  1. They did implement a QoL improvement to mount rentals...but unfortunately only for festival mount rentals I believe. During a festival, when you go to a mount rental they also give you a whistle that let's you call your mount to remount wherever you are. I have no idea why it's not implemented for the permanent roller-beetle rentals, but it really should be.
  2. Yeah, it's neat. Just wish it was a water chair instead of being a land chair with a magic puddle underneath it. Here, you can check out this quick video of someone showing off what it looks like!
  3. For a chair that is modeled after a floating flower and lily pads, and comes equipped with its own puddle, it would have been really cool for it to be able to also Actually float on water...like a stationary skimmer...since chairs seem to technically be treated like mounts anyways. I have no idea what kind of technical limitations may be involved, but if it was merely a lack of imagination on the design team's part, then, I just wanted to call out a missed opportunity!
  4. I'd really like to see the warclaw bring some form of the Warclaw's Blessing to PvE. Thematically speaking, the other mounts all have skills that suit their purpose and their essence. The warclaw's essence is to be a battle cat that people use charging into battles, and in WvW, that shows through by having a trained warclaw embolden the allies around it, leading them swiftly into battle. Why does the theme need to disappear in PvE? Let the warclaw still embolden it's nearby allies with some kind of buff in PvE, swiftness or otherwise. Kind of like seeing a large old school battle scene in a movie, and how there are certain people that are just flag bearers...sure, i guess they could stab people with the pointy end of the flag, but simply speaking they are there waving an allied flag, boosting team morale.
  5. Maybe it'll be like, a dive n' glide. Like, it briefly "dives" into the water to gain speed and then leaps out of the water to then glide like a griffon. Allowing it to reach a greater speed than when it is otherwise just skimming over the water? Wouldn't work in really shallow water or on sulfur/quicksand/etc, but could be an interesting way to enhance movement over deep water. Just spit ballin here.
  6. Underwater diving sounds cool...but my hummingbird skin won't do too well beneath the waves. :s For that reason, I kind of hope that's not what the new ability is, but I can't think of any other possibilities at the moment. Plus I'd love to get a whole different mount for underwater navigation, because I think it deserves its own set of varying movement skills rather than a single "dive" skill on the skimmer.
  7. What an amazing update!! Thank you for the communication Anet. I saw the Twitter post first which led me to your blog post, and I love the animated version of that art! With the bell swinging under the bridge, I could just imagine the tolling sound it would make, meaning "Calling all players...we have something epic to tell you....". Basically the Canthan dinner bell. COME AND GET IT! I know there are people that wanted to go somewhere new for the next expansion, but for me and I'm sure a lot of other players that never actually played GW1, Cantha IS somewhere new, and I am beyond excited!!
  8. Hi there, I read your message and realized that it seems awfully similar to the kinds of messages I put out when recruiting for my tiny/casual guild. I understand that starting your own group can be very special people, but if you are interested in joining forces, I would love to accept you and your guild members into Better Together Sometimes [TIME]. We are also a very small guild that has members doing a mix of fractals, pve, wvw, pvp, and more. Typically I tell ppl that the only rule for joining is to be friendly, and that the general culture is semi active ppl that organically group together. I am trying to push the group to be a Bit more social, however, and some fresh friendly faces may be just what we need. And we do have a guild hall, only lvl 11, but I'd be honored for you and the rest of DG to call it home. Let me know if you are interested in joining TIME. :)
  9. This is a great idea indeed and many of us would buy it. I for one have ;) check it out here! https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Storage_Expander
  10. Question here: How will style relate to the templates? For example, if I have a both a damage build and a support build, each using the same legendary gear, would I be able to transmute the gear within each build, thus allowing me to have different styles for my different setups, even though they both use the same equipment? Any additional elaboration is appreciated. :)
  11. To be clear, I hold no pretense that any of this will actually happen. It's more of a fun thought exercise and exploration of what could be, and what we might think is cool. That being said, I like this idea! It would likely require integration with some sort of fitness app and/or device (or development as its own, separate app) to work, and they'd have to go over the related Rewards with a fine-toothed comb... I'm imagining some sort of additional Daily tasks for mini-Boosters or Food. As a bonus/stretch feature, what if the awarded items were related to your projected workout? as in, cardio for Vitality buffs, running for Speed buffs, weight training for Power buffs... something like that. Whatcha think? Haha, yeah..I work in software so I can empathize with the inevitable headache of integrating something like that, but I like your take on it! Having the exercise style relate to your rewards is interesting. And I like the idea of mini boosters or food as rewards. Nothing too game breaking, but something still incentivizing you to exercise. I still wonder though whether something a little more generic would be the most flexible for people's interests, ya know? As in, maybe I really want that power buff, but weight training is just not the kind of exercise I'm in to. Instead if I earned a general "energy" currency or something that I could use at a vendor to buy those miniboosters or food or the like, then I can workout the way I want, and still feel like I can reap the rewards the way that I want. I really like the food and boosters idea though.
  12. I'm in a guild of ~30 people. Not everyone is super active all the time and that's okay because we're geared towards being casual, organic, friendly, and enjoying a mix of solo and group play. We do have a discord to keep in touch outside the game. We're called Better Together Sometimes [TIME], let me know if you're interested! :) Our only rule really is to be friendly/respectful. No other requirements.
  13. I'm in a guild of ~30 people. Not everyone is super active, but our group is geared towards being friendly, casual, organic, and enjoying a mix of solo and group play. We have a discord, and picking up a few more active players to spice things up would be great! If you're looking for something a little more hardcore and organized, then we may not be for you, but if you're looking to start small and chill, then maybe we are :) We have no requirements other than being friendly and respectful. Let me know if this interests you at all! We're called Better Together Sometimes [TIME].
  14. I know this isn't realistic and I haven't thought about it enough for there to be much nuance to this statement, but I've always liked the idea of like, maybe a fitness app approach or something. I love gw2 and I play it a ton, and sometimes it's hard to get my butt up to go workout when I'd rather be playing, and it's crossed my mind more than once where I thought, "I wish I could go workout, and have it do something for me in game. Come on ANet, support my physical health." Lol. Maybe it would be like, as you run or something, you get some benefit built up in game. Or maybe you build up energy or something in game, and it can be used to craft something or be converted into karma. So, I know it's totally out there, but I just want to be able to play guild wars even when I'm trying to be good and not play guild wars!
  15. I was in Lion's Arch near the asura gates (in Coriolis Plaza), and I saw two kids running by with Lightning Kites!!! Not sure if that is always there or not, but I imagine it is instead an easter egg foreshadowing the festival that is just around the corner :D Anyone notice other little changes like this?
