  1. I think you are probably correct in organized groups with people who are trained and good in their classes; however, I find boon chronos are actually effective in certain strategies and scenarios. For example, If you notice boons are dropping frequently, an Inspi-SOI chrono is really nice. You don't need boon duration for Inspi/SoI chrono since SoI is not affected by Boon Duration, and you can just take that in your standard STM build at a dps loss, but if you're tanking with a shield, then you want at least some boon duration over normal STM boon duration, since you have less access to clones, and therefore less quickness generation via STM. Boons dropping can frequently happen in PUGS, in bosses where people are splitting up a lot and don't regroup quickly enough (e.g. VG, Xera under 50% teleports), or in bosses that are frequently a little messy with people scrambling everywhere or worrying about mechanics instead of applying boons (e.g. Deimos, Dhuum). Additionally, just like your example of Soulless Horror, Largos split strat is another example where chronos are covering alac + quick, unless their playing perfectly, a little more boon duration is a nice thing to have. That's already like half of the toughness tanking encounters. Another scenario is if you're responsible for 10-man quickness. You want a fairly high level of boon duration to make sure the quickness doesn't drop off anyone, in conjunction with inspi+SoI and high clone generation. If you have low clone generation, such as if you're not taking greatsword, you want even more boon duration to make up for less frequent shatters. Point is, ideally yes, we don't have tank chronos anymore. However, in that same ideal world, we have druids/alacrens tanking, we have chrono/DH stacks so we don't need a dedicated quickness, we don't even use 1 hfb because 1 healer is enough. We don't even need to reapply boons frequently because encounters don't last that long. We just don't live under that ideal world, and boon chronos are good at making up for that.
  2. The funny part is that many players complain about the killproofing, but once they have acquired the killproof and are looking for easy clears for their weekly rewards, they likely become part of the problem unless their advertising "no KP chill runs" and they don't get toxic when some players who have never seen the boss join the squad. Yes, people with KP could still suck, but asking for KP is perfectly reasonable if a squad leader is looking for people who have cleared the raid to the end multiple times, to ensure they don't need to explain mechanics to anyone, and to increase the chances of a successful clear. On average, someone with KP will be more comfortable with mechanics than someone without KP, and that hasn't done raids. If you want to do raids and you don't have the killproof, you need to start where most other raiders started: in training groups, guild groups, or joining semi-exp groups after watching videos and reading about the raid mechanics to ensure that you don't look like you've never seen the fight before. If you're essentially able to join clears with KP reqs without having any KP, you're probably going to be carried by the other members of your party and not learn any mechanics.
  3. I assume you're talking about the CM breakbars, because realistically those are the ones that actually need to be taken seriously; non-cm breakbars kinda passively get broken in normal T4s. CMs have a PUG "meta" of who is doing what, who is expected to bring what, and part of learning CMs is learning what those metas are. An Alacren is not going to realize that they are responsible for almost all breakbars if they're doing it with a static where other people are being responsible with CC, or that they are responsible for killing Anomaly on 99CM Ark (which is stupid when a holosmith can just hit the anomaly with two autoattacks while the alacren needs to do a full rotation, which pulls them off the stack for a longer amount of time and makes them less able to distribute alacrity). Also, Alacren is supposed to camp sword most of the time, they should be pulling out staff for cc breaks, and if they're waiting for weapon swap while already in staff, they can use the block. Alacren burst rotation doesn't include staff at all.
  4. Hello! Quick question, how many active members are online on an average day-to-day basis? Thanks!
