  1. Don't mean this in a rude way, but looking at the way you built it with full offensive weapon sets, glass stats, and only one hard escape - I thought it wad an open world PvE build. You might be able to kill someone who is not expecting the burst or perhaps didn't see you at all in the middle of a chaotic fight, but a single thief can, and will, ruin your day.
  2. I would take ancient seeds any day over Eclipse. Eclipse isn't even needed, only worth taking for synergy with demon queen relic. If you use any other relic at all, you may as well drop Eclipse.
  3. Just some personal opinions: - Minstrels doesn't need to be removed. There is counter play to it that exists in the game currently. It's primary weakness us no damage, it's a full support tank set. - Celestial needs to be reverted and lose expertise and concentration. It was strong without those two stats and the counter was full on condi (in terms of roaming). This is a quick and easy solution in my opinion. The set will still be strong, but not best in slot for everything other than zerging. - Boons need a two-pronged approach in order to be balanced. Toning down the amount of boons each class can provide and returning some flavourful back to diversifying class choices. Secondly boon removal need to be turned up significantly. Unfortunately these problems are part of CMC's vision for WvW game mode. Make roaming exclusive to 1 choice, celestial. This elimates having any skilled players from being able to 1vX multiple opponents through having knowledge of their class, their terrain, and removes thinking and skill from fights. Just spam. Secondly, make zerging only possible with greater numbers of people running specific builds that require no thought process or actual PvPing. Just press buttons on a rotation EXACTLY like in a PvE raid. Upkeep permanent boons and make it so that very rarely does anyone actually die, upon each push only those that didn't stick tightly within the boon ball get wiped. It isn't fun and I'm not sure how any of you are even able to enjoy WvW anymore with the current state of the game. Posting this video below, it's from my current matchup - it's a 3-way fight of boon balls. Each push only kills 1-2 people who weren't able to stack tightly or follow their tag, no skill, no thinking, just press buttons off cooldown like you were DPSing a golem in the raid test area, while following the tag. The video ends with no one gaining any ground or even accomplishing anything. I'm sorry if I sound critical and I dont mean it as an insult to anyone in the video (not mine), but I only played GW2 because of this game mode and its kept me to this game since launch. Sad to see where it's leading. There is only one way to fix this - but it seems like this boring video is what they intend for WvW.
  4. I take it and I enjoy outnumbered fights. Shared Anguish is only 1 stack of stab, can't rely on that to Stomp while outnumbered. Blind/daze/turtle bubble are much more effective defensively while applying poison and area damage to the downed body and keep damage up on nearby opponents. Relic of the demon queens reduced healing is very useful as well.
  5. For a master tier trait selection I think this trait already has overlap with temporal enchanter and is not needed with mantra of concentration or Bountiful disillusionment from the chaos line. Compared to the other options, there is no reason to slot this, especially considering distortion is on a 50 second cooldown (WvW, since it wouldn't be something worth slotting in PvE). Please consider creating a new trait selection for this slot. An idea consistent with inspiration: Phantasmal Detonation: Upon completing an attack, phantasms detonate, applying conditions currently on them to nearby foes. Allies around the mesmer gain barrier.
  6. Yeah the Kirin. Well that's unfortunate, definitely would make a nice pet to have
  7. I think I was pretty close on my prediction, had a feeling it would be lackluster. The pet needs to apply slow with the cripple and have that lightning shield that grants resolution, even if only to itself. I'm a bit disappointed, was hoping for something better like those horse looking enemies.
  8. I have a feeling they may make it give resolution to allies and apply slow/cripple to enemies. Iboga but power based.
  9. Don't mean this in a rude way although it may come across as that, but if you were finding the current version of support mesmer sub-par you may either be running the wrong build, not using the skills properly, or your APM is too low. Played properly it can straight up replace firebrand in a sub group and bring a bit of boon rip, better CC, super speed, and a non-removable aura on top of that. This doesnt mean I agree with the nerfs because there was several parts as to why this became part of the unbreakable boon blob, the revenant stacking and rune of lhyr played a larger role in my opinion.. but the TL;DR of it is it was significantly stronger than firebrand, but you needed more APM and not be a clicker to do it.
  10. Thanks for the detail you put into your responses. I revently returned to power herald but even as an experienced outnumbered roamer, I get completely blown up on power herald. My personal issue with rev has always been managing my energy. It makes sense on thief for me, comparatively speaking, but revenant I burn all my energy and can't even use skills to defend myself after. I'm going to try your vindicator setup as a last ditch effort before I shelve my revenant again.
  11. 1) condi mech 2) condi mech 3) neither is meta, so both have equal opportunity. 4) depends on user. 5) condi mech
  12. Personally I'm hoping for greatsword on thief and they make it a ninja spec. I would become a thief main if that happened 🙂
  13. Necro is great in zergs but I feel it needs some improvements as it stands now for anything outside of that. The second life pool doesn't justify poor stability access, no blocks, and limited mobility outside of harbinger. I know some people feel it's "easy" but to a veteran player or competent sPvPer, most of the time it's basically a free kill. I'm saying this as someone who doesn't main necro. It has very glaring weaknesses. Long cooldowns, long cast times, poor healing abilities, can get ping-pong'd around, highly telegraphed, vulnerable to ranged burst, can be kited easily, etc. Ways I think necro could improve incrementally and then could be reassessed from there: - Make flesh worm either stun break on cast AND return or cut the cast time significantly for it. - return the old version of plague form. It was great for tanking damage when focused by multiple opponents without ripping off your whole shroud, allowed for safe stomping, and allowed necro to be able to roam. The current plague lands is garbage because of the long cooldown and its only good for dropping on already downed opponents. - Reduce the cooldown of spectral walk. Better yet, having the old selectable trait for reduced cooldown on spectral skills with increased durations. - Make well of power also pulse the 1 second of stability 5 times. I think these few changes will benefit all parts of necro opening more roaming builds.
  14. Fernhound, Turtle, white moa, blue moa, white tiger. Brown bears 2 condi removals aren't necessary, druid has plenty of cleanse.
  15. I think the original plan was best - someone who had 7 legendary runes should probably get the full legendary relic, anything less would contribute progress towards it. I don't like that you will have to unlock relics to be added to the legendary relic, it should function like any other legendary. Overall, I'm happy they decided to give this to players who had a set of legendary runes broken with the implementation of relics.
