  1. Today I had two Drakkar fights. While the first one went perfectly well, a second one was completely bugged. 1. Drakkar appeared before Jhavi reached the first area and started her usual "show yourself" monologue. 2. On the first phase Drakkar wasn't moving and was standing still until 80%. 3. The intermediate phase went well with no issues, and we managed to go through the cave passage to the next area. 4. We got Drakkar to 60%, Jhavi spawned her bubble shield and... The whole fight got stuck. Drakkar didn't show up at all after it disappeared in the ice, so we couldn't pass through the CC phase. There were only two HP bars: Drakkar's one and Jhavi's shield. Because it's the first time I see this bug, I think something was broken due to recent changes in the Halloween patch.
  2. I don't really understand this change. First of all, according to patch notes it applies to all game modes affecting PvE and WvW, while this patch provides changes mostly for PvE mode. It feels odd to see such a significant change for a very viable and important WvW skill with no balance in WvW skills and traits to "compensate" this change by something else. One can assume, that this change was done to reduce the synergy between MoL and Stalwart Speed trait (and thus less quickness), but quickness is not the primary boon in WvW and can be covered by many sources. Am I missing something? Anet also says: Again, is there something I miss here? To me MoL has always been a source of 5-target stun break rather than a stab source even though they're related. It's understandable Anet wants to tone down it and to give more opportunities for other classes to cover this loss, but I still can't find any explanation why this change should be brought in WvW too.
  3. Unfortunately taverns don't exist on every core map, unlikely it will work. But a small bonus similar to something we gain from guild banners could work: extra experience, karma or gold. To be honest I doubt people buy EoD specifically for this feature, and I've never seen it being advertised to attract someone. I feel the idea was about adding something similar I saw in WoW maaaaaaaany years ago: there was a kind of festival near Stormwind. If my memory serves me well, before the festival some carts and tents (or similar) under construction were appearing. During some period of time (maybe a week or two) they were evolving into a completed structures. Something similar to market areas or fair is the first thing that comes into my head.
  4. Dear @ArenaNet Team.4819, The tavern located near Shaemoor Waypoint in Queensdale has been of the most noticeable places for many years. Key farmers see it every week when they rush from Divinity's Reach to Shaemoor Fields. Newcomers see it during the prologue quest, and later when they appear right in front of it. Some players just occasionally gather there to talk or simply stay in a semi-afk mode. Any GW2 player has access to this place since it's a part of core Tyria. It's a really great slacking spot where people can gather, chit-chat, and it could also leave a nice impression on newcomers,: the first thing they would see is an active area with players talking to each other and flexing with their fashion. While there is no bank or TP services around, like in Divinity's Reach, this place still looks cozy and authentic and already brings players on daily basis. I propose to slightly adjust this place to make it more attractive and interactive. Replace tavern chairs with interactive ones. A lot of chairs in other taverns were reworked a long time ago to make them "sittable". Open the 2nd floor and basement which would add extra space similar to some other taverns like in DR. And maybe more generic additions: Add something similar to Arborstone resting bonus. I understand, it doesn't fit into the EoD expac monetization, but the bonus can be different, even 5-10% exp bonus would be helpful for new players. Bring some life to the inner and surrounding areas! I'm not talking now about bringing these changes to all locations (which would be still great, no doubts), but I feel this place in particular suits very well to a concept of polishing existing stuff before bringing more newcomes to the universe of GW2 (looking at Steam). Thank you.
  5. I guess I'm missing something, but aren't there developers responsible solely for their game class or maybe two? I was sure that's a typical thing for a MMO company, even though these devs may report to the same senior lead. Is there any information about how many people are there in a balance team?
  6. Add a checkbox to make inventory window dimensions character wide rather than account wide. Problem Inventory window size (dimensions, not a number of slots) is always the same for all characters, and any changes affect all characters => window dimensions are account wide. Affects Players using "merged" inventory bags without bag separators, when your inventory appears as a single huge bag. Possible Solution Add a checkbox or another setting to make it possible to store inventory window dimensions for each character separately. Gear icon located inside the inventory window is a good candidate for that. Explanation I'm one of those players who prefers to keep my inventory neatly, so I always know where I keep the items I use on daily basis like salvage kits, food and enhancements, boosters and teleports, without using the search box on top of the inventory window. Recently I got a 20-slots bag as a reward for completing "Flame and Frost" story from a renewed LWS1. After replacing one of my 18-slots bag my inventory was "broken" again. I adjusted the window size to make it one cell wider and sorted my stuff a bit. But when I logged back to my main character, I noticed that its inventory window is "broken" now because it was wider than before. Obviously nobody wants to sort their inventory space every time they extend their bag space on a single character. I couldn't find any way to fix it for myself and also asked my guildies if that's true that inventory window dimensions are account wide. Thanks.
