  1. Suggestion for a bit more immersion: There's some areas (such as some instances or jumping puzzles) where mounts and gliding is not allowed... sometimes the game doesn't tell you that (like in the instances and you TRY to use a mount, but are unable to), and sometimes the game just flat out tells you "you can't use mounts (or glide) in this area". I would suggest making a more immersive explanation as to why the mounts & gliding isn't allowed... "Something about this area is unsettling to your mounts - they refuse to go any further!" "The unstable atmosphere in this area makes it impossible to glide here!"
  2. Bump - still not fixed. This sort of thing really discourages achievement hunters like me from playing the game.
  3. I absolutely loved the story, the music, and the new map! I think pretty much everything was well done and really got me in the feels. I already can't wait for the next episode to come out! That being said, there's a few anti-social mechanics within some of the events of the new map that bug me - and kinda make me dread seeing other players. This reddit post pretty much sums up what I'm talking about. I love GW2 mostly because of how it encourages players to work together (being able to share resource nodes, everyone that hits a mob gets experience from the kill, that sort of thing). But with a few events in this new map... well, it's like Anet took a step backwards or maybe it was just a BIG oversight? A few things the post covers includes... Event boss mobs that only drop the needed item to one person - such as the Graveling in "The Consul's Tomb" that drops a single plate, which players fight over... rather than giving everyone that fought the graveling the plate.Collection events that don't have a time remaining timer after filling the progress bar - such as the oil collection event during The Oil Floes meta event... rather than giving 10 seconds to turn in what you have collected just like every other collection event in Tyria.Server side resource nodes and people having the possibility to steal your fish - such as the dredge fishing spots for the heart quest in the Dredgeways... rather than making the fish client-side so players can't steal your fishPlease, please, please fix these few things to encourage player interaction once again or at the very least refrain from implementing these anti-social design methods in future content!
  4. You can safely give gold & items to alt accounts through a personal guild bank - in fact, it's FAR easier to do that than all the mailing! It only costs 1gp to create a guild (with just you and your alt accounts). Besides, if you have your mail settings set to "Accept mail from everyone" you could STILL do that! Even if you could only accept mail from your friends, you could STILL work it out by adding all your alt accounts as friends.
  5. SUGGESTION: Add an option in Settings for how in-game mail should be accepted. Accept mail from Anet/Game OnlyAccept mail from Anet/Game + FriendsAccept mail from everyoneThe reason for this is pretty simple - some malicious user could make a RMT and have the gold sent to someone else's account in an attempt to get them banned. The person the gold was sent to is a victim and there's nothing they can do to prevent this from happening. By default, I think the setting should be "Accept mail from Anet/Game + Friends". However, there should be away to tip people in-game (such as tipping mesmers for helping with a Jumping Puzzle, or tipping Commanders for leading a squad), so the option to accept mail from everyone should be available (unless you implement a new way to tip people in-game, such as with a /tip command with a maximum tip of 10 gold). A couple good example of these malicious attempts can be found at the following links: https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/9smmxr/that_moment_when_a_stranger_sends_you_200g/https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/9d7orp/how_to_get_someone_banned_for_less_than_3/UPDATE: Another option would be removing items/gold from mail entirely (except mail from Anet/game) and bring back the trading system (like from GW1) where players have to meet with each other and "trade" to give each other items/gold.
  6. My suggestion will most likely require ArenaNet putting together a guild team once again as it also contains a suggestion for new features, but still offers a few gem store suggestions - so here goes... First, add a few more features to the Guild Window... Add settings for recruitment management - these settings would allow guild leaders/officers the ability to set... Recruiting Type: can be set to OPEN (anybody can freely join), RESTRICTED (officer approval required), or CLOSED (invite-only).Guild Focus: contains a list of checkboxes that the guild typically participates in (PvE - Open World, PvE - Dungeons/Fractals, PvE - Raids, PvP, WvW, etc).Guild Description: automatically includes which server the guild is in, but also allows players to write a description of the guild - useful for adding links to online Guild Applications.Add a "Search for Guild" tab - this tab would allow players to search/browse through a list of OPEN/RESTRICTED guilds (CLOSED guilds would not appear on the list)... Player's should be able to filter the list depending on what criteria they are looking for in a guild (for example, Focus = WvW, Server = Blackgate - will only show WvW guilds on the Blackgate server).Clicking on a guild in this tab will show the user more details of the guild (including the description) and the ability to JOIN (if it's an OPEN Guild) or SEND REQUEST (if it's a RESTRICTED Guild). Then, add some Gem Store items to enhance the Guild the player is representing... 2,000 gems = Feature Guild (for 1 day/week), places the represented guild at the top of the 'Search for Guild' list with a customized font style/color to really make it stand out!400 gems = Advertise Guild (for 1 day/week), places the represented guild near the top of the Search for Guild list, under the featured guilds but above all the non-advertised guilds???? gems = Exclusive Guild Hall, allows players to purchase a Deed/Claim (similar to the 100 gold ones) for their guild to attempt to claim an exclusive Guild Hall (for example, 'Mistlock Haven' - which would have the same gravity effects as Mistlock Sanctuary)Anyway, I think ArenaNet could make quite a bit of money with guilds purchasing advertisements on a daily/weekly basis!
  7. You asked for my feedback, so here it is... I hate how the Mount Adoption system is pretty much a RNG Lootbox. I really like some of the skins and would be willing to pay for them, but I certainly am not willing to pay for just a 'chance' to get them. I don't go to a clothing store and give them $20 for a 'chance' to get something I like! I really don't support the RNG Lootbox system at all (including the Black Lion Chests). I think it was a really bad move on ArenaNet's part, ESPECIALLY with the serious fire that other gaming companies are taking because of their own RNG Lootbox systems and how much people hate them. The PoF expansion was amazing and gave GW2 some great reviews and popularity, but these RNG Lootboxes are just going to ruin it. As a loyal veteran, I'm already finding myself not as excited to play GW2 after reading up on all this...
