  1. So, I was hyped to properly test out the new elites in beta (haven't bothered much before with previous xpacs). Wanted to wear them in all ascended to get a proper feel and compare them to the live game. Well logged in, created beta char and realized I don't have my n+1 ascended sets stored in the bank but actually have them equipped on my different live game chars. Well no worries, I thought! I'll just delete this beta char and deposit all the gear I need into the bank before re-creating a new beta char... voilá! But no, apparently the bank copy is/was created during the patch. Is it too much to ask for the bank copy to be created during the creation of a beta char. If so, then just slap every beta char with full legendaries. /facepalm
  2. Just a note that I actually often just run Diamond Skin (had it wrong in the linked build) and only switch for Stone Heart if I'm struggling 1v2 direct dmg builds. With Diamond Skin you can face tank 1v2 condi mesmers and laugh your way to the bank.
  3. You can probably get some results with scepter also but I'd say dagger is a lot stronger. Dagger #3 in fire, earth and air are big part of the build working. Pressure, kiting, avoid frame and oh-shit button all in there plus they don't require a target (helps a lot with thieves).
  4. What you looking for is this. Water over Fire is a big sustain improvement while not reaally cutting any dps in WvW environment. You won't run away from 4 people chasing you, but you can win some 1v3 and most 1v2 in WvW. You can eat most stuns even in 1v2 scenarios unless you agasint 2 full zerker classes and you have tons of soft CC to make up for the lack of mobility. You are pretty much immune to conditions and projectiles and very high uptime of protection. Every aura heals you for 765, cleanses 2 conditions and provides protection. And you have plenty of auras to go by. Damage is also respectable with close to 1700 condi dmg. This is no good for small or big scale, but for solo roaming and outnumbered fights it's very effective. For 1v1 you're pretty much bullet proof especially if you switch between Diamond Skin and Stone Heart as needed.

Fun reading bad players defending and justifying retal.Even more giggles is to sometimes watch a organized group stading still packed in open field and letting a blob of bads just freecast on them and while pumping out retal like now tomorrow and outhealing the dmg. Just watching for luls as enemy backline gets downed by retal only.It's just a shame that rarely the good play is rewarded by retal. No matter how well you play your role as dmg dealer and position yourself out of harm, retal will get you eventually. Sure you can invuln or heal through the retal but soon you run of out invulns/heals. Not all fights are over in 20sec. And even with good play you can't always afford to waste your heal just so you can live through your own well cast MS or other high frequency hitting bomb.Just slap a 1s CD on individual players taking retal dmg and problem solved. Still relevant in 1v1 and not out of proportion in 50v50.