  7. Braham Heavy Armor Skin! Is suits really well to Wintersday mood and I think many players would be happy to create new looks based on it. And it's a set of armor pieces, not an outfit, so it's more attractive in terms of fashion and style flexibility.
  8. If it's true, it's unintended bug which should be fixed as soon as possible. In GW2 race is a purely cosmetic things and does not affect any stats. I support others and would like ask you to provide proofs, because currently is quite a serious statement without any proofs.
  9. Braham Primodrus Champion armor. Not an outfit (it will be awful and I don't even bother to buy any of them), but these shoulders and arms look really dope. More flame themed armor in opposite to recently released Ice Reaver armor and Frostsaw skin. It's all about balance, you know 🔥
  10. Yup, and a good marketing strategy is to find a balance between all these things. Make people to buy more, gamble and keep them interested in as long as you can, but don't overdo at the same time. Another good example is Mythic Weapons which cannot be bought separately, and only as a part of some bundle which usually costs 2k. A whole package is usually cheaper than standalone items, but in most cases you don't want all items from the bundle, rather something specific. This forces you to spend more for the items you don't really need because there is no way to obtain what you want. And it all works. If it didn't work, there would be no gambling or in-game fancy stores.
  11. Sorry, that was a reference to an old meme 😄 https://www.meme-arsenal.com/memes/24cbe78e6293a10bf165fa49cf72098f.jpg
  12. Seems this week is a week of revelations! Someone just realized the game one paid for doesn't actually belong to them. And here is another thread with concerns about gem store business model. Please, no offense, I'm just really surprised (no jokes) these things still surprise someone. In short, you're correct. One of my favorite example is Revive Orb. It's a pure trash item which is currently available for 250/1 or 900/5. At the same time we can see that a unique mount skin can cost 1800/1. Does it mean that 10 revive orbs are equal to a mount skin? Of course not. Selling similar items, but with different colors separately? Why not, people will have to buy multiple of them. Loot boxes? The most common thing in all online games. Yes, it is gambling. And the only reason you get statuettes is because it helps to "get around" the gambling law, so you get a guaranteed item (statuette) and everything else is just a random surprise. Selling armor pieces separately? Why not again? Releasing them with some intervals will help to blur the fact you spent, say, 3k in total. Because today you bought one piece, then another one two weeks later. Spending few hundreds of gems each week/month doesn't feel that depressing as spending 3k at once, right? But it works, don't underestimate people. I know some of them who literally can't not to spend money each month on some virtual fancy items.
  13. Following this logic you'll have to terminate any accounts you have elsewhere (social networks, game services and so on) and, surprise-surprise, even stop using Windows OS. Welcome to the real world, please follow me.
  14. I'm sorry that you're looking at the world through the pink glasses. Faster you understand that real world and rainbow valleys with white unicorns we want to see around are two completely opposite things, the easier your life will be. No, the product is not yours even if you paid for that. As well as Windows OS. As well as many subscriptions and accounts you have access to. Read the license agreements at least once to understand that your statements are not true. Your account can be terminated any time with no reason - that's a part of license agreement too (and pretty common I'd say, not only in GW2). Did I mention before that human society is still immature? Life is not TikTok memes, wake up. Even GW2 teach you to "Act with wisdom, but act" instead of talking on forums and thinking you can really change something by doing that. I'm sure there are ANet employees who really love this universe and want to make it better. But you should think in a larger scale. No one owes you anything: if you're weak - you'll be eaten and consumed. If you are strong and smart, you will be able to outplay others. I know my post is a little bit out of topic, so I'd recommend to stop discussing license details here. If @Buzzbugs.1236 wants to clarify license and ownership details, I think it's a really good idea to open another thread specifically for this question. It's a good thing because others would understand how it works.
  15. Please, read my post again, not only two sentences at the beginning.
