've asked can see it too. The player merged soulbeast version of the skill seems to be working normally still. Similarly, it looks normal for wild iboga mobs. It's only the ranger pet version.
  12. Another year of SAB, another year of the Adventuring daily still being terribly inconsistent. Just ran it with a friend, I got credit, he did not. Both in the instance from start to finish In previous years I've also run it solo and not got credit. I do not leave the instance and wait for the counter, still sometimes fails. What gives?
  13. The new AoE visual effects are really, really stupid. PLEASE change it back. It's not even an exaggeration to say that they take up literally the entire screen.
  14. It's not really "happened again" just now by chance. It is 100% reproducible and happens every single time. If you buy anything with a waystation while your special action key is already up, you will get 0 charges. Every single time. It's incredibly annoying.
