  1. I'm not here to defend the trait. I just wanted to point out that pw having a 3s evade is completely incorrect.
  2. From the wiki: So at most you proc twice, and even then a half decent opponent will stop attacking into you when you start evading, so usually you get 1 proc in 1v1s.
  3. Hmm I guess that makes sense. DE does put out pretty ridiculous damage if it's allowed to free cast. I don't know if I agree with him on this 100%, but I can see it on maps where DE has easy access to no port spots he can shoot from.
  4. Did he explain why? I'd like to hear the reasoning.
  5. I can't say much for other classes but DE has a huge tell on its stealth burst which is a bright orange laser pointing at you. If you don't react to this, then you need to pay more attention. Right now, I would say DE is pretty much food for other thieves (core s/d, drd d/p, etc) and revs.
  6. Symbolbrand is a very powerful hybrid spec. It has strong team support and decent damage when you drop all your symbols on someone. It can also 1v1 pretty effectively. I think it's fairly easy to pick up as well. You should be able to find the build on metabattle.
  7. I'm not really sure what to say here. It is an annoying skill, but that's about it. Other than when it's being combined with ports, you can literally just walk away from it.
  8. I don't really see how staff can be good against fbs when they're constantly spamming blocks and none of staffs attacks are unblockable. Besides the double staff bunker build was already nerfed, rightfully. Staff thief hasn't been much more than a gimmick since HoT launch anyway.
  9. the entire point of stealth is to obscure your movement and action...what's the point if they can see you while you're in it? better way to fix it imo are to cause it to break on initial cast of any attack action (regardless of hit or miss). and probably also remove the deadeye elite clearing revealed. that is actually legitimately annoying and probably the most unhealthy part of the kit. I guarantee you if you play any class with a teleport you will be spammed so much by "no valid path to target" that you will take this statement back. I also want to add another comment on people who want to "nerf/remove" stealth/teleports/etc from the game. You're essentially asking for a game of just warriors. This would be very balanced, yes, but it would be so incredibly boring and unhealthy. I feel like you really need to reevaluate what you think is a good change for the game.
  10. Thieves were like this back when d/p dash and s/d acro were prevalent. Players still complained about "perma stealth" or "perma evade" thieves ruining their experiences etc. Eventually, they get nerfed to their present state and you see degenerate specs like s/d condi thief and actual perma evade staff thief appear. I feel like so many players here just blindly hate on thief anything when they don't even understand what they're playing against half the time. The worst example of this was when I actually got flamed by someone on the enemy team for playing condi thief when I was playing core s/d... As a separate note though, can thief stolen skills get looked at? The power level between some of them is insane (eg consume plasma vs throw gunk).
  11. Core necro is doing quite well from what I've seen, and it takes more skill to play well. Maybe you should give it a try first?
