  1. So buff the other quickness professions. People want to play their classes because they feel powerful they feel good. Lowering it to a standard where damage + alacrity or quickness sources don't do much damage just makes players not want to play them and then you're left with a scenario of instead of what we could have called 60% of players have a support option to 20% of players ever playing quickness or alacrity options and group content just gets more and more difficult to get people together for because no one wants to feel how little damage you do in open world.
  2. I don't normally post but this is kind of a last straw. I have NEVER felt so betrayed by ArenaNet's so called 'balance' team. I have always had faith that there would be some inkling of reason behind changes but none of these changes make sense mathematically. Players aren't asking to keep the same power level per se but at least feel good about playing their classes and spec's. None of these changes address the issues properly. Are quickness and alacrity sources "supposed" to only do 25k damage on bench? Are they supposed to be linked to healers only then?
  3. At the cost of 30% damage because not only do you *not* take empowering auras you're then forced to take something that removes an additional 10% of your out going damage. This is NOT okay.
  4. Can we please address the elephant in the room with the beta elite specs coming up? Chronomancer, the time mage named spec, cannot produce enough quickness *and* alacrity for a sub squad without significant sacrifices to the point where it's primarily viewed as a DPS spec or quickness only spec. This seems like a huge flavour fail to not have chronomancer be the superlative quickness and alacrity provider. Furthermore, the changes to scourge's abrasive grit and sand flare are a step in the right direction but as long as Sadistic Searing and punishments remain in a weak spot damage wise, there is still a great incentive to simply stack Desert Empowerment condi dps scourges instead of using a full on heal scourge.
  5. Alright I kind of feel this needs to be said at this point but the OP copy/pasted this from a satirical and sarcastic paragraph written in a discord that was deliberately memeing. Reaper *does* need a buff but not for these specific reasons provided here.
  6. Idea is good and welcome, but I am extremely concerned. As someone who has crafted more than the base 3 armor class legendary armors for utility purposes, this invalidates my time and effort. I don't feel respected as a dedicated player. The resources I've sunk into the additional armors could have easily been allocated to legendary trinkets or weapons or runes and sigils. I'm not owed anything absolutely and do understand it but it's a real feels bad scenario. Another issue is that this is invalidating or causing diminishing value of Legendary Insights and Divinations in combination past 750 as there are no sinks for these "currencies". Ascended armor overall also loses a portion of value since once you obtain the legendary armor set for the one armor type, you in effect never need to have/use armor at all as well. I want this sort of QoL, but I am deeply concerned with the long term repercussions. Material markets will subsequently also be destabilized as there is a minimal reason to use materials then for crafting the gifts of might/magic/condensed might/condensed magic etc. (To be honest, I'd love if they crashed to the point where selling to an NPC were comparable with the trading post, but that also implies an overall deflation)
  7. I think You're misunderstanding how the conversion worked. You were only to get conversions equal to the amount of LI's you were able to acquire during the time period that Hall of Chains was released because for the better part of a year Hall of Chains was still dropping LI's not LD's. If you only cleared bosses 58 times you'd only receive 58 conversions.

With Bryon's statement previously, https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/comment/680435/#Comment_680435 all the flak you're receiving right now is because your statement can be taken as implication 2. If that is the intention, then this breaches your players trust in whatever developers are saying. If implication 1 is the intention, I would strongly recommend reviewing previous information and provide a clearer statement as this sort of miscommunication is not becoming for marketing.
