  1. I have actually tried the DPS meter at events, usually the Bjora Marshes meta event vs. Drakkar. And I will say that as I watched my damage, I tried other things and other classes to see if there was less or more damage. I also looked to see what classes were top DPS. (Hint: Reaper, well played.) I found that auto attacking with my hammer on my Herald was my highest damage output. I chalked it up to just swinging and swinging and swinging with like 99% precision did a lot more than actually cycling through skills and combos. My dual axe-wielding Bezerker Warrior was up there too. Both of those were in top 3-5 DPS slots. A lot of that success I credit buffs from the squad. I've watched DPS meter on my Marauder scourge in WvW and noticed better than expected results. I chalk that up to squad members buffing properly. So, I can't even really say how my damage fares as built. However, that is to no avail in a raid party for me. I have completely slipped through the cracks.
  2. I am in one of those conundrums where I have NEVER once succeeded in a party to complete a raid or kill even the first boss because, one, I'm not knowledgeable and experienced enough to take up a spot in a raid party. And two, I'm not sure my DPS is acceptable. Good or bad, that's the reality for me. I suspect others as well. As I have discovered, hard end game content is for elite players that have the skill and DPS to do it. Survival of the fittest. DPS output is not all just about builds. It's about play style and skill. Some of us do fall through the cracks. I guess I'd have to say that it's not fair for me to end up in a raid party that has to carry me. So, while I loathe the idea of DPS meters in game, I understand the "rules of the jungle."
  3. Sometimes the guild halls are great places to practice with the griffin. And I have tried and practiced and am embarrassed at how clumsy I am. Practice makes perfect ... mostly.
  4. Ever since I got my skyscale mount, I stopped using my griffin. I never mastered the griffin to its full potential. I don't like flying mounts that are really just gliders. I know griffin masters can soar and gain altitude and fly with great skill and speed, but I'm not that skilled. I prefer a flying mount that actually flies, not one you have to dive bomb to the ground just to soar up again. That looks like a lot of fun, but you have to master its full potential. I have no use for such maneuvers as I like to get from point A to point B without a lot of fuss. But, that's just me. Master a griffin mount and it's by far a better flying mount that a skyscale. A Skyscale is a good mount to have if you want to afk in a mount for whatever reason, you can hover in the air and not be attacked on the ground. Watch out of range mobs though, but it's safe to afk atop a skyscale for a brief time.
  5. I just used my composter thingy on the account bound stash.
  6. Maybe it's like the toxic spore nodes. You only get a toxic spore off one of them and the other two give junk.
  7. If I could make a request, the item I really, really want is the Awakened Dye kit. I'd buy it in bulk! It's the last of the dye colors I don't have yet.
  8. I think the emergency waypoint should be a point of attack. It's part of the challenge of defending your position and part of the strategy of an invading attack force. Like one of the responses in this thread, it is a good idea to mount up first, then port in.
  9. Why not just make mounts free and place them on every account that doesn't have one? Seriously? Griffins and skyscales are available in certain maps where needed. Play the game, do the mount content, have fun. That's what I did.
  10. There is a special Looking for Guild section in the forum where many guilds recruiting offer the information you're looking for.
  11. Mythic weapons are awesome and they've packaged them like this so you spend more gems. And they they allow you to buy another package and dump the same items you already have now from the first purchase just because you want the mythic weapon skins. I think it's unfair, but it's what they do and if you want the skins bad enough, you'll pay dearly and get duplicate back pack or glider pack for it.
  12. I'd like to know how my dps and performance stacks up to others'.
  13. Engineer is so complicated a class to play, I don't know how to even play my own engineer. But, I can learn.
