This was the only reason for me to buy the expansion and since they are not introducing legendary runes initially, nor compensating us with it I have zero plans to buy this expansion or any other expansion. I worked hard on grinding out and making my legendary runes and for them to nullify my hard work and time (I do like the idea of the Rune system, just not their implementation) I will not support them by purchasing this expansion. Therefore I will be at a disadvantage in every game mode because they are taking away a major component of my gameplay. Simple Solution: Everyone who has made 6 Legendary Runes receives a Legendary Relic once they are introduced. Individuals with 7 Legendary runes at release also receive a Legendary box (Usable on a legendary weapon of their choice). Afterall The materials, clovers and such used warrant this.

As a Legendary rune set owner with all the grind and expense to get them, the only Compensation tat would be acceptable in my opinion would be a Legendary Relic useable on every character I have. Barring that, I agree with the Above Post, Scrap it until Anet can properly implement the Relics, explain the compensation and ensure it is equal to what we are losing. It has been a week, surely someone could have read all these posts and spent 5 minutes to give us a better explanation then "We are figuring out compensation", rather then we are working on a fix for Legendary runes.
  3. They most likely will. They have had them on almost every map they have created. It does no harm to th game and will make the maps a little more challenging to complete. Hopefully they will be individual hero points instead of group Hero points like in the previous expansions
  4. Some examples of currencies that could be merged- Unbound magic and Violatile magic. make them into dragon magic. The WvW Currencies, just merge them and make it WvW heroic Tokens. You can even merge the HOT currencies into one currency, same goes for POF currencies and Icebrood currencies. Do like you did with the Dungeon currencies. You merely adjust the costs needed for items
  5. As of right now, I am not purchasing, as I totally disagree with them removing my Legendary rune set and forcing us to grind and craft for something we already have. No compensation can replace the effort i put into the legendary runes and then basically force us to do more crafting merely to regain what they took away.
  6. An simple option/solution- Keep Legendary runes as they are. Add a Legendary Relics slot and allow those that wish to, craft a Legendary Relic that would add an additional 6th slot Bonus. Much cleaner and doesn't take away from what we worked so hard to grind and make. There is no compensation Anet can give that can compensate us for the Mystic clovers, gold, materials and time we took to grind the legendary Runes.

I agree, besides the flexibility of choosing instantly what rune set you wished to use or change, the 6th affect (in my case Vampirism and the 10% health increase) is the main reason for having it, removing that removes the reason for having Legendary runes. Add to that forcing us to grind a new currency to regain (even if you get to choose the 6th affect) ruins the entire purpose and reason for having legendary runes and takes away something i have already worked hard to obtain. The best solution I can see is Leave Legendary runes as they are AND let people grind for a Relic which can be added to the Legendary rune with whatever affect they have (It could be adding an additional selectable 6th to the rune). This solves the problem and makes it less messy
  8. I've decided I will not be purchasing this Expansion at this time. There isn't much in it that I like, and until the explain Exactly how the relic system will work and how they are going to force us to grind for something we really didn't want or need.

Wouldn't be easier to keep the existing legendary runes as they are and add additional benefits for grinding out the relics? i think that would be a much better option and have less of an impact for those of us that already have the legendary runes. it makes for a smoother method. Myself personally am not happy about losing something I worked hard to obtain. Having that freedom to swap stats and the 6th affect of the runes was the whole reason and purpose of obtaining legendary runes. Now being forced to grind out a currency to re obtain what I already have is not fair because I will be forced to play something I have no interest in playing because you wish to invalidate my hard work.
  10. They destroyed EOTM when they did not add pips and skirmish tickets to EOTM. Doing this and you add a valuable map back into WvW (Especially on reset night and some times on other days). Even if it was at 50% the rate of the normal WvW areas, it would be a good reason to play on EOTM. If they also gave Pips and skirmish tickets in the arena, it would encourage GvG fights and dueling also. Additionally, they could revamp the map making the air areas into Water, adding a Tunnel system (parts of which exist in the center and some other areas) to fight in. This would add more water areas to fight in and with a Tunnel system a third dimension. thus making it a regular WvW map.
  11. Thanks for not helping WvW with a totally unnecessary change. Might as well remove the walls. This means people facing huge blobs while outnumbered cannot get the Weekly achievements. Bad enough Maguuma stopping everyone from getting Stonemist. Now we cannot get the Defense achievements either. Why bother giving us Bonuses if you won't let us have a chance at getting them. I wish we could get a chance to give input before unnecessary changes are made. No onw will defend towers and keeps if they can't get credit as it is impossible to defend when you have huge blobs attacking and only small numbers of defenders
  12. Unfortunately, they don't address two issues with WvW. Emblem of the Conquerer and Emblem of the Avenger are worthless! You only need them to make Conflux, yet we keep getting the dang things. Make it where you can either sell them like junk or where we can exchange them for something useful like Memories of Battle. Second, Skirmish tickets become basically useless after making your Legendary Armor, Backpiece, and confluxes. Please Give us other stuff to purchase with Skirmish Tickets, be it Guild Siege, Blue Siege, Weapon and Armor Skins, or possibly exchange them for Statuettes, Badges of tribute. Something please (I currently have like 60,000 Skirmish tickets and everything legendary). Give us a decent WvW economy please!
  13. PLEASE change AIR keep lord back to the way it was. This totally favors the attackers, and it is almost impossible to defend Air Keep now. Most groups can ignore the Lord and wipe any defense against them now. A Friend of mine almost soloed the Lord in AIR, he had it down to 49% before a huge group showed up.
  14. The short update this afternoon bugged the Supply Dolyaks in WvW. You kill them but get no experience or credit. After you kill them, the Destroy Dolyaks appear on the right side of the screen, but there are no Dolyaks. this is for all Supply Dolyaks in WvW
  15. Just a note. i believe 500 is perfect as i've already seen various WvW guilds already stack their guild to 500 already. Allowing them to get even bigger would merely allow serious abuses and manipulation of the matchups to the WvW environment
