  1. I'm disappointed with the choice of shortbow. I would have added scepter for the lightning zappies. But it is what it is, hopefully ANet fulfils my scepter dreams eventually.
  2. I wanted Ele pistol for EOD, but didn't get it. I'm thankful for it coming in SOTO.
  3. I haven't played my Guardian since 2014. OMG I might now, come dual pistols! Bringing holy fire and HOLY FIREPOWER.
  4. I prefer that just for once they stop adding maps every patch and focus on telling a good story. The world is already crazy huge with the ridiculous number of events with every new map that comes with another endless thing to farm, it's starting to get way too bloated. If need be, make use of existing maps, add new events there!
  5. I just want any core melee weapon so that I can finally get chain lightning scepter for next elite spec, otherwise we're stuck getting melee weapons forever...
  6. Was inspired to try running a P/P Engi too after reading this because I love the gunslinger aesthetic too. I tried Firearms+Alchemy+Tools but it felt a little low damage for minimal sustain. So far I've had the most success using Explosives 2-1-3, Firearms 1-1-3, Inventions 1-2-2. Tried swapping from Big Boomer to Shrapnel but it didn't feel good. Gear is Celestial trinkets (because that's the only Condi gear I currently have) and Rampager armour+weapons (because I can't afford Vipers yet). So it's very much unoptimised, just running with whatever I can. Overall it's been ok. Doesn't hit as hard obviously as Power but I like the gunslinger feel of it. I think swapping out Inventions for Holosmith will do more damage but (1) I don't find it fun managing the Forge mechanic in OW; (2) Holosmith isn't exactly the feel I'm going for.
  7. I hope it's a support spec called the Shadowdancer!
  8. I'm still hoping GS is a full-on ranged spellcaster weapon, like summoning wells and all sorts of cc. Our new Legend is a Cantha version of a "Taoist Priest" who commands hopping vampire minions.
  9. I'm hoping for a focus that looks like an Ironman glove, so we can "suit up" into a Hulkbuster (assuming that's what the espec icon is).
  10. PS: I'm just a casual player, so I'll leave the balance/tradeoff concerns to the ANet class designers to figure out. Here's my guess for the elite spec! Based on the animal face icon, our e-spec is going to be Shapeshifter! Our new e-spec gimmick: Wildshape. Beside the normal pet selection box, we get a wildshape selection box, made of the following choices: Tiger (power damage), Spider (condition damage), Bear (tanking), Moa (Support). We can alter the choice out of combat, and only 1 choice can made at any time. Pressing F5 will cause us to shapeshift (character model replaced) into the chosen form, and our weapon and utilities will be replaced by pet skills following the wildshape's theme. Unlike CA, there's no need to accumulate charge to use, maybe it just uses the 10sec cooldown. Our new e-spec weapon/utilities: Can't think of something, maybe none. We are already getting constant access to 1 new "weapon" and "utility" sets at all times, with 4 (or more) any time out of combat. In essence, my guess is that we are sorta getting the Revenant's Legend system.
  11. Personally I still want a Thief healer elite spec, that would totally break the rules/conventions about Thief. And also because Thief doesn't have a proper healer/support spec yet.
  12. I want Greatsword as a ranged spellcaster. A Legend that full-on casts elemental attacks through the GS.
  13. I wish for a support/healing spec. They could call it the Kabuki Dancer or something. Spec gimmick could be a variation of Guardian's virtues that emphasises/requires movement.
  14. Story earns them money, "the combat, quality of life improvements, endgame competitive content" does not. More story, less endgame grind please.
