  1. Focusing on this because I know it best. These are nice changes, but don't address what makes off-hand pistol bad in PvP and WvW. That is: blowtorch. Low stack, long duration condi does not work in a game mode with so much cleanse. Landing a perfect blowtorch feels bad because you only ever get ~20% of it to tick before the opponent cleanses it. It needs to go back to 4 stacks and 6 seconds rather than 2 and 12.
  2. Somehow restock the PvP player population by drawing people over from PvE-land. No idea how to do that. Probably involves gradually integrating more PvP-style encounters into the open world or instanced content, allowing and encouraging players to fight each other in arenas (where people can see them and learn). Stick some free-for-all squares right in the middle of the next big map? I dunno. Game mode needs new blood
  3. You have to understand that the developers are very busy fixing much more important and game breaking bugs. Eg. Fixed an issue that prevented vertical tentacles from displaying the correct portrait during the Defense of Amnytas meta-event. Fixed an issue that prevented some profession-specific abilities from being counted for Wizard's Vault dodge objectives. Feast of Truffle Steak: Fixed an issue that caused the nourishment effect to last for 30 minutes. The nourishment effect now correctly lasts for 60 minutes. Fixed an issue that caused the /bless emote to play when using /shiver. And so on. Very critical stuff.

  5. I'll bite. The video is really cool, and it's nice to see a small group punching way above its weight, but it looks like they're able to face tank way too much for their size because they have every boon all the time and support+cleanse is rolling constantly. If you watch the health bars and boon bars, they're rarely under much pressure. For a group of their size to beat the groups they're taking on, I'd like to see them have to work some tactics other than "kite around a corner and then pull-bomb while pressing all the support buttons"
  6. It's always https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gale that gets me in that matchup. It's unblockable, hard to see, and easily long enough to kill you if your stun break is on CD. Playing condi engi, I have to run from cele harb and any competent core necro. Their sustain is tuned for big fights in WvW. On some core necros, I literally cannot do enough damage to overcome their shroud regen even if I land everything and they land nothing.
  7. Partly mitigated by the fact that in WvW, most players have more defensive options, (vit/tough gear, or cele, boons, dodge sigil), but it still feels ridiculous to lose over half your health in 2 hits of a quickness unblockable rapid fire from a bajillion miles away.
  8. And toolkit skills in WvW/PvP. But... given how few things get touched in any given balance patch and how infrequent balance patches are, you can pretty much give up on these ever getting fixed.
  9. Unpopular opinion: Stun breaks should not exist. All hard CC should be telegraphed with a visible animations, should be blockable, dodgeable, and interruptible. If you get hit after all that, well, you get CCed and you have to wait it out, and maybe die.
  10. I think condi autos are much, much worse than your testing shows, given how often players cleanse. As such, pistol is probably worse than rifle in practice. Likewise, melee autos are much worse than ranged autos in practice, since you'll be in range way less often.
  11. I'd love to do more small scale too, but I can't, you see, because I'd like to play condi, and support completely invalidates its existence. Just watch the first fight looking at the boon bar vs the condi bar. kitten's OP Yo. No amount of application is getting through that kind of cleanse.
  12. All right. Play this out. Let's use @Sahne.6950 's posted example of the opener on Mirage. Suppose a condi build, condi amulet, and they have toughness or vit (can't have both). How do they not just immediately die to this, even with the extra defense?
  13. What is toughness? I know for kitten sure, there's no amulet I can stick on my condi engi that's going to let it go up against that kind of burst. Doesn't matter if I land literally everything. Doesn't matter if they have no cleanse at all. That condi is going to take .. what, 10s at least to kill them? They only need less than 1 to kill me. I basically can't take a single hit.
