Hello all - The source of our problem was people skipping around the CloudFront cache. We blocked a number of those sources yesterday and just within the last hour another large group. Just now I fully patched the game from Dublin (via a VM) and didn't have any errors. In spite of that, there are 240 edge nodes around the world, and the one you connect to might still have some bad files, so please if you get blocked, send your gw2.log file to our CS people so we can stomp out the bad files. Anytime we invalidate a file it gets invalidated for everyone. (The terminology is odd - invalidating a bad file in this case is a good thing. The reason we don't invalidate all 670,000 files is that it would stress out our origins.) Thanks.

Sorry for the trouble. We have some kind of network congestion error that causes some of the 670,000 files we download to return an error that stops the download. The bad file gets cached in our Content Delivery Network. We're running downloads on our own and finding these files and flushing them from the cache. As best as I can tell it's much more reliable today than yesterday, which was pretty tough, but you could run into one of these files anytime. We continue to look for the root cause so we can fix it permanently.

Hi, I was looking at the server CPU performance vs. the level of zerg-ness in battles. Which means I die a lot since I'm distracted by graphs. I can watch the battle for a few minutes while dead (and of course people love to build siege weapons on top of dead me because of the ANet tag) but after a few minutes the rez timer would teleport me back to base, and I would have to run back over to the battle. So I rezzed myself. I assure you I was of little to no benefit to Blackgate. If/when I do this again I can switch among the other tier 1 teams for fairness (and also to see different play styles). Rezzing myself probably stuck out like a sore thumb - sorry! Also I did fire off some skills but mostly to see if I was experiencing skill lag. BTW, I was doing this a couple of nights before (before I thought of rezzing myself to avoid running back to battle) and I had a commander tag up that said "ANet Dude Looking at Lag". Would that help?
