  1. Assuming your monitor's refresh rate is not maxed out at 24 or 30 fps, you should be seeing better performance. GW2 is poorly optimized for today's PC hardware and the game is CPU bound (too much running on its main thread). You have more than enough resources to drive this game at 1920 x 1080. Make sure your power profile in windows is set to "High Performance" and not "Balanced". You might also want to tweak your cores' power/parked settings with programs like "Quick CPU". Windows might be trying to reduce your power consumption by throttling your CPU (i experienced this issue as well). I noticed a substantial fps boost when i unparked my CPU cores and changed the power profile, but I game at 4K res. Also be aware that the more populated an map is the more it will effect your fps.
  2. I really enjoyed playing as a druid in PvE up until this patch. The 20% pet nerf had a very bad side effect with the mob A.I. I am noticing that the mobs are ignoring my pet now and going straight after me. My pet's attack abilities don't even land most of the time b/c the mob is chasing me instead of attacking my pet. Druid is left not being able to cope with druid skills b/c they are mostly all support skills, and now as a ranger we are now at a stark disadvantage as we are basically pet-less. Please fix pets so the mobs do not ignore them.
  3. I suppose that it's all subjective to the player. And yes, I too hear South Park characters come through at times, but I really appreciate the VA's performance. I have seven human female characters, out of eleven total. I love that they sound like they are focused on what they are doing, and actually affected by the events around them. It feels like they are... well serious (for lack of a better word), which is how I imagine them. I've been playing Guild Wars since the the original's opening weekend. I do like the lore of Guild Wars and I enjoy all the story making that goes into it (including my character's story). To some extent, the fate of Tyria is in your character's hands, and the tone set by the VA is just part of the telling of the tale. My human female characters sound like they are competent but still vulnerable. As contrasting example, the human male character VA's performance, is a bit too aloof for my tastes and I don't feel as personally connected to the tale he conveys. I guess it really just depends on how you imagine your character in the world of Tyria and whether the VA's performance fits that narrative.
