  2. raising hand with a featherbrained look in his eyes * yeess, here, me, I am!Imaging placing a fire bomb with 4x2.5k tick in mids of a camp with 4 NPCs guards and 1 Player -> constant barrier gain of dunno... 1k/sec thanks to burning guards for like 6 seconds, during this time Focus solely on the Player. All this while having 3400 armor..... Sooo curious if this is gonna work... probably not^^ Did I just read beer?
  3. That was me haha, but maybe you misunderstood, I never said you can simply outtank 3 ppl forever with the changes, that would be insane. My Initial Statement was just, that I can see myself fighting 3v1 again. Meaning to engage and survive, maybe kill 1/2/3 of them before disengaging. This is currently hardly possible.
  4. Nono, sorry for the misunderstanding:Barrier benefits from toughness the same way as healing does: indirectly due to the fact that you receive less direct damage with higher toughness. And when I am talking about condi scrapper I usually mean dire/wanderer/apothecary stuff. Sure, the flaw of ANY condi build is that condis can easily be removed with the right skills/traits/Equipment. I didn't mean to say that condi scrapper is generally better. However, all builds that fight outnumbered have usually outstanding survivability while doing decent damage. This is currently not the case for power scrapper, but rather possible with condi scrapper IMO. Sure, same as any blocks/dodges/reflects/invuls reduces power damage below 2000-2666dps in a similar way, otherwise you would kill every oponent in 6-8 seconds.However, the Advantage over the good old adaptive armor is that IF your condis tick, you do not Need to be hit or to actively hit to stack barrier. You can just let it tick. I did not say it will be better than pre patch, but it will be better than it is now, and now it is already possible to engage many 2v1 and either win, or at least survive with condi scrapper thanks to mobility and several stealth possibilities. Similar to condi thief, I am curious how it will be :) if they really add condition damage to the barrior Generator it would be great
  5. Power won't work, but condi may be. All it would Need is those 300-400 barrier/sec to make a big difference again IMO. Depending on the conversion rate, this could be possible with around 3k dps/sec.Before the nerf of scrapper it was also much easier to take on 3 oponents as a condi than as a power scrapper. Reason is that both your heals and your barriers benefit a lot from higher toughness, at least against power-based oponents. So sure, scrapper will never ever be able to take on 3 condi scourges at once^^ but then I would just simply walk away with superspeed as they are slow as hell.
  6. Uuuhh I see my condi scrapper playing 3v1 again when barrier-on-condi becomes a Thing .
  7. purge gyro should stay a light field IMO, to increase the cleansing possibilities.
  8. The poison field is not for damage but to reduce healing and for weakness comboing.
  9. Regarding Engineer Changes: Purge Gyro: will you Keep the 5s ? So will it remove now 1 condition every 2 seconds? If it is changed to 3 condi clears, please Keep the 1s removal interval for 3s and just make the light field last for 6s instead. Sneak Gyro: same here, as an Exchange for the longer CD, make the smoke field last for 1-2s longer.
  10. Uhm... I play core with kits, I play scrapper with kits and I play holo with kits....Uhm... I play condi core, condi scrapper, power scrapper, power holo, celestial holoUhm... I play meele builds, ranged builds, offensive builds, defensive buildsAll of them have decent condi cleanse, are hard to be kited and provide high mobility, and all of them are hella fun to play...at least in WvW roaming. Holosmith can be implemented in a range of builds, no need to stick to the boring meta builds.

This is a game where damage and defense stats cover a big range, so if 2 full dps meet, 1shot is possible and if 2 full tanks meet, no one can win.While other call it unbalanced, I personally like that big range, you have so much flexibility in what you want to run. Go for condi tank against full glass spikers, go to full glass spike against healers and go for healer against condi tanks.... OR Chose a intermediate build to do fairly well against all of those.

  13. It will ALWAYS be the case that you either destroy, be destroyed or you have an endless fight. The only variables are to which % each case happens. As Long as you don't win a marjory of ALL solo/smallscale WvW fights you should reconsider your build or keep on honing your skills. However, you will never win all fights or lose all fights
  14. Condi scrapper is still viable in WvW roaming, however only due to the high tough/vita combined with barrier (more effective with higher toughness) and healing traits. In PvP it lacks either toghness or vitality thanks to the -3000HP :/
