My original post was was asking about non-Steam versions of the game. Gifting games through Steam is built in to Steam. ANet needs to add a gift function added to the web store.

This doesn't work anyway, as the site errors out with a javascript error...even though javascript is enabled in chrome...honestly it's like they don't want to sell copies their game. If our accounts were linked to Steam this would be a non-issue...Steam makes it very easy to send gifts.

Would I then be able to buy it at a later time, or is that key stuck on my account?

I don't see any way to buy SotO for a family member as a gift in the ANet store...is there a way to do that that I'm missing?

yeah...not much of a comfort for sure...portal mesmers are gonna get lots of tips on those days.

So if I am required to do a jumping puzzle to complete the daily then I guess I'm out. Not everyone can play every game mode ANet...Why would you take away choices?

I would like a lot more clarification about what weapons can be used on what profession. The initial post from ANet is confusing. Can I use a longbow on my Ele and does that have all new skills?? **EDIT** After looking at what they actually said, I think I understand now: Each profession will have access to any of the weapons from that professions elite spec without having to equip that trait line...disappointing. So they aren't really adding new skills...just tweaking the trait lines.

Both the HP and Breakbar numbers need to be cut in half. The event is just not fun. It takes too long, it doesn't give good rewards, and the potential to fail is WAY too high for an open world event. If it gave amazing rewards, or if it was shorter, or if chance of failure were lower...change any of those things, you would have a better event. At this point all I'm doing is farming events to get my turtle and then I'll never do that event again.

Agreed...not sure why this wasn't just added like the beetle mount, where you get a letter after completing the story.

Agreed...Love this addition and wish it would spread to other parts of Tyria. Small additions like this are important. The best thing I've seen is the little grave and shrine for the cat the ANet dev killed on stream. Very funny.

Like we need more ways to make this community toxic. Sorry...this is a terrible idea. If you did it prior to nerfing...congrats. Don't ask ANet to make other players feel bad because you want to feel better then others.
